I'd say give Corrin a shot. She has some good reach with her attacks, with the edge of her lance arms/feet acting like Marth's tipper with increased damage and knockback. Bair is also a good kill move at higher percentages too.

I was playing Random v Random with someone and we got K.Rool vs Pac-Man, and I managed to get his crown once.
It was almost like I was back in Smash 4: Z-Drop madness, very fast Hydrant thrown with Z-Drop to Crown, quickly Z-Dropping Crown into aerials for combos, it was pretty insane. Character would actually be pretty dumb if you could actually Z-Drop fruits infinitely in this game.

And yes atlus CAN Rewrite or adapt the P5 plot to allow for a female Joker, just like they did with the overall plot for catherine fullbody.

But, the reason the leak its fake, its because they are making it based on jokers codename 'Jack' without not even knowing where it came from.

'Jack' stands for JACK FROST, the mascot of the SMT series, knowing Sakurai and his taste for classic games 'just look up Pacman, Ryu, Ken, Guiles AT AI among Many other examples' i can bet my balls Sakurai wanted originally to use Jack frost as the Atlus rep. Stay with it if you truly enjoy him. I play some high tiers like Wolf and Snake but I have the best results with K Rool because I'm simply having the most fun with him and get into better grooves that way

I'm kinda glad you cant Z drop anymore and they actually buffed his aerials. Now you don't always to rely on fruits and can actually go in with a properly spaced F-air.
Z-dropping the Bell into hydrant is still reliable though if you charge too far.

Why are Ness players so fucking based? About a week or two ago I ran into a fellow Ness player and we just started banging our heads on the ground, sneaking up to eachother, taking turns hitting and then healing eachother with down b. We literally just messed around for 7 minutes and then he eventually won because I got hit by a bomb in the Sudden Death.

Your zoning tools should go toe to toe with good use of Wii Fit's powerful upclose options. Stuff like Short Hop Header can easily condition the opponent into more unorthodox approaches like Full Hops, which you should capitalize off of & intercept with the likes of Nair into basically everything, and more. The area of control of Header really is that good. Otherwise, Upthrow to UpAir works and if they DI out, they may give you more space to reset neutral to a zoning state which is often at your advantage, there's also Downthrow to BackAir at Low%. UpTilt is a strong mixup with combos, and FTilt is your safest kill option not reliant on reading jumps.

I got Kirby, Bowser and Ganon in elite. I suck huge dick whenever I try to play anyone else, and I only got ganon to elite because he's broken. Any tips? Grab game really doesn't come easy to me, and I rarely spot dodge.

Actually I aerial a lot in neutral, and I think I've been basically skating around people in shield. Bowser has a lot of options to pressure shield without getting good at spacing and grabbing, and Kirby's dash attack and fsmash go sail past people, and his tilts are broken.

So spacing and dealing with defensive people with other characters is really hard because I've never really had to learn. It's not super intuitive to me, either.

~4m GSP here, I hate how the online doesn't let you stick with certain rules. It's better than Smash 4 where for fun was just people spamming Wario farting, but not by much.

If they had to make it so that there were two online GSPs for fun and for glory, I'd be somewhat okay with that. I just want to play with items while also having an actual fight. Right now the only way for me to do that seems to be to take someone into an item match against their will where they blow up fake smash balls like idiots. While amusing to see, it is too easy.

Toon link is free wins and most links mains rely almost exclusively on upB out of shield and dair for kills which are easily readable and punishable

Have your opinions on the viability of your mains changed now that you've played the game more? For example, i was intending to use Simon, Ridley, Dr. Mario, Greninja and DK. When i first played them in the game, i thought the following:

-Simon feels like the best character in the game. His zoning and ledgetraps are insane and he's annoying as fuck. (Top Tier)

-Kinda underwhelming, really. Skewer is kinda useless, only F-air and Cheese Puffs seem useful. Feels bad man. (Low Tier)

-Dr. Mario feels strong as fuck, holy crap. It's like every move has early kill potential. (High/Top Tier)

-Greninja lost his footstool shit and he no longer feels as flashy. Feels bad man. (Mid/Low Tier)

-DK feels fantastic overall, but what the fuck did they do to Up-B? (High Tier)

But after 5 months i feel differently about all of them:

-Simon's hitboxes are pretty shit and his zoning is boring to me. Ended up dropping him for Pac-Man. (Mid-Tier)

-Still have many of the same issues but i love the character too much to let go. Feels solidly mid-tier, but good tourney results compel me to continue labbing him. (Mid-Tier)

-Dr. Mario still feels strong, but is too hindered by his recovery. Weirdly enough ended up dropping him for Mario first because better combo potential, but now i play Snake instead. (Low/Mid Tier)

-I was right about Greninja losing some of his flashiness, but he made up for it in every other aspect, trading flashiness for effectiveness. Good mobility, lots of kill potential and confirms. Been having good results. (Top Tier)

-DK is still great, but Ganondorf's greater so i play him instead. This one's just for fun, though (Mid/High Tier)

At least you have insanely viable mains. Just get to practicing, really. Losing against high-level players will help you improve much more than beating low-level players, so even if you fuck up, you'll walk out a much better player. If they're as good as you say, the experience will be invaluable. You could even try asking for tips considering the fact that both of your mains are pretty common.

user, once you start having to chase your opponent you've already lost. You're at your most predictable when you're letting then control the flow of the match. Projectiles are extremely important in smash as they keep your opponent from waiting you out. Characters like Mario can throw a fireball and run behind it as a sort of buffer which will force them to react and then that gives you a chance to follow up with something. You want to limit what your opponent can do not vice versa.

I wish "Mii" was treated as an actual series in Smash. I'd say two stages (Tomodachi Life and Find Mii) and three fighter types is more than enough to warrant at least giving them a proper series icon instead of the Smash logo. I'm fine with their victory theme being based on Smash but their icon should at least be a flat version of pic related.

Kill throws, combo starters, juggle starts, counter to shield, punish otherwise unpunishable moves, sometimes beat out other moves (Falcon/Wizard kick), and so on. Especially with characters like DK and Ness, grabs are very important and strong.

The Detective Pikachu spirit is probably the most bizarre spirit fight if only because I didn’t expect them to use the fucking shop music in a fight

I just want to be easier to use. Smash 4's was such a pain in the ass if you wanted to make any platforms of decent size actually look good because you had to carefully draw the entire god damn outline in a single line. I don't even care if we go back to blocks, just let me slap shit down more easily and I'll be making a hundred stages like I did in Brawl again.

But also give us good aesthetics to pick from. 4's options also felt really weak and not as useful as Brawl's.

most are either temporary, situational, or overpowered (the one that makes you hard to launch but move slow+any char with movement specials (Ike for example)), so most people would use the few overpowered ones

As someone who loved playing with Random Equipment & Customs in Smash 4, the novelty of Spirits wears down quickly

What is wrong with Corrin?

It means that when I play against these characters, i'll most commonly kind of just play lame. These characters in particular I find become much stronger if you don't just, for example, zone them out hard. or platform camp for Little Mac.

Way too many people leave after close matches. I'm pretty sure it's due to them not wanting to lose GSP, but how can you not want to rematch? How can you possibly be good enough for elite smash if you can't be bothered to challenge yourself?

Just for the record I'm not hating on Samus specifically. It's just an issue I see with zoners in general, Although I guess the issue is more so with players who leave after they know they're about to be outmatched.

That Fun Matchups list i virtually identical to mine, holy shit. Maybe with the rare exception that i like fighting good Links and Shulks. Young Link is just a stupider, zoning oriented Link so he's a hard pass, though. The rest of the list is good too.

For close match, it really depend on the character. I hate fighting Ness, Ganon or Wolf for instance so I never rematch them.

I really hope 3.0 is a massive overhaul to Online because this is a fucking problem with the entire system. Honestly as far as online modes Smash 4 had it right with For fun and For glory. I kinda hope they go back to that.

To be fair most of my smash experience comes from FFA which encourages spammy characters more than 1v1. Samus in a 1v1 environment isn't too bad.

How do you fight a character you cant hit

pretty much actually. It would be the best of both worlds. I really like arenas but I don't like how there's absolutely NO Win/loss percentage. Ideally you'd be to use the coins or tags, whatever you get from winning in a separate betting system. This leads on this 3rd point of bringing back a shit ton of trophies so then you'd have a reason to want to win. Both the bet and fights. I guess I'm expecting too much, but hey it could be cool

Just take the time to rest & get away from the game if needs be

First and most important think. Delete your pride and your ego. It is the most basic thing holding beginners back. It's what makes you scared of losing and happy when you when while playing shittily. Learn to love losing as much as you do winning.

Look up a guide for absolute beginners on youtube.
Here are the basics for those characters.
>Cloud
Spam back air in neutral.
Hit them with limit side b or limit b when you're able.
Charge down b when they're being pussies.
>Inkling
Spam back air in neutral.
Up throw to up air combos sometimes.
After rolling over people press b, walk back to them and upsmash.
When you knock them off the stage recharge ink by pressing shield then b.
Spam aerials after you hit them to combo.

Now go play some games. Afterwards, look up dedicated character guides. Practice the stuff the guide tells you in training mode or against low level computers while you're watching it. Develop the tricks you learned into habits through repeatedly playing while doing it. Get upset when you do something wrong, even if you get a good result. Otherwise you'll develop bad habits.
Once you're okay with that, look up footage of people playing your character in tournaments. Copy some shit. What they don't do, you don't do, because it's probably bad.

Now that you're comfortable with the character, practice difficult shit like short hopping, fastfalling constantly and RARs (you'll know what they are if you get to this point) even if you lose games because of flubbing it. Eventually it will become second nature and muscle memory.
Being comfortable with the character and the game, now you learn how to counter your opponent. Focus on your opponent's character, while moving your character in your peripheral vision. Keep comparing your gameplay to pros; see what people do during certain situations and how they counter it.

The most important part: this practice is all worthless if you don't turn your brain off and enter the zone

Dash Dance around for pressure until you feel like they'll commit, and whiff punish them with smashes or tilts. If they don't commit, use reverse uptilts and well spaced downtilts. You can also use Jab 1 but it's actually kinda unsafe, like most of Little Mac's tools. Use Rolls wisely to get behind your opponent at the most fitting times, like when they're trying to zone you hard.

Play arenas and pick bridge of eldin with hazards off.

How do I properly use grabs?

Also use friendly text whenever possible and emote at the start of the match so people don't immediately leave, they will anyways but you might trick someone into playimg with you twice. Make the arena multiple people so you can queue up people during fighting to trick people into more games.

Learn to run and grab instead of standing there, and then grabbing. Grabbing can be your way out of getting hit by a strong attack, especially against heavies.

Pivot grab to punish obvious options like a poorly spaced dash attack, or generally just used as an option after faking out you retreating.
If you've played aggressively enough with aerials & whatnot, you may have conditioned your opponent into shielding more. Now is the ideal time to use a grab, by doing an empty hop, then a grab.
Shieldgrabs can be reliable options Out of Shield. Standing Grabs are faster than Dash Grabs by 3 frames on average, but Dash Grab can cover certain crossups.
