Insomniac raped my husbando harder then half of those Thugs 4 Less related fanfics did.
The PS3 trilogy was already kinda wonky on the story with the orphan, last of his kind garbage, but for the most part kept the same humor and slight edge to it. The gameplay changes were also pretty nice.
Then this god awful remake came and fucking took everything away and left the series to probably die as Insomniac goes the way of Naughty Dog or some shit.

This is the correct opinion. Compared to 3, 2 has higher highs but lower lows (the ship and Giant Clank sections are janky bullshit and you know it), where as 3 doesn't reach the same heights, but at least remains consistently decent.

2 also has many parts where it just feels like it drags forever and they're just not fun at all. Lots of padding. From the first three, it's actually my least favorite. But Size Matters still takes the cake for the absolute worst I've played. I ignored everything after Future trilogy. No point.

Super slow strafing yes, which the reboot did objectively better and wasnt given halfway through the game

the story is bit all over the place, with some stupid shit like, oh the masked thief is actually a girl, she's automatically a good guy now
the characters feel boring and the dialog forced
the planets are boring, there's like what, 4 god damn megacorp factory levels
the only memorable planets are memorable because they're infamously shit, like the ice level
giant clank levels are a complete mess
I really hated the spaceship levels, god they were so tedious and mind-numbing

One has kino atmosphere and music, 2 has better movement and weapons than 1 and also added gladiator arenas + hoverbike races. Gladiator is nice as co-op. 3 feels so rushed and environments are boring. Guns level up so often that it gives off a Diablo 3 prestige level shit that I hate. Constant "Number went up yay"-stuff.
