Nope. For me, it's Midir.
She makes me the hardest if you catch my drift
Stay right in front of him and it's not too bad.
you've been tricked into thinking the fight was harder because it's long but in reality nameless king is more difficult
The Headless are mechanically more difficult than any boss in any From game.
I'd say The Bully is the hardest
>tfw perma banned
it hurts, bros
Agreed that it's probably among the hardest in the Souls trilogy.
Difficult but not too bad.
However...
An enormous damage-sponge that constantly runs away from you to use ranged attacks is my personal conception of hell.
Nameless king hits hard but his attacks far slower. The King of the Storm phase is also very very easy.
>enormous damage-sponge
He dies in like 3 minutes with an SL1 character. Hit the fucking head.
Wrong
It's a trash not a boss. Just two attacks and large hp bar.
tell us the story
Hard, but still a really fun fight.
It's been too long since I've beaten her but I don't remember her taking too long compared to the other dlc bosses, Midir definitely had more attempts than Friede.
In terms of raw attempts I think it goes to Orphan.
1. Sword Saint Isshin
2. Old Isshin
3. Owl
4. Friede
5. Orphan of Kos
6. Laurence
7. Midir
8. Nameless King
9. Maneaters
10. Ornstein & Smough
Headless is the worst boss that isn't a gimmick/puzzle. Absolute chore to fight.
It's weird how laughably simple his attack patterns are compared to any good DS3/BB/Sekiro boss, yet he is hard purely because DS2 shitboxes and movement make it hard
I have an objection.
Maybe, I was so done with DS3's shit by this point I just stopped playing because the magic was gone
>OP said FROM bosses
>Only talking about Souls and Sekiro
Are zoomers really this retarded about the company?
YYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOW
He was the hardest souls boss by a mile.
Still the most difficult one for me, took me 50+ tries to finally kill him.
Armored Core is easy, Kings Field isn't good, and I haven't played Tenchu.
why are ds2 bosses so easy?
Sword Saint Isshin and Oprhan of Kosm were the biggest anal rape sessions I've partaken in FROM's action games.
Fucking hell you zoomies are idiotic
harder than ds3 ones atleast
I haven't played Sekiro yet but I'd say Pontiff for hardest. I just couldn't get good against him and had to summon.
>harder than ds3 ones atleast
2 kats is literally the most difficult boss that from ever created
Because ds2 just spin-off of ds series. Ds3 is real Ds2
>Armored Core is easy
Yeah right, some of the last fights in AC4A are ridiculous
Your average Soulsshitter would get absolutely filtered by White Glint alone
I couldn't even beat Last Raven
I had more trouble with Midir
gael on ng+5 that HP is just ridiculous
Guardian Ape has proven to be far more challenging to me than Nameless King and anything in BB+DLC.
Sekiro just seems more demanding to me than anything from Souls. And I’ve beaten every boss in every game yet I’m on my 9th attempt on Guardian Ape and only getting to phase 2 consistently now.
*blocks your path*
Ancient Dragon.
You shouldn't be allowed to post about Sekiro difficulty until 24 hours after you've 100%ed the game
This is absolutely pitiful
>falls over in under a minute to any heavy weapon
>people bitch for years
?????
Also ranged attacks. These are the same people who don't know the difference between being hard games and having a learning curve. In short, they're stupid.
She's definitely the most tedious.
Lilac Umbrella + Projected Force say hello.
I don't think the umbrella protects you against getting anal fisted repeatedly
For me it was nameless king’s first phase. I couldn’t hit that wyvern’s head for shit since the arena fucked with my sense of distance so it made me waste more swings with my ugs, which in turn gave me less stamina to run away from the fire breath
>Lilac Umbrella + Projected Force say hello.
I mean if you really want to trivialize the fight, all you have to do is run behind him and stay there. He takes several seconds to turn around, I haven't seen such an easily exploitable boss since Bloodstarved Beast.
every time i fight this nigger that soulja boy song comes into my head
youtube.com
The headless are not hard at all. what the fuck are you talking about
If you had trouble fighting Isshin then you just didn't learn how to play the game properly.
*uses shield*
Nothing personell ape
It's hard until you learn to roll, then it just turns into a dance
Even hitting the head he has massive HP pool.
Are you fucking joking?
If you had trouble fighting Friede then you just didn't learn how to play the game properly.
2cat, just from the sheer fuckery of their attack timing and that slog of a run to the boss fog. Took me the longest of any souls boss
Hitting the head enough will result in getting a riposte/visceral attack that will pretty much take 20% of his health. It's not as bad as it first looks, if you go for the head consistently.
>that slog of a run to the boss fog.
2cat and Shadow of Yharnam are the worst offenders
>Dude 3 phases where she regains all her health back
>Also during phase 2 you fight 2 bosses lol
She was just tedious to fight, just like the two demons and Midir. None of DaS3 bosses are particularly difficult. Gael is pretty balanced, Gundyr is a roll spam same with the Pontiff and the Nameless King literally shits the bed hard if you play with greatswords.
Hardest SL1 boss? OCELOTTEEEEEEEEEE (one shots you with no predictable shit)
I never played Ark souls 3, so I can't comment on it, but Isshin spams attacks that leave him open or a couple seconds and he also spams lunge attacks. Breaking his posture is extremely easy and if you think he's actually difficult, let alone the hardest boss that FromSoft has ever made, you're just retarded.
>OCELOTTEEEEEEEEEE
>holding on a silent letter
Who taught you people how to act like this?
For me its
1. Orphan of Kos
2. Friede
3. SS Isshin
4. Ludwig
5. Fume Knight
Some fights like Midir might be harder than Fume Knight but its also a completely shit fight that I hate so I don't care.
DaS3 would be the most fun game to SL1 if it weren't for him. Hes such a shit fight.
Idk how people find orenstein and smough difficult. I always 1 or 2 shotted them
Fanchon, Wynne, Roadie, Otsdarva, and Kasumi.
The Loran Darkbeast from the chalice dungeons is the most difficulty a From game has ever given me.
Just stay behind him and slap his ass with the dark hand / bandit knife, dumpass
He cant hit you
>I always 1 or 2 shotted them
Shitposting needs plausibility to work, you overreached.
I watched a video of Orphan of Kos and he looks 10x harder than Isshin. Why do enemies in Bloodborne move so fast? When he goes into his wings phase he practically teleports and spams attacks and AoE shit, how this is beatable in game where you move "slower" than Wolf I don't understand.
that thing was by far the biggest pain in the ass when I was doing a low level run with a mace. so much dicking around just to get 2 hits in while the camera shits itself.
Orphan is the only boss that i cannot beat solo for some reason
Midir just has a lot of health
Is her scythe worth the points into int/faith for a dex build?
Nameless King was easy as fuck
Not only that, be he can cancel attack animations and chain them into other combos. He's the most aggressive boss in the entire series. On top of having a large health pool as well.
Orphan's first phase is super easy because you can just parry his moves from afar.
His second phase is very difficult though. The camera issues there are 10x worse than anything in Sekiro.
I don't think many enemies in Bloodborne move much faster than him though, some are just incredibly erratic.
Nobody 1 or 2shot O&S on their first play through. Its the fight that teaches you how to play Dark Souls.
Ultimate Zinaida is the hardest FROM boss by far.
Bloodborne is a lot faster than what you are making it out to be. Even a heavy weapon like Kirkhammer is insanely fast in this game when utilized properly. As for how you beat bosses well the game is pretty generous when it comes to things like parrying or backstabbing enemies so you can out massive chunks of health like that. If you choose not to parry the game is insanely fun tho.
It's not amazing, but it's a lot more fun than the other scythes. It'd work fine in pve or pvp, but the weapon art takes some practice to consistently hit with.
Which Souls game is that? I don't remember this boss.
Dunno but i love the fight and the soundtrack
Hardest out of all the ones I've played were...
Friede,
Orphan of Kos,
Demon in Pain & Demon from Below.
How exactly do you calculate weapon damage in these games? Attack speed and stamina cost is obviously a thing but you cant see the values so it's impossible to compare weapons without using them
It's not so much that he's fast, it's that his actions are so chaotic
Not to mention he has shitloads of poise and hyperarmor, hits like a truck, has whacky hitboxes and NEVER SHUTS THE FUCK UP
God help you if you're using Blades of Woe or some other pigsticker
1. .45 saint
2. Orphan
3. Friede
4. Accidently dropping into Ivory King without saving any of the knights
5. Four Kings but you can't keep up in the dps race
Not joking, but this seems way slower and less dynamic than I remember.
it's odd seeing the bosses react so much differently than they do in Sekiro, where they defend themselves much more.
>Zinaida
>Souls
user, I...
>Ivory King without saving any knights
Actual nightmare that perfectly fit the boss arena
Sekiro bosses will always be at the top of these lists because of no summons or cheesy builds. I have a friend who has beaten every souls game and he will probably give up on Sekiro.
Souls and BB bosses are only as hard if you put self-imposed handicaps on yourself. Noobs are going to summon, sorry.
>using fists
How much did he level STR to give his fist that much damage? Also, using charged attacks with weapons seem to always miss, iirc.
I still think it's Midir.
1. Midir
2. Laurence
3. Kalameet
4. Gael
5. Orphan
6. Nameless King
7. Sword Saint Isshin
8. Friede
9. Manus
10. Owl Great Shinobi
She staggers pretty easily though
He is probably just playing the game wrong. I beat Sekiro charmless/bell, and am struggling immensely with souls games.
That camera during the second phase is atrocious
>Lilac Umbrella + Projected Force say hello.
>the Headless are so tedious and difficult you need to use a specialized item specifically for fighting them and it still takes a long time and you might die anyways lol
Prove my point
Owl is easy though
Hahahahahahahahaha
Literally just fucking roll
HAHAHAHAHAHA
ONE BUTTON
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
LITERALLY JUST BECOME INVINCIBLE DURING THEIR ATTACK, AVOID IT, AND ATTACK BACK
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>hardest SL1
>not Demon Prince
FUCK MY ASS
Anybody that had trouble with dancer should be lobotomized, again.
see, the reductionism in your post doesn't help your point
>look up the strategy for every boss after entering the fog gate instead of wasting my time dying to learn patterns
>do every boss in single digit tries
Is this cheating? I'm doing the same mechanical inputs as everyone else I'm just not dying a million times to learn it.
Not really, either way you're learning the attacks and adapting to them, the only difference is you're doing it through reading instead of in-game trial & error. It's the same thing if you watch a streamer fight a boss, it's not the same as doing it yourself but it will decrease the learning curve since most of the game is observing their patterns.
I don't that she's hard boss by her abilities, the amount of phases is making this battle hard. It takes too much time to reach her 3rd phase and by that time you probably already consumed half of your estus flask or more.
It does take away some of the joy of discovery from the game but that's your choice.
Visceral attacks are dependant on skill level, not weapon damage.
>old Isshin
>Owl
>hard
what the fuck am I reading
If you derive pleasure from being able tp overcome obstacles of your own merit, I think it's dumb to look it up, but of you don't, whatever I guess.
That entire boss fight is video game nirvana. The way she walks in the room with that scythe in front of her, brushes her hand down the blade, the father staring at the bowl, insane and raving. Fuck me, it is so good. Also, getting summoned for this fight is some of the most fun you can have in DS3. This, and getting summoned in the Ringed City and fighting off invaders.
Manus is the hardest boss in the franchise still.
0-4 I go back and finish the DaS 3 DLC
5-9 go back and finish the Bloodborne DLC and queen dungeon bitch
because I never did either.
You'd want to say Iron golem since he's a big metal guy but he's probably hollow so not much structural integrity really. IMO, if titanite is linked to demons because of the titanite demons (I could be wrong, please correct me), then I recon DS3 Stray demon is the best bet - It's the same titanite/BoC matter just cooled down so he's much harder, despite also being brittle.
I wouldn't count immunity mechanics like demon of song's body either since thats not really "hard", just magic.
Hard to do when ge moves around like a spastic crackhead
Dark Souls 2 takes the cake in terms of raw difficulty, purely because of how bullshit this game was, just like says. You haven't experienced the full brunt of FROMs meandering bullshit if you haven't done a UGS only playthrough of DaS2.
Bonus points if it's vanilla DaS2. I still get fucking nightmares sometimes remembering Smelter Demon.
I did powerstance UGS for my first playthrough. I didn't find much to be bullshit other than fume knight and veldstat, because they'd punish me for attacking once during their openings. I feel like that game would've been a complete joke with a 1handed weapon.
I had a harder time on Gael than any other boss granted thats because I suck ass at dodging
You're wrong, of course.
It's clear to anyone with an acute understanding of the history of Japanese weaponry that the armored warrior MUST be composed of the hardest materials due to his immunity of Wolf's attacks.
Using their superior, ancient and honed techniques, Japanese Katana's can cut through anything, having been folded over 10000 times to create a blade no pathetic western steel could ever withstand.
In terms of raw attempts the first time I fought them:
SS Isshin
Owl 2
Orphan
Friede
Ludwig
>t. ignorant slave
Orphan's difficulty comes from how punishing he is. If you let off for even a second you're going to get nailed by some combo. On the other hand if you're aggressive, the game is generous with iframes and staggers.
Basically the exact opposite of Sekiro, and I blame my BB muscle memory for making the final bosses (which really punish you for playing it like BB) so hard.
>I feel like that game would've been a complete joke with a 1handed weapon.
Well, yeah. DEX build runs are for pussies almost as big as those that use magic. You can attack like eight times in a single combo and dodge easier.
Why do Souls games make you run a minute to the fog gate instead of putting a bonfire right before like Sekiro? Sprinting past mobs isn't skill it's just tedious bullshit especially when you're dying a lot, and consoleplebs even have 30+ second load times which must make the game borderline unplayable.
hardest boss is fat man and little boy
Isshin isn't that hard, Genichiro took me more tries because I kept fucking up the dodges when he used that gay-ass bow of his, I also didn't know what the fuck to do with the lightning (didn't know you had to let it hit you while you were in the air).
absolute bullshit garbage fucking nonsense
>run to shadows of yharnam long at all
nigga you must have missed an elevator, you aren't supposed to run through the whole forest
In Dark Souls 2 they made it so that going through a fog gate didn't give you invincibility frames and you could've gotten hit out of it. Then they'd put bonfires into rooms specifically designed to fuck with you and kill your ass if you tried to just run to the boss, like the hall before Veldstadt. But only sometimes.
Go fuck yourself if you think running for a bit is bad.
loranigger beast
I absolutely abhorred his fight the first time I tried completing the chalices
Orphan of Kos was definetly the hardest for me. His moves are just way too erratic.
I always love seeing how varied the answers are to the hardest FROM boss threads
I haven't gotten to Sekiro yet but the hardest for me was either first time Orphan (on NG+++, it took 6 hours) or Midir, which I didn't pay attention to time with but just felt incredibly frustrated with
It took me two tries. Royal Rat Authority took me a whole weekend though.
No, but she is my Dark Souls waifu because she can actually fight.
But the best way to beat Glock Saint and Owl (Padre Blanco) is non-stop aggression and not letting up for a second.
4 Kangz past NG is an absolute nightmare, I can't believe it was allowed. I've only gotten to NG+3 one time solely because of them, and even that was only because I got really passive RNG.
Nah, Martyr is.
>that one dart blowing faggot hitting you while you climbed the ladder every single time
Flexile sentry pre-patch ng+7
no god
Why do Souls games make you pick a weapon instead of putting a katana in your hand like Sekiro? Perfecting a moveset isn't skill it's just tedious bullshit especially when you're dying a lot, and consoleplebs even have 30+ second delay getting drake sword which must make the game borderline unplayable.
>Dragon Shrine pre-patch
Does Ancient Dragon count. I never beat it.
Sword Saint Isshin isn't even in the top 10, he's not event he hardest boss in his own game, let alone all From games. If you had trouble with Isshin you are probably a scrub who didn't learn how to properly play the game until that point. I mean fucking for real if you can beat the blue samurai, corrupted monk, and Genichiro, I don't see how you can't take Sword Saint in a couple of tries, he's literally just roided up versions of them.
I still think the Orphan is the hardest son of bitch in the franchise.
I beat her on my third try while using a bow
>White Glint
>hard
Lmao just use twin gatling guns dude lol not even hard, next you'll say the arms fortresses are hard
This. AC: Last Raven's the hardest game in the entire franchise, with the hardest boss in the franchise.
she's so fucking easy, the only hard phase she has is her third
what the fuck
Isshin wasn't too hard, you could literally just beat the shit out of him so hard that he doesn't even pull out his spear, then just let him after you get him to his third phase because
>lightning
I really loved sekiro but it didn't push it's combat as much as I wanted and I wish I could talk about it
>filter
>hard
Fuck off tourist
I tried that forever and just couldn't manage my posture. Even perfect parrying fills it up so fast (Owl especially) that a single missed one will get you staggered and killed. That plus the fact that the "never stop attacking bro it'll be over in 30 seconds" thing is greatly exaggerated- I ended up playing somewhere in the middle aggression wise.
Then some people will run in circles for half an hour whittling them down, and other will /acquire skill/ and perfect parry them to a quick victory. It just depends on your strengths with the game's mechanics.
Not at all, you can read her every move paying attention.
I always find these games hard. Maybe it's my inherited shit reflexes.
>when those Souls habits immediately kick in
First instinct was to run to his legs.
Took 30 tries but I did it.
I'd argue Alonne was worse than 2cat because you actually had to fight every night crammed in that hallway before every attempt, and could still very well die if they ganked you. Either that or just waste your time trying to get lucky and make it to the boss fog, which worked maybe 10% of the time.
Absolutely not, she's very easy to stunlock to death
Just keep calm and stop thinking
No fuck you faggot I want a new AC game.
Post a video of you fighting her without getting hit once then nigger
You wont because you cant, now fuck off
Soulsborne doesn't require good reflexes like actual hard games do, Miyazaki deliberately loads these games full of crutches and exploits so that you can beat it as long as you don't give up
you'll find out they're all easy when you realize From figured out that you can trick everyone by holding the startup of an attack for about a quarter of a second longer than they'd expect to get everyone to dodge earlier than they're supposed to
even basic enemies do it, even in sekiro many of the basic enemies and bosses will also try to "feint" to get you to mistime your deflect/dodge
Phase 1 Isshin is nothing, the challenge is when he whips out the spear and gets hyperarmor at arbitrary times. That plus the wombo combos and fucky lightning attacks make him hard because you can die at any time, not just when you've run out of heals.
This fucking guy. He's the only Soulsborne boss I haven't killed, I tried countless times but this guy just deals too much damage and shit. Killed Koss and every other boss that is considered extremely hard but this is the one boss that made me give up.
No. But the cutest. I want her to be my mummy so that I can massage her feet and then she'd whip my with the flail.
>fucky lightning attacks make him hard
That's the funniest thing I've heard all day
Midir is one of the easiest bosses in ds3 if you simply stay in front of his head. I used to co-op Midir a lot, trying to help shitters beat him for the most part. He's very similar to the Gaping Dragon in that you want to attack then head and you really would rather not summon for him because it inflates his health pool even further. Really fun to watch shitters die to both of them, too.
>thinks dodging is hard
Try playing fighting games
You shouldn't be allowed to post at all
>lightning
hey user, USE THE FUCKING JUMP BUTTON
The lightning attacks are what trivialize the fight. His last phase is a fucking joke because he can spend half the fight stunned.
Any boss that uses lightning attacks might as well be giving you free hits considering how useless they are. I never even noticed the hyper armor though because I wasn't spamming R1 all the time like an idiot. I was spamming L1 like a genius.
Zinaida's a dirty fucking cheater.
I know it sounds dumb but it's been a consistent problem for me- it just doesn't deflect half the time, no matter when in the air it hits me. There have been times at the Ancient Dragon when I've gotten to the final part where you get flung up in the air, and I've been mashing R1 for a solid 10 seconds as I fall down, only for nothing to happen. My roommate's had the same problem and it's a common complaint on /vg/
Armored warrior is a mini-boss, though
Abhorrent Camera beast
Challenge dungeon shit in general can be retarded
I always thought this fellow was easy. Later on with a different build I realized that unlike most from bosses the experience with this boss greatly differs depending on your stats and gear.
That's gotta be Sekiro DLC bosses, since base game Sekiro already tops the chart for hardest bosses
Fought him for the first time yesterday, honestly not that bad.
Fuck that asshole and his one insta-attack with no starting frames. He was standing between me and my prisoner's chain
The sound of you SEETHING as you die yet again to the clearly telegraphed swipe attack is music to my ears. I can practically FEEL the thudding of your feet as you pace back and forth infront of your desk and the familiar sound of your sword and board strength build character reviving at the bonfire echos out from your now broken headset lying on the other side of the room.
I do, it was by far the boss that gave me most trouble in all of their games, followed by Ludwig on NG+ as my first attempt
Why are Souls fans so dumb
Sullivan.
beat rrbody else.
still workin on Sekiro.
Bosses harder than Friede
>Fume Knight
>Ludwig
>Orphan
>Nameless King
>Gael
>Gaurdian Ape
She’s up there, but there are tougher fights
Not everyone is good at every type of game. I can't play bullet dodger games even though I like them, so I just watch a vid if I'm interested then go play something I'm better at.
>Fume Knight
I'll never understand why this boss is so overrated
>*shows up in your defiled dungeon*
Mostly because his moves are complete bullshit
Probably just his weird hitboxes. He just takes some practice. You can get back to him right away and he doesn't even take very long to kill.
The only boss I ever had to summon help for
literally Maria, easy edition.
same moveset even.
wrong on so many levels, jesuss
He's literally just big flashy sword man
Ah Kos...
Or some say Kosm...
White Glint wasn't hard
I'm a legitimately terrible Dark Souls player so I can say with full confidence that your average Yea Forumsirgin is incredibly bad at these games, and stupid too
If you normalized things like damage and health, this is the hardest boss. Buildfags who streamrolled her with endgame gear don't want to admit it, but it's true. She has objectively the most complex moveset out of any DS3 boss and possibly in the franchise.
I broke down and looked up tips for this fight. There's a way to cheese it, but even that is still fucking nearly impossible. But, I got my Platinum trophy, and I don't have very many of those.
Dude I’ve beaten every boss in Soulsborne and every boss except Owl and Shura endings in Sekiro. It’s my opinion
I haven’t fought him in probably 4 years. I just remember him literally taking hour after hour to kill. Maybe he’d be easier now, but I really struggled with him
>hug her ass
>circle her
>roll out of the way occasionally when she does her darkness blast
>run around the room when she does her two blade twirl thing
>hard
This is pathetic, user. I bet you summon for Vordt.
I bet you used a shield. I don’t think she’s the hardest boss in the series, but she’s one of the harder fights. Her moves are poorly telegraphed and varied meaning you have to spend a lot of time learning her attacks
The fun thing about Orphan is that, unlike much larger enemies, you can easily survive a hit by him. But you can't survive two hits in a row. He's extremely aggressive and requires you to really pay attention to his moveset. He's the only boss in which you're likely to run out of vials, because he punishes little mistakes and lapses in attention instead of certain strategies.
Kos was a fun fight. But I think I beat him on my 3rd try. It was still difficult and I came out with no vials and a quarter of my health left, but it wasn’t all it was cracked out to be imo.
ive always felt they werent really comparable, AC1 hustler one just fucking rapes you down narrow corridors without there being any hope at all, a lot of the bosses in AC are hard but it isn't really due to them mechanically, it's due to the ridiculous arena they give you
>tfw got lucky and he bugged out on me
I’ve been meaning to go back and fight him for real but I’ve just never gotten around to it
Why did FROM reuse boss arenas? For a game with no variety for your character, weapons, armor/clothing, you would think that they wouldn’t reuse the same boss arena.
>inb4 it’s dark now though lol
>unlike much larger enemies
Almost nobody in the entire series can ever oneshot you unless you're some vit gouging dumbfuck
But yeah Orphan can easily trample hunters limping off to heal and it's not even deliberate coded behavior, just the nature of his whacky movement patterns
>hug her ass
I wish.
Honestly I found Champions Gundyr to be way more aggressive than kos. And his fight area being smaller. You think he’s done with his combo but then he side kicks you. Soon as you try to heal he’s rushing you. Just me I guess.
The second half of Sekiro is all recycled shit. I’m guessing they were just rushed
Parrying his attacks is super satisfying though
*blocks your path*
Try to give it a fair shot next time. He's incredibly fun with to fight against.
The problem with dark soul 2 is that they put way too much bullshit in your way for you to clear all on your way to the boss, even with short cut open.
Remember ancient dragon?
A fucking mace armored giant right out of bonfire (basically strongest normal enemy in the game), another mace plus a sword armored giant, then the giant stairway with 3-4 small armored dude ganking your ass. All of the have poise and take a lot of hit to kill, just to reach the most tedious hp sponge boss in soul history.
The pursuer is way harder than this faggot.
At first i thought so but practically the biggest obstacle is the phases division, it kinda requires that bit of trial and error to learn all their movesets until you familiarise with all three
So far (I'm playing for the first time) the biggest pains have been Nameless King and the two princes, which i haven't defeated yet. I think I've managed to get down to half of the King's health only once, he just kill me too easily. The princes in comparison aren't as hard to fight, but the fact that Lothric keeps resurrecting his brother keeps the fight going for too long and i can't keep up with the Estus
I had some trouble with the twin demons too until i realized i was unknowingly using an ineffective weapon against them and that there were summons i could use
lol
>parrying
I got him down to 10% health a few times before that.
I honestly thought of committing sudoku a couple times when killing him to do it fairly, but I decided not to for whatever reason
Twin prince is a basically a check whether you can read the attack in teleport. Right before teleport, you can see the telegraph of a specific attack before they disappear and they will always do a move correspond with the telegraph right out of teleport. It’s a pretty unique concept and I struggled with them until I figure that there’s a pattern instead of thinking that they are doing random move out of teleport, which is very hard to react
Parrying is LITERALLY a get out of jail free card. Don't use it, if you're not a scrub.
Yeah, i certainly should pay more attention to that. My mistake is that their attacks generally don't hit that hard so i tend to rely on the shield and tank them when I'm not confident enough to roll out of the way, but again the fight's potential lenght requires a more conservative approach
You're not wrong but she's literally the biggest cheater in the fucking franchise.
Cutting out H+ for you but letting enemies have it was the biggest kick in the dick.
You are fucking joking right?
He has no point. It was a blatant shit post and you fell for the bait like a retard.
Friede was a fun fight. If you played the Bloodborne DLC half of her attacks were already in your muscle memory.
I like Maria more, but Friede was fun. Only thing I hated was Ariandel. I wish it was just a one on one.
In terms of subjective difficulty? Bell gargoyles.
You're still new to dark souls games. You don't really know what you're doing, half the battle is battling the camera while not falling off the rooftop. Whiffing wildly with your you unupgraded halberd. Two of the cunts, how do you block fire? You used half your estus killing the million hollows on the way up
Yeah yeah they're simple the next time you play the game. But struggling against this boss on mouse and keyboard as a totally new scrub player, going in blind, was the quintessential Souls experience for me
I thought he was difficult and many others did too. I don't know what to tell you user. One fight I thought was a pushover was Nameless King, but I don't go around saying, "DUDE NAMELESS KING IS SO EZ I BEAT HIM FIRST TRY LMAO"
Nah man, he was fair as fuck.
Midir or that spear of church when all you summon are cheating faggots are worse.
How the fuck does Bloodborne manage to be kino from every angle
Don't be a faggot, big weapons are easy mode.
I got that nigga with a bandit knife.
In fact, I did the whole game with bandit knife and thief starting gear
killing gael on first try in my bandit knife playthrough was one of my favourite bossfights in From games
This
Holy shit yes. Using a dagger for it actually feels a little similar to a sekiro fight.

I haven't played BB or DS3 dlc so my list is shit. Also I sucked at DS3.
>that fat muff.
Based miyazaki.
From Software artistry + Sony money + Sony Japan Studio
I'm just expressing my confusion at how people had trouble at such a basic boss
Nameless King is also overrated
Says the shield shitter.
If parrying was so easy peasy, why'd they basically just make an entire game based around doing it? And why are shitter still screeching about how hard that is?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I've been playing through DS3 lately and I've been having more trouble with the Soul Of Cinder fight than with any other boss I've fought in the base game. Am I a just bad at the game?
Hell no. Killed Friede with a bloody bandit knife. You'd be surprised how the knife interrupts so many of her attacks. You can still only get a few hits in before most bosses will poise up and deliver a counter attack that can't be interrupted, but that's where bleed comes into play. The stamina cost isn't proportional to the damage output & potential. Try out bleed weapons (infused with bleed shards).
I went bleed weapon + greatshield. Very satisfying.
Every game has it's noob-wrecker and the one in your first From game will probably be among the hardest experiences you have. Gargs, Father G, Genichiro.
If you're looking at things from the perspective of someone familiar with these games, the hardest bosses include Orphan, Sword Saint, and Friede.
I'll give honorary mention to D. Watchdog, Midir, D. Amygdala, and Demon of Hatred. These bosses don't have complicated movesets but they're hard due to punishing damage and high HP
She's not actually hard, the problem is phase 2 is a camera boss and it just plain annoying to get back to phase 3. Orphan of Kosm is harder.
No? She is very easy, took me 3 tries. Sword Saint is hardest imo, took me 3 hours
YES YES WELL DONE ISSHIN WELL DONE KOS
HOWEVER
He and Nameless are the hardest base game bosses. I wouldn't be shocked if some players found SoC to be the hardest.
You could always get the DLC and come back to stomp him at higher level
One of the best fights in the series and a good challenge but it's significantly easier than the real contenders
Welcome to the Salty Spitoon, how tough are ya?
No please, I just wanted the Rakuyo.
>Cant beat last raven
user, your a shitter yourself. Take a hard look at the parts available in game and you can come up with a build that curb stomps the game.
>mfw causls have never played the hardest fromsoft game
DeS Offline, no magic. Harder than anything else in the franchise
It's really not, though.
Literally a SNES boss
GAEL VS ORPHAN WHEN
Are you one of those people who have an 80% chance of dying to a squidward?
People like you got me a lot of monk's wrappings without lifting a finger back in the day
t. PC retard that never played demons souls
Get 2x confetti and dash forward whenever the Headless vanishes. Maybe use some pacifying powder. That's it.
Strafe left, bunny hop in rhythm to her railgun, keep her in the bottom left portion of your lock on box and burst her down. How hard. They took out OP-I for very good reasons, and its because you dont need it.
HOW THE FUCK ARE HEADLESS REAL LIKE NIGGA JUST USE CONFETTI HAHAHA NIGGA JUST BLOW UR WHISTLE
Nothing personnel
I picked up the asian version of Demon's Souls when it released, so try again. Maneaters, Flamelurker, Allant and, if you want no magic or ranged of any kind, Leechmonger are the only real challenging bosses to any degree. Even with that they aren't as tough as later Souls bosses at all.
The Bloody Crow was harder, but BP Satsuki was an annoying fuck to fight for sure. BP Selen Vinland is even more annoying to me than him.
I'm afraid not.
>yeows in elder god
Abhorrent Beast and Bloodletting Beast (both versions). Bloodletting Headless is just pure bullshit thanks to the camera and the size of that fuckhead.
Yeah I'm sure you read the wiki very thoroughly before attempting your one play through on full white world tendency
Don't make me laugh you trashcan. I bet you cheesed burger king too
not him but Isshin is hard even if you are good at parrying just because, at least in his second and third phases, his attack timing can be very weird. He also has a pretty large arsenal of attacks so not only is it trial and error to see all of them but then the combinations he uses them in can be pretty confusing at first. I'm not saying he's From's hardest boss, but if you legit didn't have any trouble fighting him then you're in like the top 1% or are straight up lying.
I beat her on my 4th try and DaS3 was my first Souls game
Okay, retard. The wiki was still being formed when I was playing it, since you know, it just came out. Demon's Souls is not in any way a harder game than its successors, and in terms of challenge it has some of the weakest boss design in the franchise. Top notch atmosphere, world design and plenty else, but you're a fucking idiot if you think anything in Demon's Souls compares to Friede, lmao2cat, Orphan or really any of the defiled chalice bosses, etc. Even with your caveat of no magic it's true, magic only truly trivializes Flamelurker (which a magic weapon does anyways, as does Purple Flame Shield) and Leechmonger/Dirty Colossus, neither of which would ever make anyone's hardest bosses list.
is this a fucking joke??
Threads like these make me realize that Miyazaki games are actually fucking easy and the majority of gamers just fucking suck at gaming.
We've been suffering this bullshit since "Prepare To Die"
Fuck Bamco, fuck games journalism
If you haven't delved into FRC Chalice Dungeons, you simply cannot say you've beaten the hardest bosses that FROM has to offer. They are a league above even with endgame equipment.
For me? It's Loran Darkbeast.
>not him but Isshin is hard even if you are good at parrying just because, at least in his second and third phases, his attack timing can be very weird
Not at all, you're just really bad. If you can fight Genichiro, you can fight Isshin without any issues. Especially since he spams lightning in his third phase and trivializes the rest of the fight.
wtf is there to rush? game has nothing else to offer. What were they doing since 2016?
I eat defiled watchdogs for breakfast but Loran Darkbeast is just plain a badly made fight, nobody should feel proud to beat him merely relieved
I only ever did this guy on my pure caster back on ps3 and got him on the second attempt
I guarantee I would've struggled on a melee character though
I've only ever beat him once and any time I roll another root with him in it I just end the run.
The true red-pilled hardest boss in the souls series is Twin Pursuers.
Just parry
Doesn't even come close to how hard the two sharkmen are. Pursuers are complete parry bait, plus if you fuck up one of them can disappear.
>stuck on isshin's last two phases for hours
>realize you can just skip an entire phase if you just attack and dont give him time to pull put his spear
>beat him immediately
is this game literally broken
Nameless is fucking cake. He only had like 4 attack strings and once they start he can’t cancel them into something else.
Me good you bad
I just got good at dealing with his spear but uh...good job I guess
Yea, it's a stupid boss design that basically wall you unless you have specific build/gear but it's piss easy with specifi build/gear. It's not like pyro/faith/int build isn't already piss easy in DS2, they throw in this dude just for the heck of it. Then, you also requires to have an effigy and go through an annoying area just to have a try at him, making the experience worse.
Basically, if you are melee build, you basically tickle the boss. He is also the only one with ridiculous dark magic damage in the game so you have to hunt for all of your dark magic equip, particularly a 100% dark greatshield.
I didn't want to be ass to farm for fucking effigies just to retry him over and over so I just run around to gather the right pyromancer to kill him easily.
Havent beat her, midair, or Gael. Too much health
You must really like Demon of Hatred from Sekiro
Cope, shitter.
>4 hours to beat Isshin SS in my first time
>beat him first try in ng+ using no revives
So that's how Saitama feels huh...
I played it on the PSP, and that doesn't work. She flies around too much.

crosswield your weapons and use ss and autosighting to joust the nukes to wipeout 4/5, then rifle the last
Yeah, i think i smashed my head at least 2 days in a row against friede, mifir wasn't nearly as bad
Yep, I'm thinking it's this cocksucker
PSP version has different AI in addition to the fucked control scheme. She stays in the air far more but she still follows your height so you can use regen shoulder parts and get her stuck in the ceiling and blade her to death that way.
Or build a crab. Also works.
Use the wall that's in the direction of their fly in and get 4 out of the 5 stuck and just rifle or blade the one guy over at a time. If more then one comes over rotate across the other perimeter of the wall then repeat.
If using pure blades, you can down two of them before they even reach Arteria Carpals. Bonus points if you use AA and nuke their PA as they land.
I ended up getting her stuck in the ceiling, but that always seemed cheesy to me. But I think that she's probably impossible without cheesing to some degree.
Sinh is a complete and utter flying faggot, Friede was at least interesting to fight and not constantly flying around and degrading your weapons
The dancer is easier WITHOUT a shield. She was a harder on my caestus only run (where I fought her at ~sl50) because she spins and it's hard to punch her legs though. She also pulled a combo that left me at 2hp that I'd never seen hit before, but it still only took one try.
This boss fight looks CUHRAAAYZEE but it isn't that hard. It's quite rollspammable.
Maneaters and Flamelurker are hard because they are janky and RNG heavy. The only challenging AND well designed boss is False Allant. Some of the areas like Latria are challenging, but honestly the last 3 Miyazaki games have all been much harder overall. You only remember it being hard because it was your first.
The problem with gael is that he feels retardedly easy since you are coming from midir and friede, took two tried and only because my joystick ran out of battery during my first try, he looks cool and all but its lame as fuck at the end
Hardest by far, took me 2-3 hours a day for a month. BB with dlc wasn’t nearly as hard
>2-3 hours a day for a month
Slowest fucking Boss. Easy as shit
>Ctrl f Amygdala
>only 1 response
How have you all forgotten the horror of chalice dungeon amygdala
Haha that was a SL1 run though right user? Gotta love that sequence break!
>he doesn't know
>He thinks he's the bigger meat
Meh, literally roll back twice and not getting greedy
>2-3 hours a day
>for a fucking month
Surely you jest.
None of you faggots know who the hardest bosses are until you do low soul level/weapon runs.
For me in Ds3 Dancer, Sulyvahn and Friede were the hardest and Aldrich was the most fucked up because of RNG.
I bet plenty of people did. Monster Hunter games at the time were similar but much harder than Dark Souls 1.
That would be Flamelurker for anyone who played DeS.
he said headless not nameless dipshit
lmao fucking what?
it's hard until you realize the secret, which is you can roll right the fuck around her and stab her in the back.
You can hit him in the dick for full damage with Ludwig's L2.
I didn't even need a guide to figure this out, I was just trying everything since hitting his ankles does NOTHING and realized I could clip him while he was still standing up.
It was my first From game. Bought Das 3, Das remastered and BB together at GameStop this passed November. All of dark souls remastered was piss easy. haven’t had a chance to play BB dlc.
literally just roll in rhythm, am I the only person who thinks they did that intentionally because of the theme of that boss is that they're a dancer? can none of you keep a rhythm and roll in time with her spin? what the fuck is the problem, why do people struggle with this bitch?
The boss specifically has animations to bait out your roll and can kill in one or two hits. She also has attacks and combos the start up fast, so you're heavily punished if you attack even once between rolls.
I'm guessing you at least took some hits in that fight, so when you go in sl1 be aware all of the damage you took is instead instant death.
>The boss specifically has animations to bait out your roll
so does literally every "hard" From boss, Pontiff is an obvious example but almost every boss has at least one or two attacks that have a delayed telegraph
even normal enemies do, including sekiro, the sword enemies will feint you out as if they're flinching and the axe enemies have stupidly delayed attacks and loads of hyperarmor
it's very tiring desu, I wish sekiro pushed it's combat further
I wish I was a Youtuber so I could put my thoughts in a cohesive video because sekiro could have been 4 times as good
after beating the game once and replaying it I beat both guardian ape in one try. and 2apes but that's even easier lol
because if you don't skip phase 1, his roll punish moves sometimes activate at weird times in Scholar and he will two shot you with capped hp
also if you don't do the ashen idols then he is by far the hardest boss in the series.
2demon is the hardest boss in the entire Soulsborne franchise on anything NG+
I'm going to stop you right there and say Genchiro is one of the hardest because he forces you to learn the right way and kicks your ass otherwise
>But muh easy once you learn
No shit, same could be said for any other boss in any game
A lot of bosses are made to punish low DPS, shields, roll spamming, or magic. The best build always has, and always will be, stacking health and a big fuck you STR beat stick that staggers bosses in 3 to 4 hits. Nothing they ever designed counters this build.
never did any of the reused arenas come off an forced or nonsensical to me
I thought it was a really good way to reuse stuff, even though reusing stuff is normally bad, instead it felt nice that areas didn't become completely pointless after going through them once
>hitting friede and ariandel at the same time with a charged CLANG
Laurence on NG+ cycles. Surely I'm not the only one who hates that flaming cunt.
>brushes his sword very gently towards you after his big swing is over
>80% hp gone
aight
Nope. We share a mutual hatred, user. And especially on NG+ cycles.
hardest boss is unironically slave knight gael, friede is just tedious because of all the phases and having to juggle two enemies at once in the second phase
she is easy as fuck holy shit you are a retard, i can do that boss at sl1 in my sleep
I can easily slap her ass nonstop because I've been doing that every new play through. I always beat her ass before Vort.
fpbp
>Hardest FROM boss, can we agree?
Maybe hardest souls boss. You haven't seen shit
>Pic related
Path of destruction, Occupation of Arteria Carpals. "This is the end of the road for you. I think you understand why."
Nothing was more difficult than fighting the greatest NEXT pilots in a 2v5 situation. (1v5 considering your last surviving friend is useless)
Even 11 years later and every gank strat becoming a simple Google search away, this mission will still bring even the most fearless to their knees. I put countless attempts into defeating them and once I finally did it, I could say I surpassed humanity.
But isn’t ds3 hater’s biggest complain is that bosses are too fast like “bloodborne” so slow weapons have no chance against them?
Does it count as solo if I summoned Gael for Friede? She gets more hp so it counts as solo right.
nameless king is harder for me anyway
Git gud you summoning shitter
I mean bosses that are hard but fair should be listed and ignore bosses that are hard under specific condition.
Amygdala in cursed chalice is hard until you look up strat to figure out where to stand and which body part to hit and force him into an attack loop. He’s still hard then, but not as hard as many bosses with really diverse and strong moveset that you simply has to git gud to beat. It’s just like snek girl in ds2 would be hard if you don’t drain the poison or how darklurker ds2 would be hard with pure melee build and no dark magic shield but piss easy if you do specific thing
I don't understand why people complain about her. I killed her my first try.
You cheated not only the game, but yourself.
You didn't grow.
You didn't improve.
You took a shortcut and gained nothing.
You experienced a hollow victory.
Nothing was risked and nothing was gained.
It's sad that you don't know the difference.
user im sorry but, Solo means done by one person alone; unaccompanied. it does not count
I don't know I kind of feel I only beat him the first time for getting good RNG and him not firing his lazar during the second form
I stunlock-fucked Friede with 3 phantoms lmao
Kys zoomer larper faggot
>cheesing
Kys speedrunning faggot
While Friede is clearly the hardest, which boss did you PERSONALLY have the most trouble with?
I accidentally ran into the Ruin Sentinel right away and it's the only boss in the franchise where I had to give up and come back to beat them the next day.
Nothing was more satisfying than finally killing these fucks for that last S.
Go back
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCK THIS WHOLE AREA AND THE NEW BOSS MECHANICS
Thank goodness there's 1 AC player in here. Yes yes! It felt so amazing! The way that you are locked from doing another playthrough until you beat them was both a blessing and a curse. For hours my best friend and i would take turns, swap our ACs, and try all sorts of builds to hopefully defeat them. we could never do it, even after watching a gimp strat it was still impossible. Sadly, the day i finally did overcome this, was in a timeframe where my friend and I basically quit communicating.
great boss i dint care what anyone says
if you're using magic it makes the fight a joke
the first phase is awful for melee, just kiting around and looking for an opening
Smough and Ornstein
for me (never played BB dlc)
1. midir
2. isshin
3. freide
4. o&s
5. flamelurker
6. owl
7. fume knight
8. mytha without burning windmill
9. manus
Midir is a strong contenter but some chalice dungeon bosses are fucking cancer desu
based seethe poster
for me it's that spider in des
This. Took me fucking forever. I only learned about pestilent mercury cheese afterwards.
The spear of the church fight was a hundred times worse offline, really. I swear the NPC fucking reads your inputs and punishes them with unholy accuracy.
this is actual bullshit. almost all bosses from dark souls onwards were designed with the player's ability in mind, but from just did whatever they wanted with des.
Just tedious as fuck.
anyone else replaying all the boss fights in their head trying to think of the hardest one and failing
most of the bosses are just tedious not really hard and a lot of them have cheeses
I'm 100% convinced this guy isn't meant to be fought in any capacity and was just given an HP bar because you can kill any NPC so you may as well be able to kill the dragon too.
But you get a giant testicle or whatever thing from him to make Vendrick slightly less tedious.
You can get enough to make Vendrick less tedious by doing everything else in the world, and there's a limit to how nerfed he becomes as far as I know.
That dragon is far harder than vendrick with only 3 giant testicles too.
You can also fight him the first time you see him and he has no damage resistance ata all due to poor programing. Might not be in SotFS
hardest or worst designed?
HOW DO I FUCKING DEFELECT ISSHINS LIGHTNING!? I CAN'T DO IT CONSISTENTLY!?!?!
Are you a fucking retard?
My boy Isshin ofc
>souls trilogy
based retard
>hardest
>post ds3
lmao
Can't you super armor through pretty much anything for a trade? Perfectly safe unless you die.
Isn't that what this thread is, who you struggled with most?
That's the most retarded post I've read all day.
ITT retarded fake From fan children
except this guy
I actually did beat them first try. Though DS1 was the last of the Soulsborne games I played.
>Backstab her to death taking no damage phase
>Her shit dad dies in twenty seconds phase
Third phase is the only boss in that fight and it's average at best you shitters.
BB, DS3, and Sekiro are harder than DeS, DS1, and DS2. Go back to DeS or DS1 and it's literally effortless in comparison.
Those people are liars. Unless you went it with prior knowledge or a magic build there's no possible way you beat them the first time. I don't what it is about Dark Souls that makes people want to flex so much, it's okay to admit that a boss gave you trouble.
I find this guy to be easy
I find sekiro bosses to be hard as fuck for some reason. they are kinda gimmicky like demon's souls.
Yeah there's no way. Like you somehow know how to dodge all their second form attacks on sight? K bud.
I found this really easy but it took me like 8 tries because the fucker grabs you and one hut kills you fucking constantly. The only hit it lands is the god damned gran and I'm always nowhere fucking near it.
I beat him third try. it would've been my second if it wasn't for the sudden third phase. he's piss easy. I had more trouble with the mobs downstairs.
owl fits what you're talking about much more.
even being a veteran @ DS1, I still dont think I can beat giant Ornstein on my 1st try if I were to try him now (I always went with the giant fat man tho =} )
Er...no. She doesn't even crack top five. If she's top ten, she's #9 or #10.
Sword Saint, Owl, Genichiro, Ludwig, Orphan, Gael, Guardian Ape, Fume Knight, Ivory King, Lawrence are all definitely harder.
>Lawrence
>Ludwig
Get the fuck out of here. They're only hard if you don't know how to dodge.
Yeah dude just let me dodge all this lawrence lava juice soaking 90% of the area as he flails around staggering me from halfway across the room.
uh no shit, that's kind of the only thing in the dark souls games you gotta learn. if you can dodge, you have beaten the game. All of them. It's why most of the hardest From bosses are from Sekiro.
