I understand that it sounds like a joke, and the use of a reaction image does sort of make it "funnier", but people don't really read posts without images if they're not a response.

It is totally and completely real. I had always suspected that the two had some weird relationship, but I did not imagine it was this. I had seen my dad talking to her in the middle of the night sometimes when I was a teenager, but I assumed they were talking about my mother, or sister, or just serious stuff.

As for how I found out: I am currently in College, but I am only an hour and a half of driving away from my parents. My Thursday classes were cancelled, and I have no class Friday, so I thought I would go visit them. Well I ended up being delayed, and I got there at night, at like 8 or 9 PM. My mom's car was gone, but my dad's was still there. I unlock the door with my key, go in. My dad's light is off, but I see my grandmother's is. I get near the door intending to knock, but I can hear a lot of noise coming from inside. Confused I headed back outside and looked through my Grandmother's window on the side of the house, and through the corner of the blinds I could VERY CLEARLY see what was going on. Pretty obvious this has been happening for years because of their late night conversations I heard.

Now I'm just torn. Telling my mother would probably break her heart. It would also probably lead to some sort of divorce, and I fear for her. My mother was always a stay at home mom, and now she is older with no income. If they separate (and she certainly won't live with her mom after that) what will she do? What will I do? I still live with my parents during the summer, and they help me pay for College moderately (most of the money comes from my scholarships, some is from a few loans I got, and some is from them).

I ended up staying 50 minutes longer at work than I was supposed to

How can I be close to my father and grandmother after this? I can only imagine being disgusted when I see their faces. I know I am currently in the shock stage still, but right now I don't even want to see them.

However, to you and these two: Not telling is obviously the most practical and logical thing to do. Also the safest, but I just have this horrible and terrible knot in my stomach since last night that has not gone away, even when I went to bed and woke up. I've been unable to really focus on anything because of it. I haven't even eaten anything, nor have I felt hungry at all.

Maybe it'll get easier as time goes on.

I've been in therapy for years and it still affects me on a daily basis. Translation, no spanish for me, but I can pick up enough to usually cobble together certain things from Cormac McCarthy and others that have a tiny bit in their writing. Luckily his translations are all amazing IMO.

I bought 2k17 and then held off on 2k18 because it was somehow even buggier.

I've heard the story mode is waay better and I think there's something better about the Universe mode, but I dunno.

Let me suggest moving East of Eden into the top of your list if you haven't tackled it yet. One of my absolute favorites that gets overshadowed by Grapes and OM&M, but it's probably Steinbeck's best. I also have a tattoo based on it.

its linear as fuck but its actually pretty good from what ive played, the early game is annoying but once you get to the SmackDown portion of the story its pretty fun leveling up your character, you can also do these mortal kombat style towers with your mycareer guy too which is a good time waster, i actually bought it on sale yesterday too for like 20 bucks, i think it just got on another sale too at least on Xbox with the spring sale.

Yoshi gets better as it goes. It only really gets consistently difficult around the 3rd or 4th world. There's some challenging shit throughout, especially if you go for everything and finish the bonus world. I'd ignore the souvenir hunts, it's mostly filler content. It's probably the 3rd best Yoshi game behind Woolly World.

One of my favorite games. The combat is a bit frustrating at first but once it clicks it really clicks and the game becomes even better than it already was. I'd recommend that you grab it when it's on sale if you're waiting for that.

Depending on how much time I have I brew a pot in my moka or french press and then add oat milk and sugar in the raw. If I have plenty of time and the sink is empty, I'll use the frother to make a cappuccino. Really depends on the bean though. I try to get them from these local shops who roast nearby and have a high turnover, so the beans are always fresh.

i'd recommend watching Ghost in the Shell if you haven't seen it already. more on the cyberpunk side of things and a little more politically charged, but it still hits that note of philosophical sci-fi that i loved Bebop so dearly for. as for reading.. i honestly can't say. never read anything else quite like Siddhartha. if you like its blend of eastern and western spirituality, psychoanalysis and philosophy, check some Alan Watts lectures on Youtube or something. that should give a pretty good jumping off point if you like what you hear!

i think i'll be waiting to see how he sticks the landing of BCS and the upcoming BB movie, but i'm inclined to agree. Gilligan hasn't really disappointed me yet. honestly i've seen BCS catching some flack for being so slow and aimless from some portions of the BB/BCS fanbase, but that show honestly takes my favorite parts of BB and cranks them up to 11. Gilligan's writing benefits from a slow burn, i think.

Most definitely. BCS is much slower, but I can see how if you don't like law or courtroom drama it might not interest you as much. I just love deep backstories (part of why I was disappointyed with BB season 5 and the laughable nazi antagonists) and getting seasons worth of that for Mike and Jimmy is just heaven.

It wouldn't have been so bad if the series didn't pivot straight from Gus, who is a fucking baller, has a deep backstory, and is well-written straight into Todd and his hillbilly fuck friends who are just there to be 100% evil assholes. With every other antagonist they had aspects of them that made you sympathize with them in some way or at least see why they did what they did, even if it directly fucked with Walt and Jesse. It would have been a stronger finale if it was strictly Hank and the DEA vs. Walt IMO, but at least that part of season five is insanely well done and tense.
That's part of what makes BCS so good for me, is Jimmy, Nacho, and Mike all do horrible shit, but you still end up pitying them or understanding why.

I watched the film as a kid (lol) and didnt understand it but loved the look (thats the point really)
I got the Bluray/DVD rerelease a few years ago and the film is definitely supposed to be more of a supplement/bonus where as reading is actually pretty insightful and there's two very distinct arcs (Pre Akira waking up and post) and its just impossible for the film to have captured everything without getting messy
I just finished book 5, will get the last when the month is up. If there was ever a case of "make sure you read the manga besides just watching the anime" i think Akira is it. I say that as someone with arguably pleb tastes but I'm genuinely enjoying Akira. I also appreciate how fucking (EA) BIG the actual volumes are, worthy of the detailed art
Appreciate it, its something vidya related (HR/PR) so a bit more stable than something like QA or other project/temp based jobs, we'll see

you nailed it if you ask me, and towards the end of the run (especially right around the time Gus was dealt with), i really assumed Hank/DEA vs. Walt was going to be the focus. as for your last point about BCS, it's funny you should mention that. i already loved Gus more than enough in BB, but his appearances in BCS have only added to that love. i can't believe i never thought to mention Nacho, either. if there's one thing i really enjoy about the direction BCS has been taking, it's definitely been a greater focus on his character.
it's really kind of funny that you describe Akira like that. although i really did love the film, there were several moments while watching where i had to kind of scratch my head at how things jumped around. good to hear the manga rectifies that, i'll definitely be giving it a read now. might have to look into the actual volumes as well instead of just reading online as i usually do. a quality product really makes a difference. bought the first volume of Hellboy's library editions and as much as i'd like to keep reading, i just refuse to do so until i can get a copy of the second volume. and jeez, watching Akira as a kid.. must've been a helluva time lol.

Fuck yeah. They're the only good "visual novels" that exist. Even though they're linear and dont feature alternate endings, the games do an incredible job of making you feel like you're effecting and progressing the story through your own logical deductions. I don't know what being a lawyer feels like, but I'm going to say that "the games really make you feel like a lawyer" anyway. Hell, you'll even feel like a detective as well.
