Why is he such a cunt
Why is he such a cunt
Pritchard was a bro, you just can't handle the bantz OP
hes your only real friend in the game
He's absolutely in love with Jensen
He is a jew.
Pritchard
favorite trope desu, like lambert in tw3
he has access to your personal computer
but he can't do shit because you're an ex-cop
EX-SWAT
so he exercises his right to free speech by shitting on you every chance he gets
Post yfw
>and... Jensen?
>yes, Pritchard?
>be careful
This game is better than DX1
I’d rather have an asshole friend who has my back than a nice fairweather friend
It plays better but I wish it had the depth and quest count that DX1 has
EX-SWAT*
And you'd be surprised
>he wanted to fuck jensen's gf, he wanted to be a hero like jensen, he wanted to grow epic goatees, he was mad jelly
Well if it isn't Mahatma Gandhi...
There is nobody who has actually played both games and legitimately holds this opinion.
He craved Jensen's augmented dick.
It is not but it's a proper candidate for the actual DX2 title
You can tell that there were some people on the team who wanted to make a worthy successor but these days if your AAA game isn't done under budget and ahead of schedule, it gets rushed out anyways
Why are pricks who turn out to be bros the best kind of bro?
I replay human revolution now and again whereas I will never re-install dx1
Sup reddit btw
Did the first playthrough years ago nonlethal, should I go with guns this time?
Because that's the core of the whole concept of bromance
Ex cunt. And you'd be surprised.
Yeah obviously
I feel like this game (and DXMD) would've been way better if they weren't done under Squeenix umbrella.
Being fake is much more worthy of the prick title, whereas bants are forever
Bear in mind that endings change based on that, although who cares about some videos with narration.
Nah HR has molasses movement, too focused on one hit omniscient vent-centric stealth and has worse world-building
heh
...
I really tries to get into the first one and I dont mind jank my favourite RPG is Arx Fatalis, but HR is just such an upgrade mechanically
CDPR deus ex aka cyberpunk is out soon, lets see if it can scratch that itch of modern AAA non-jank future-shit
some aspects are better, DX1 just has far better level design and more depth to the world-building, way more.
HR augments were just more interesting though, sadly they weren't utilized properly, especially with the takedowns being animations.
also HR has better OST and atmosphere. DX1 OST would be great... for a multiplayer arena shooter, as it stands it's WAAAAY too loopy, and annoying if you like to take your time and explore the levels
Endings change based on which fucking button you press at the end of the game, all lethal vs non lethal changes is some flavor text near the start of the game for both Dude Sex 1 and HR
Aside from the third person, god I HATE the third person
Also quicktime takedowns put me off melee after the 1st playthrough
it will just be more generic open world like w3, they wont lie to me this time.
>fast forward to mankind divided dlc
>he is just a mean asshole who hates you and jenson hates him back
>no banter
>you will never return to Hengsha
I'm really hoping Cyberpunk is good honestly, but I don't think any company now has the manpower, time and money to make a game as big and as tailored to the player as the original Deus Ex in 2019
MD was a fucking disaster but this has to be the worst offender
>that part in HR where Jensen asks him to protect the old lady and not tell the boss
>he accepts and actually follows through
He seemed like a massive dick and thought at first he'd be the obvious traitor. But nah he's just that guy in IT tired of telling people to turn shit off then on again.
He's a bro.
CDPR has, especially due to cheaper work-force, but they care more about mass-market appeal than pleasing you problematic sexist old school gamers ;)
Though minimally, Jensens end monologue does change depending on your choices throughout the game
>l-levul desaign
If your levels look like ass in the current year, you can blow your level design out your ass
This fucking roleplay which in almost all cases is done by le born-in-wrong-generation reddit types such as yourself is so tiring
If HR and DX1 released at the same time back in the day, you better fuckin believe that nobody would remember DX1 even existed
I thought that was affected by whether you were a dick or not, just like the whole Mexicantown shit, and not the people you killed or not
what the fuck are you even trying to say, you mouth-breathing retard?
It's so obvious people who hate MD haven't actually played it.
youtu.be
Everytime I think about JC being 23 years old it just irks me. Nigga looks older than Jensen who is in his mid 30's
Cool buzzword reply, virgin
Have sex
Shoo
he's probably just built like that for the intimidation factor
w/e you say incel
MD was shite
isn't he actually more like 5?
MD's greatest sin is being HR2
He's a white male
he starts off as an annoying prick but slowly became my favorite character
Doubt you were even alive when DX1 was out, kiddo
Hes literally the only person in the game who doesn't lie or backstab you in some way besides Malik.
>23
What the fuck?
who stirred your pot, incel?
Whats wrong?
nah, he was implanted into an embryo, birthed and grown normally
So like Jensen?
Huh, must have remembered it wrong. Was there a fast-grown testtube baby in DeusEx I mixed JC up with or am I just completely confused?
jc looks like he's in his early 40s
I have been in love with MD since I played it but I can't say I wouldn't have been furious if I had purchased it for full price. For the sale price of 3 dollars it was pure kino with a beyond godlike soundtrack. Loved the dialogue and characters what little of it there was.
jensen was born normally and experimented on post-birth I think
you're probably confusing it for something else
>Decide to replay HR after years
>have a 4k monitor now
>Set it 4k
>turns the text and hud into ants
to be honest I thought my earlier post in this thread would get more than 1 (You)
these games were always meant to be replayed multiple times, people complaining about the length are idiots. there are much greater issues in the game anyway
t. bought it for full price when it came out
re-make of DX1
would they fuck it up? also what company should be given the project?
They fuck it up by nerfing swimming.
Arkane or Streum On Studio
arkane and it would probably get fucked up
MD was pretty good. I paid $5 for it and all DLC and ran through it like 3 times back to back. The DLC was pretty good in its own right
>Streum On Studio
lmao fuck arkane give it to them NOW
>deus ex 1 with E.Y.E graphics and gameplay
GIVE GIVE GIVE GIVE
At the very least:
>introduce third person and flashy takedowns
>"streamline augs" so there's no choices to be made
>replace OST with ambient music
>remove half the dialogue options
But the new games have more dialogue options than the original, and MD does make you choose between augs?
We must redistribute the (you)'s of 4channel to the anons who use them
Don't HR and MD have that "choose when not what" approach to augs
What's much worse augs in HR are better overall then the supposedly superior nanoaugs in DX.
Nothing to be done about tha. Either you make shitty unfun augs in order to be consistent with the fact that nanos are superior or you make the game fun. What really irks me is how they made all the cyborg parts in hr so goddamn sexy, like holy shit. A big part of dx1 was how all the auged up agents look like frankenstein abominations while jc looks like a normal person.
the last third of the original game is GARBAGE and a complete slog with nothing interesting to do or look other than toggling your augments constantly and killing things nonstop
everything after gunther is completely phoned in and borderline filler, overall HR is a much more balanced and high quality package, especially after the DC release
I disagree. They could, for example, make at the very least the extremity augs replace-able, not dissimilar to how you choose what weapons and items you take on a mission. That would both allow mechanicals to stay "inferior" to nanos and not bore the players. Next allow some more bang for your buck, instead of just breaking predetermined walls and awkward vertical gliding with Carrington-scale lightshow.
He felt inferior around alpha Jensen.
>the last third of the game is a slog
Funny, I felt that way about HR. Granted, I played the original game. What does the director’s cut improve on?
>last time we may talk I just want to sa-
>he fucking turns off the videochat
what a dick\
the DC removes the piss filter, redoes all the boss fights, puts the missing link DLC into the main game chronologically, and a larger selection of weapons
>puts the missing link DLC into the main game chronologically
And very poorly. IIRC you even lose some of your pre-DLC inventory for whatever dumb reason.
What's worse they also changed the ending with regards to a certain character. I recommend you play the original, then play DC sometime later and there's good change you won't want to touch DC ever again as well. I'm even fine with shitty boss fights as the price for no bullshit of that kind.
>also HR has better OST and atmosphere.
In what universe? Did you even play both games?
Deus Ex 1 music
>music drawing from a wide variety of genres, with strong melodies and catchy hooks
>every area in the game has FOUR unique pieces of music: one for exploration, one for combat, one for dialogue, and even a unique game over theme
>music changes if you revisit areas after plot-critical events (such as the escape from Unatco)
>hours upon hours of music
Human Revolution music
>generic ambient noise
>almost no unique music, tracks are reused constantly
>barely one hour of music in total
>It plays better
>incredibly slow movement speed
>clunky iron sights aiming
>regenerating health and regenerating bio-energy
>sticky cover system
>tedious 3rd person transitions for every little interaction
>no melee combat system
>no swimming
>simplistic pac-man stealth where you hide behind boxes and you don't even have to take any risks because a magical radar shows you were all the enemies are
>you can't even carry bodies like a normal person, you can only slowly drag them like some limp-wristed hipster
>augmentations and takedowns play a cutscene which is about as conducive to the flow of gameplay as having a cat jump on the keyboard
HR is much more dated, and much more of a product of its time than Deus Ex. It simply isn't very fun to play.
And I haven't even talked about augmentations, items and weapon variety. In the original DX every type of grenade had a secondary use as a proximity mine. This is missing in HR. Deus Ex had exotic weapons like throwing knives and pepper spray, again, missing in HR. Deus Ex had lots of melee weapons, again, missing in HR. HR doesn't even have a flame thrower. Its weapon arsenal is incredibly anemic.
Deus Ex had some very unique augmentations like Agressive Defense, which essentially made rockets fired on your enemy rebound on them. Or the spy Drone, which could be used both for scouting as well as to generate an EMP explosion. HR's augmentations by contrast are incredibly boring consisting either of banal stat boosts or incredibly stupid takedowns. Why the fuck does there need to be a cutscene everytime I use Typhoon or Landing System, completely interrupting the flow of gameplay?
post yfw
too bad you don't have any friends
If you'd played MD you would know having too many augs causes problems, and the player avoids the problems by permanemtky deactivating augs.
The only work around is completing a certain side mission.
>In the original DX every type of grenade had a secondary use as a proximity mine. This is missing in HR.
HR has mine templates. I don't remember whether it was on release but with store-exclusive DLCs/preorders/whatever other cancer or in DC, but it's there. And it would be lame if a prequel sporting much less technologically advanced equipment had something completely equivalent to relatively futuristic dual-purpose grenades. The solution with "mine templates" was good, but putting them behind exclusive somethings was obviously scummy and retarded.
It's from MD or fan work? Did they kill her off in MD?
That's from MD. That's her only appearance in the game.
It lets you know she survived HR.
> And it would be lame if a prequel sporting much less technologically advanced equipment had something completely equivalent to relatively futuristic dual-purpose grenades.
That argument doesn't make any sense considering mines aside, HR has much more futuristic weaponry and augmentations in general.
Also:
>amount of augmented people in Deus Ex: a handful or so, all of which are military personnel or criminals
>amount of augmented people in Human Revolution: billions, even bums on the street have augmentations
>You can tell that there were some people on the team who wanted to make a worthy successor
The Eidos team hated the original Deus Ex, dude. They gave an entire presentation about it.
That's what you think.
If they took the mechanical improvements of Mankind Divided - especially the weapons and put them in Human Revolution it'd be ideal for me. The original Deus Ex was a miserable fucking slog to play though, I enjoyed playing through Human Revolution - particularly Missing Link.
>>amount of augmented people in Human Revolution: billions, even bums on the street have augmentations
The most brainlet post I've seen on here.
>If you'd played MD you would know having too many augs causes problems, and the player avoids the problems by permanemtky deactivating augs.
>imagine being this retarded
There is no real consequence for having too many augs. Its just cosmetic.
youtube.com
In the first Deus Ex, the game forced you to choose between MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE augs for each body slot. There is no such system in HR/MD, you can max all out the augs you need at no cost or risk.
Pritchard was a tsundere.
>it's just cosmetic
>posts link to a video that shows it isn't just cosmetic
MD haters really need to crawl back to their petri dish.
Mine templates were exclusive to the sequel, mankind divided
>>posts link to a video that shows it isn't just cosmetic
What, a 2 second screen glitch? That only happens frequently at 450% overclock. meaning you can safely take virtually every aug in the game (which you won't even need to, since a majority of augs are useless).
The 'consequence' for overclocking is so pointless and weak that it might as well not exist. Like all the mechanics in HR/MD, it's shallow and underdeveloped.
No they aren't
>The Mark 87 Tactical Munition Mine Template (TMMT), is an item in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The TMMT may be combined with any grenade type to create deployable mines that can be attached to any surface.
deusex.fandom.com
>hasn't even watched past the first minute of the video he posts
Embarassing.
Why not take another look?
he's a nerd
Augmented cock* and you'd be surprised
>Condescending IT guy with long hair
I know IT people get the short end of the stick at many companies but some of them are absolute fucking cunts who don't know basic human interaction
>Take care of yourself
Fuck, every time.
>people complaining about the length are idiots
Yes.
>these games were always meant to be replayed multiple times
But not just because of this, it's literally not even short.
So how are they going to do DX: Jensen 3 now that their art director is gone? Are they even going to? I feel like SE is just going to shitcan it and then remember they own the IP like 7 years later and just let someone else make another reboot. Well, maybe that's a little too pessimistic.
>now that their art director is gone?
When did this happen, and why?
pcgamer.com
Jonathan-Jacques Belletête brought a very distinct visual style to Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided as the art director at developer Eidos Montreal. He won't be around for the final game in the trilogy however, because he is now working as creative director on a brand new project at Mordheim: City of the Damned studio Rogue Factor.
>why
Maybe because they already shitcanned it. Maybe other reasons.
Wow, that really sucks
What the fuck, it's not my image
MOOOOT
