I can't get into it at all

Are you burned out? I took like a two year break from games

no I've played plenty of other games recently
fallout 4 just feels like shit

Super comfy game, especially with mods. Wish I had screenshots of my Far Harbor village from previous savefile. Bethesda needs to include base building in all of their future games.

Of course it is. Most of Yea Forums are just poser faggots that lie about not playing "normie" games but secretly buying and loving them all.

It's a garbage collector simulator with okay shooting. After a couple of runs I wind up modding in a bunch of weapons, non-pa jet pack, bullet time, settlement shit and some QoL mods that cut out time waste. Then run rampant flying around on roof tops shooting things in slow motion and blowing shit up. Collect trash, level up, build stuff, repeat.

Name 7 games that are better than FO4

at least it wasn't as bad as Fallot 3

Ready to enjoy it 6 more times S()YB()Y?

Not who you're talking to but I'll give you eight:

Fallout 1
Fallout 2
Fallout: New Vegas
Wasteland 2
Atom RPG
Underrail

All of which are proper post-apocalyptic RPGs and not half-baked survival-crafting games with cringeworthy writing and barely-there contradictory worldbuilding.

lmao there’s never gonna be another system shock that thing has been scrapped so many times now, dead space was supposed to be system shock 3

there is no point playing this as an RPG game, just load up a ton of mods and shoot shit. Playing as One Punch Man with the mutant powers mod is very satisfying.

Shit sorry I meant to say six, not eight. I cut two games off for being to much of an acquired taste

Too bad, I said 7(seven) games

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice
RE2 Remake
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Dragon Age Origins
Kingdom Hearts 2
Mount and Blade
Tetris

Pretty much anything really

Its okay by itself but it seriously does improve game with mods to restore some old features

Sounds Snobby.

Yeah, I loved FO4. I think I had sunk 21 days into solely the game & dlc w/o mods. Far harbor produced the best and strongest weapons along with equipment, but nuka-world was probably the most fun. Although, I'd recommend fully finishing the overworld before getting deep into nuka-world. It was super comfy and I hope the next one holds up even better.
To be fair though, the systems used in FO:NV were far superior. The karma, the faction likability, and the more difficult dialogue choices added much more flavor to NV.

I imagine somebody says the same about rolling in their own shit.
Doesnt mean a lot on its own though, does it?

all you did was tremendously lower your sensibility, then.
if you don't masturbate for a month, an uncovered ankle is hot - if you don't play for a month, fallout 4's not so bad.

It was worse, at least fallout 3 tried and failed at being an RPG. The only thing 4 improved was the shooting, but it still isn't good enough to compare even to a bad shooter.

Jackie Chan

and all of these still have fallout 4 beat by a mile.

risen 2 and 3, star wars battlefront, CoD infinite warfare, dragon age 2 and inquisition, supreme commander 2.

What are the essential mods?

OK if you say so sweaty ;)

That's literally all bethesda games, or any game with complex mods really

Devil May Cry 3
Bloodborne
Nioh
NieR: Automata
Metroid Prime
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Mario Galaxy
Fallout 2

>sweetieposter

Fallout 76
Devil May Cry 2
Plumbers Don't Wear Ties
Superman 64
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
Dark Souls II

Literally the only good quests in the entire game are the Silver Shroud and the U.S.S. Constitution.

Far Harbor quests are generally good too.
Also I don't get the hate for Nuka Cola

>trying to piss on somebody already taking the piss
Was it autism?

It’s fun to wander around doing oddball missions and tinker with weapons and whatnot... but the storyline, factions, and dialogue suck.

The secret of cabot house is nice too.

Wow no wonder you find Fallout 4 enjoyable, you're a cretin who enjoys shovelling literal shit into his mouth.

i liked it, the problem is that its really only interesting for like the first ~15 levels or so. its like they didnt bother testing the game in any serious fashion past the beginning. settlement building is pointless, the factions are pointless, the exploration is fun at first but then you realize there's nothing interesting to find anywhere, and since settlements/factions are pointless it wouldnt matter anyway. wasted potential.

The first couple of hours are so slow and boring and the writing is appealing in some places but apart from that it's pretty good. Definitely Todd's worse game but not the travesty Yea Forums makes it out to be

Kek

Balance is fucked. Get a baseball bat and 9111196 SPECIAL, make some purified water and you've got a character that can reach Kellogg on Very Hard. With semi-reasonable perk choices you'll be able to kill an Assaultron by level 7.
Unless you play on Very Easy, the game will drop Legendaries left and right, so you're bound to find the AP Refill Stick eventually.
That reduces the game to constant cycling in/out of VATS where you're an invincible teleporting god.
All guns are shit. A rifle will deal a fraction of a combat knife's damage and you still have to supply it with enough ammo (pretty much impossible on automatics) and handle the recoil (pretty much impossible on automatics). And then you get killed by a dog while reloading.

It is a boring walking simulator with none of the interesting things locations or characters that made previous Bethesda walking sims actually enjoyable. It was a disaster.

Bethesda was never good

>literally 10x as dense as every other 3D fallout
>walking simulator

i think you have FO3 and FO4 confused. FO3 is just a big empty map.

If you mod it enough and ignore settlement building then yeah you could enjoy it but it's still falls flat compared to previous BGS games and other 3D Fallout games.
Morrowind>NV>Skyrim>Fallout 3>Oblivion>power gap>Fallout 4

PLEASE. I HAVE TO. FIND MY, SON (fake sobs)

Settlement building is the best thing about this game

Well, yeah. It was made for your kind.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt

No it's not, it's raw as fuck and if you try to mod it it's still too overwhelming. It's basically hoarder-micromanager-babysitter simulator. Even Sim settlement doesn't fully fix it. It's a fine looter shooter with a decent enough world design.

oblivion was

Outside of NV every game you listed is a turd.

I couldn't get into it at all. I hated the dialog system, the voiced protagonist and the story in general. The combat also felt really awkward. Shooting felt like a really bad mix of FO3/NV and Stalker.

I was so hyped for this game and I played it for 100+ hours so no doubt I had a good time.

But it never felt immersive in the same way 3 and New Vegas did, where you really soaked up the atmosphere and story

I tried it again recently and lasted just under 4 hours before playing New Vegas instead. Much better game

>Far Harbor
this. it felt like it was created by a completely different studio. the pacing isn't all over the place like it is in 4's base game. perhaps it's because the island is so damn tiny they didn't have very much room to program quests to take you to random spots all over the place in what feels like a sequence-breaking order.

it was also really aesthetic in a lot of moments. i often stopped to take screenshots that are almost wallpaper-worthy, (if you like the often visually-crusty textures.) if it weren't for the shit story, streamer bait pacing, forced settlement building, and many other factors worth shit-talking, it could have been an amazing game.
