It's objectively a bad battle system. There's basically no point to 90% of the attacks.

Basically this is just the same problem a lot of adult RPGs fall into - I even made it once with a game I was fucking around with in Twine. It seems so obvious and intuitive that sex combat should be stance or position-based, since then you can do things like "oh it's the missionary stance" and limit actions based on that. But that quickly becomes convoluted and redundant.

You have to abstract things. Look at what Lewdest Labyrinth does. There's like four stances and it works perfectly fine. You don't need to model 300 sexual positions, just make one sex stance of some kind and code on a per-encounter basis what that actually means. Night Games has like five sexual positions and sex fighting is literally the entire point of that game.

Just thought I'd expand on this a bit, there's nothing wrong with a sex scene that does nothing in gameplay. Some of the best porn games ever are based on static sex scenes that you get after beating an enemy or something, think Rance. There are fundamentally four kinds of sex in any sex game, and it must have at least one of them to qualify:

>sex as a reward
e.g. you beat the boss so you get to fuck it
>sex as a punishment
e.g. you lost to the boss so it gets to fuck you
>sex as a benefit
e.g. you can fuck the boss to get past it
>sex as a detriment
e.g. the boss can fuck you as an attack

Fundamentally that can be categorized as two categories (sex as a result, sex as a means). Regardless, sex as a result is incredibly common, while sex as a means is generally underdeveloped. There's nothing wrong with sex as a result. Rance, Monster Girl Quest, CoC, all sorts of games give you sex as a reward for overcoming or a punishment for failing.

So why do I dislike LT? Well, because it's sex as a reward, but I have to write the sex scene. It sucks. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't like getting puzzles or anything like that for Christmas, because it's not really a present - it's just a project that I have to put effort into putting together. If it were sex as a means, if my actions in the sex scene were actually accomplishing something, then it'd be different, but my reward for beating somebody shouldn't be "here now do my job for me". If my actions in the scene have no gameplay ramifications, I want to be handed the scene on a golden platter.

And that's why I dislike LT.

I like the way sex integrates into the combat. If you are a warrior you can use grappling to take them down and abuse them. Sucks that this doesn't really give you any advantage gameplay wise, since you won't get any experience finishing the fight this way. The whole combat system still seems very conceptual, I hope they'll eventually figure out how to balance it well.

If you want, but you start out pure and it's a bit of a challenge to maintain that course things might sneak up and fuck you. Haven't played it in a few months though, not sure what's changed.
