At high levels you should rarely be casting Jolt. Using it to start off a fight is fine, or if you lose Impactful and don't have Verfire or Verstone ready. Otherwise to main goal of RDM dps is really to use Jolt as little as humanly possible while never casting Verthunder or Veraero outside of Dualcasts.

You start with jolt and then the instant ver-spell has a 50% proc of triggering verfire or feraero...you shouldn't be using jolt THAT MUCH and even if you are that unlucky for never getting procs you should get more damage from Impact.

My gosh to get that DPS recount he had to spam jolt like crazy.

Yes, it is lazy to squash Roe geometry and just make animal heads. I'm glad you get it. I don't expect much from this game, but this seems like a pretty easy fix compared to Viera and even Au Ra.

Every slow spell has a 50% chance to give you a better fast spell than jolt, unless you use acceleration which makes it 100%. Unless you're unlucky as fuck you only jolt every once in a while.
Additionally, every jolt gives you a guaranteed impact (also a better fast spell but not as better as fire and earth), so you should have almost as many impacts as you do jolts.
Additionally again, every fast spell lets you cast a slow spell so you should have more slow spells than you do fast spells thanks to swiftcast.
Basically, he is literally just ignoring flashing lit up buttons. I'm surprised he's even casting the slow spells.
ADDITIONALLY, I've parsed trying to be a jolt mage on a dummy before and I'm pretty sure I got better than that.

The reason you only get 3 egis is because you have to fabricate them using your own aether rather than the ambient one like how WHM/BLMs use their spells. This puts a hard cap on what you can summon. You can't summon a ramuh egi because you don't have spare aether, not because it's "too powerful"

in HW, MCH played fine, it had a very cathartic opening burst and it felt good to keep up the sustain until the next burst, which you could slip into comfortably, you had some wiggle room and it all flowed nicely and you had a solid foundation to add onto it, what with the lengthy sustain between bursts. It had a relatively high skill floor, but low skill ceiling
then we get SB MCH and it added a ridiculous amount of rigidity onto it for no real reason other than to piss people off, overheating for your burst feels especially obnoxious, I like flamethrower for AoE, but using it to slip into overheat for your burst is pretty clumsy
I just don't know why they ruined it, it wasn't easier to play, it was just worse in every way, overheat felt like a way to keep the fucking gauss barrel even though NO ONE likes that piece of shit, its an empty holdover from when MCH had cast times, felt like they had to keep the gauss barrel because I don't know, they needed every job to have a gauge even if it wasn't fucking needed

This is what a half-decent RDM's casts should look like. In this example, the parse ended up 60th percentile in o9s pre-echo.

As you can see, verthunder and veraero are the most-used skills. They are the heavy-hitters. Verstone and Verfire are also used a lot because they are the verquick spells that allow you to use verthunder and veraero more frequently. Fleche is a super-strong oGCD on a short cooldown so it gets used a ton as well. Enchanted redoublement makes it possible to use verholy and verflare, so you see it gets used the same amount of times as verflare+verholy put together. Jolt... is way down the list.

Some room for improvement here probably includes using impact more (so it doesn't fall off unused) and corps-a-corpse.

A: It won't be displayed, because those face parts wouldn't work in FFXIV's system if headgear were involved. Even Viera ears would've had to be moved down to where Miqo'te ears are. It would've been meaningless if you couldn't go all-out creating characters from these new races, so we decided that helmets wouldn't be necessary. You can equip them, but they won't be displayed. However, things that replace the head are OK, like the snowman head, fat chocobo head, etc. No glasses. Basically, the default is that it won't be shown, and only things that replace the head are ok. We'll make more things compatible over time, bit by bit, but they won't be compatible at launch.

In a highly padded competition like savage logs with a character not using best in slot gear, 60th percentile is damn good.
