Warframe current state is pretty damn horrible. its prime(was 3 years ago, but right now it feels lackluster

It's really grindy, but the controls are good and the community is mostly nice and mature. Plenty of different guns, gunplay itself is tight. Big plus is that it's premium currency is extremely easy to come by and can be traded amongst players which kinda ofsets the grinding (you can buy most weapon or frame parts in the market).

You do the slip and slide a lot and then there's grinding.

My one rejoinder here is that Warframe is the only game I’ve ever played where I have real, genuine and grounded faith that the devs will fix shitty aspects. Comparing Warframe today to Warframe 4 years ago, it’s not even the same game. Every subsystem is on 2.0 right now, they’re working on multiple 3.0s as well (melee, damage, modding, archwing).

Warframe is proof that game-as-service can be a good thing, if only because it really is a labor of constant attention.

Lots of questions about the core mechanics are not explained (leaving you to look it up at the wiki). I don't want the game to hold my hands, but when there is no structure to teach you how to work with the games core mechanics, especially when the difficulty picks up, you quickly get lost and lose interest.

Warframe is a comfy game and is pretty fun for the first few days. Then you either get addicted to the massive grind or be lucky enough to quit early.

If you don't mind or even enjoy grinding and farming while listening to a podcast or something, it's great. The combat is fun and the frames are designed well, but the overall purpose is the farm and grind.

In order to unlock the other frames you simply had to randomly drop 3 blueprints, craft it, then the entire frame blueprint and craft it.
Took a total of 4 days if you crafted the three components first.

The game tells you just about nothing despite a lot of unfamiliar terms and systems, none of which are actually remotely complex but become complex because there's nothing to explain them. Just do a google search for anything you want to find out about, don't bother asking people in-game or anywhere else because a quick article or video can tell you everything you need to know. Never engage with any system in the game (even shit like fishing when you get the chance to fish) without doing some research or you'll just waste your time.

I've only got about 60 hours in it, bit I'm having fun. I've played pretty much exclusively alone, and the game holds up pretty well. It is pretty intimidating to start, but once you start to understand it a little, it becomes quite a comfy game

The game does a very poor job at explaining basic concepts and mechanics. Half of your abilities will have some hidden mechanic or interaction to them that your Abilities tab fails to mention (being able to have multiple Frost orbs, being able to charge Vauban teslas, etc.). The game fails to mention Rivens, Arbitrations, the benefits of gamemodes like Rathuum, and even weapon effects. You'll do completely fine if you have a friend who is already familiar with the game to explain things to you. Otherwise, make use of a Clan or Region chat to get answers to your questions, or rely on the Wiki.

The Orbiter is actually entirely different from your ship. Your home is a big floating rig, whereas your ship is just what carries you to and from your missions. It has a shitty new player experience but once you go down the rabbit hole it's a whole load of fun. The downside is that the game eats your soul bit by bit as you put in more and more hours into it. The grind literally never ends as the grind is the game.

Honestly the fact that you can trade in game items for platinum really helps the shitty aspects of the cash shop. It just doesn't help the new player at all. Having a couple warframe slots and like a dozen weapon slots really sucks because you'll fill that in a couple days of playing. Sure most of that shit isn't worth keeping after you rank it up to 30 but still. It sucks.

Once you get a couple valuable drops that you can trade the game gets a lot better and it's possible to make quite a bit of plat just by playing the game. I think it's definitely one of the better cash shops in f2p games since there isn't really any point in buying frames or weapons because you're literally skipping gameplay if you do so.

Warframe is the best out of the 3 sci-fi looter shooters by a fair margin (Warframe, Destiny, and Anthem). It has its problems (balancing, rivens, community) but overall its extremely enjoyable to play. The grind can be a bit much at times but its an amazing game and I'd recommend it. The storyline is fantastic as well.

If you don't REALLY like the base movement and gunplay, you probably won't like the game at all. If you have good motivation, slight autism, and are mindful about playing with purpose, you can probably grind up literally all the content in the game (aside from events) in six months or less, but again, you HAVE to find the basic gameplay entertaining if you don't want to just burn out partway through.

That said, the movement system is very freeform and makes basic traversal pretty entertaining. The floor is lava - only shitters sprint for prolonged periods of time.

I do think the endgame will be expanded upon soon, as this has been an issue of warframe for a while. (I think The New War is going to introduce the new Tau System as the next starchart for higher level players and the next open world area will take place in this new starchart).

It's a good game with lots of potential but the devs are incompetent and don't have the slightest idea on where to take things from a gameplay and story perspective, and at this point are just improvising everything and mixing it together like a big blend of half-finished, half-started ideas that may or may not be updated at all once they are initially introduced into the game.

Apply the above for each Warframe, weapons and missions. If you think you can stand that, then maybe you should try it out. It's best played on/off, few days in between to give yourself a break.

I'm taking from couple months to half year breaks between grinding marathons. There's no other braindead horde shooters with smooth movement and combat, sexy asses and variety of guns like Warframe so it's worth coming back to from time to time.

Pretty grindy game, can suck out a lot of your time if you don't enjoy grind then it's not the game for you.
New player experience is atrocious
That said it has very beautiful graphics, it's quite well optimized compared to other games like MHW. Has a huge variety of enemies, maps, weapons and customization.
You can customize very fine details on how everything looks, from your weapons to your accesories.
Premium currency is tradeable without restrictions so you will never have to buy any plat from the devs unless you want to support them.
Weapon variety and customization is also huge, as well as frame variety they're all so far pretty unique on their own in both abilities and design, even if some are overshadowed by others.
The movement is the best part of the game, it's absolutely fantastic and feels very fluid.
Nothing in the game is really a threat, everything can be overcome assuming you have the right tools, and we have so many tools that we can stack one upon the other making any content trivial for experienced and well geared players, this can be good or bad depending on who you ask.
It's insanely intricate and there's a lot of things you keep learning even when you're 1k hours +

Overall one of the best F2P games out atm, try it out. 8/10

The only problem with modding is retarded exaggerated scaling of everything in Warframe. Plus gazillion damage to player's gun, plus gorillion armor to enemies. They need to tone it down and slap some sweet stats onto augments/utility/meme mods.
