They plan on fixing the scale a bit, adding a new town and reducing the size of some fuckhuge fields. You don't know what a Sandbox MMO is. Runescape isn't one. The endgame is the same for all players. There aren't any ways for players to make names for themselves or leave an impact in the game world. Everyone does the same quests and skills and there are no restrictions for making one choice over another. The endgame content requires you to level all of your skills, leading to a completely homogenized experience much like WoW is. You don't need to interact with anyone to do any of the content, there's even a mode dedicated to playing the game in a single player fashion.

Just because the game has no classes it doesn't mean it's a sandbox.
