Gonna be playing this for the first time later.
DaS is my only souls experience, I couldn't care less for pvp.
What am I in for?
also will I or will I nit be able to RP as guts in this game? I hear STR is bad in it or something

A more linear and fast paced souls, but with arguably better bosses.
...and nerfed sorceries and miracles. Pyromancies are the best casting weapons in the game, however.
It's easier., It's certainly faster, but it's much more forgivable
Best bosses in the series, pretty much the only thing worth playing
slave knight gael is still kino
Is STR bad? My whole playthrough, I did nothing but Vigor, Endurance, and Strength.
STR makes the game easy. Hyper armor is OP
There's nothing wrong with STR. Just weakened sorceries, like said. And yes, you'll easily RP as gutsu, there's a weapon that's near identical as his.
Kippy?
>hyper Armour is OP
Thabks to retards that think like this I have a good win ratio with my faith/luck build.
Thabks for giving me time to cast miracles
More linear compared to DaS, but mechanically a lot better, with much better spell variety, better bosses, better fashion, less cheese, higher difficulty etc.
>also will I or will I nit be able to RP as guts in this game?
Sure, you just need to get to Farron Keep for the sword and you're gold.
You can rape the entire game with Vordt's ice stick alone, so no, there's no bad stats to invest on.
its DS for casuals
I barely lost any invasion as a faith paladin, miracles are OP if you know how to use them. Just don't go sorcerer
game being easy is not an issue for me.
I played DaS back when it was all the talk and found it easy as shit, apparently that's due to my build but I'm not a try hard, if a game offers me the option to play as a walking fortress with a big dicksword I'll pick exactly that everytime.
You should be warned that roughly the first third of the game is not that great. Although if you're looking for something a bit easier at the beginning, Dark Souls 3 has a difficulty curve far more appropriately attuned than the other games in the series... which is also partially due to it's far more linear nature.
Despite the straightforward world design, the level design is brilliant and usually quite complex, so that sense of discovery dark souls 1 famously had isn't quite lost. The bosses, especially in the last third of the game range from great to incredible, and that quality basically increases with the DLC, should you have it, so that's very worth doing as well.
Strength isn't a bad playstyle to choose necessarily. It's just that the weapons and gameplay naturally favour a more nimble build both due to the increased speed of the enemies and bosses, and their more complicated AI and movesets, along with their less generous cooldowns from attacks. But you can still approach pretty much everything as you did in the first dark souls game, it will just require that little bit more patience and skill.
a shit game that decided trying to be a clone of bloodborne instead of carrying on on the path it had set out for itself was the only way to sell itself
based and fun pilled
The combat is faster
alright sounds like I'm in for a good time, might get the DLC if I like it enough to finish the whole thing.
thanks user
You do you user.
you do you.
Miracles maybe, but sorceries are super powerful
>haven't played a game
>go on Yea Forums and ask people to tell me what to think of it beforehand, instead of just playing it and forming my own opinion
I'll never understand this board
I started the series with BB so I enjoyed that faster combat of DaS3. It's a great game and whenever I asked why people disliked it the reasoning was usually because of its story and references to DaS. So if you're new to the series or played DaS but didn't go crazy for the lord (or you're just not angry at a game that makes references to its predecessor) you'll very much enjoy it. I prefer BB but that's not because of DaS3's shortcomings, it's purely my preference. So if you do end up liking this you will like Blodoborne.
