What do you think we'll see? I'd like to see the Enforcer come back as someone who controls the battlefield. In RoR1 his shotgun naturally pierced, with a wide enough spray and proc coefficient he could have some serious crowd control. I'd like to see his shield be limited to wherever he's facing, maybe magnetizing projectiles or expanding like Reinhardt's shield. I think a character who slows/calms things down like the Engineer does could be really fun.

Depends on how many ticks of damage you take from the laser because the game applies a full burning dot with each of the little tickle of the laser which is why its such an instagib. A fraction of a second being lasered has had people taking damage in 1000+ amounts per tick of the dot so you might die anyway even with the 10k health you'd have eventually.

How do I find an elite boss on Monsoon? Do I just need to get lucky/last long enough? Are there any tricks?

Also, are there any tricks to charging the teleporter at less than 90%? These are the only things I have left.

My guess is that they'll be another minor bug fix/QoL update alongside this roadmap they've been promising, then after that we might see a content update in another month's time. Shrine of the Mountain can spawn elite bosses, otherwise it's just about living long enough for them to appear naturally.
Charge the teleporter to 98%, kill the boss, then stand outside the teleporter until your health is at 10% and walk in. Super easy.

You can pop a mountain shrine and see if you get lucky with a elite boss enemy spawn but it might just be some burning wisps or something instead that wont count.

For the 10% health thing you can just charge it normally to ~99%, let something small whack you until you're below 10% and then walk in. Easier to do on mul-t with his retarded health gain per level.

Your health only matters when the teleporter hits 100%, you can be full health for 98% of the charging but as long as you're below 10% when it's finished charging that's all you need.

For now, it'll eventually have an endgame but it's still very early access.

There's no end yet because the game's not finished. There's only a de facto ending where the game tries to spawn enemies for you but deems even its hardest bosses as too easy for you; and another ending where you obliterate yourself from existence.

84 hours, and that was easily my favorite fucking run. Holy shit. The Berserker Pauldron + Predatory Instinct + two Ceremonial Daggers + never ending crits thanks to two Gestures was fucking incredible. Just flying by while 100s of daggers on screen fucking melted Lemuria. The two Transcendences weren't too shabby, either. Definitely gonna look to stack Transcendence from now on. What a fucking session. Game that makes you feel like a god.

The fastest way to turn money into productivity is to hire people and the process of onboarding someone can take upward of weeks of productivity lost spent teaching them how the project is set up before you start getting payoffs. For a project like this with a clear goal I don't want some faggot wannabe designer poking his nose into the game to "fix" things that aren't in need of fixing.
As much as I dislike gearbox, being published by them provides hoppo a QA team and internal testers. It's a shame that hoppo won't be sneakily sharing experiments in threads because the game is now substantially larger than a game maker project that a few students are working on.

Hopoo admitted on his twitter that blazing Titans have 24 fucking procs per hit of the lazer. It takes nothing, absolutely nothing, to fix this, as modanon has demonstrated, and dole out a patch. And he didn't get 500k units worth of sales.

Horde bosses don't count. Greater Wisps and Stone Golems are just normal mobs and don't count for Deicide. Overloading Worm is also not an elite boss, it's its own enemy variant and not an elite version of a Magma Worm. Otherwise it'd have a shield.

Hotfixes are for things that are literally game breaking, like people not being able to launch the game or not being able to connect to multiplayer. Fire dot being broken specifically on stone titan only affects a small amount of people. It's not urgent enough for a hotfix; it'll be patched along with other bugs and maybe even balance changes in the upcoming patch.

this is a pretty big issue as the game goes on. Infusion is pretty weak and inconsistent and (essentially) one-shots are so common especially in multiplayer

Yeah, too many attacks deal basically no damage meaning there are only a few that you actually have to worry about, and those either send you into OH FUCK I NEED TO HEAL NOW mode, or instantly kill you.
On top of that the defensive items are all flat increases rather than scaling with your max health, so that 10 heal per medpack becomes useless by stage 3 when you have 700 max health already.

The untextured model in RoR2 doesn't look very female, sorry.

It feels like the difference in passive scaling between players and enemies is way more weighted for enemies this time around. Even when you were doing loops in 1 or dicking around on contact light nabbing shit before the final fight you could still nab a couple levels per stage unless you were really good at bee lining for the teleporter fast and even then you'd get a decent amount of xp from clearing the shit that spawns.
In 2 it feels like after about level 30 which you can easily hit by the hour mark you need astronomically more XP to level and having hundreds of thousands of gold at the end of a stage will barely budge your meter. So your natural health scaling has a soft cap because at that point an extra 20 health after 3+ stages when you finally level again basically doesn't matter.

Did a run earlier today where we managed to get to the 180 minute mark where shit stopped spawning and we only ended up at level 40 when we obliterated outselves since nothing was spawning and our commando was shitting out so many missiles because of gesture cheese and everyone feeding him stickies at printers it wouldn't matter what spawned anyhow.

This effect gets really noticeable because of how easy it is to get smacked with a burn proc from elites because theres ranged attacks on most of the enemies, some of which have little to no time between shots like elder lemurians that can just constantly vomit at you or crabs that you can almost never see coming while fighting everything else on the map. Tough times was a better item for giving players durability that would scale into lategame and tougher times, while still good, only creates polarizing results that everybody is starting to get frustrated with.

Infusion in Risk of Rain was permanent if I recall; you just kept playing, looping, killing, and your health was always increasing just like the planet's inhabitants. Not so in 2. I think just making Infusion like it was in 1 would solve a lot of issues, but it would have the drawback of making Transcendence useless.

Gesture of the Drowned is the item you unlock for doing that bully 20 hermit crabs off the edge of the map challenge.
It reduces your use item's cd by 50% each stack multiplicatively but also makes it pop automatically off cooldown. He had disposable missile launchers that already come with a ~45 second cd before any modifiers and he had enough combined fuel cells and gestures to get it down to 4 seconds. This was less time than it took for a single volley of missiles to finish firing so there were always missiles flying out of him killing anything that spawned.

Fun fact if you shoot enough missiles and there's nothing on the map eventually they come flying back down and just smash into the ground.

This could also be a little bit of what makes everyone so squishy in 2 and its clearly a measure to try and make the higher number limits the engine can handle less abusable. The defensive items in general for 2 are also very situational. Either its just stuff that is only active outside of combat or while sprinting which is of dubious use or its stuff that just doesn't stack very well like fucking medkits or monster teeth. Tough times used to be one of the go to items because it was always working and helped in every situation you could take damage and we had stuff like root to give our health pools percentage based scaling that you could stack infinitely. The only reliably attainable items like that in 2 are shield generators which are hampered by needing to recharge or infusion that has its cap which makes it very low value for some classes.
Fucking Mul-T gets 60 health per level according to the logbook though I'm pretty sure its a little more than that so every maxed stack of infusion is a little less than two levels of progression after 100 kills which isn't enough to counteract how much damage enemies can do now with large numbers and lots of rapid fire attacks.

I feel like infusion should continue to give hp after killing enemies per infusion, but with diminishing effects. For example, 1 infusion still gives 100 hp at a rate of 1hp per kill, BUT after reaching 100 hp softcap, you get 1 hp per 2 kills up to 100 kills, and then 1 hp per 5 kills, and finally 1 hp per 10 kills where it hardcaps.
Older infusions would continue to give hp up to a maximum of 400, and it would still be worth picking up new infusions to get more hp faster.

If this is too much, the numbers could simply be adjusted e.g after reaching 100, 5 kills are needed for 1 hp instead of just 2.

Monster Tooth would be fine if they homed in to the player. Make each stack increase the radius the player can absorb them from, like 5-10m per stack.

Because literally nobody cares about ice or overloading enemies which means the game is horribly unbalanced in favor of blazers. And then blighted enemies are still on the way, along with a slew of different enemy types.

Because it's a fun game. Like I played Kingdom Come at launch. Was it buggy? Yeah, sure, but it was very much worth getting through the bugs to have fun with the rest if the game.

Part of why the game is so binary for survival in late game is because there's actually only a few attacks that are threatening in damage. Look at this webm for example.
The clap does like 40 damage. That's absolutely nothing. There's no way a golem should be doing such pitiful damage 2 hours into a monsoon game. Some attacks just do too much damage to make up for the fact that so many of them do such low damage. The blazing enemies are the most obvious so they stand out the most, but the enemy damage needs to be a bit more normalized as a whole.

Blazing shouldn't 1 shot you because there are so many items in the game based on the idea that you won't be one shot. The fact that you would never die without blazing just shows that more than blazing is out of balance.

That is untrue. in addition to the heal over time, woodsprite heals for 10% upon being sent to a target. When you are not aimed at an ally, the target is yourself. You are allowed to push the button and pop the 10% on movement burst heal on a target that is already being healed by the sprite, including yourself.

MUL-T straight up needs scythes, seeds, and instincts more. His stupid high firing speed means he benefits from them far more than mando. Moreover because of his low proc coef, he benefits more from crit glasses and attack speed in general.

Mando on the other hand benefits much more from proc items than attack speed. Alll of his attacks have a coef of 1, so they all proc items better than MUL-T does.

while they both require the same items, the amounts they need are not the same in the slightest.
