We're still sitting with way more topspeed characters than other classes. If we hit a threshold of 32 characters that'd allow all 4 of the kart classes to have 8 different characters distributed among them. Of the characters listed above, topspeed is already at 10 unless you omit the 4 CNK bosses (including big norm) to bring it down to 8.

They're way too big to fit in the same kart. Polar and Pura at least have the excuse of being half Crash/Coco's size but the extra head geometry made them less than viable for multiplayer that already has to severely downgrade player models to have playable framerates.

Nonsense. I was able to unlock all stages as a kid no problem. Some gems and crystals are definitely harder than others, but you can do them all. I always found gems harder to get in single player, crystals harder in two player.
