ITT games that used to be 10/10 GOAT but now are trash
only thing 10/10 about octopath is the music
Oh damn did they push a patch that broke the game? Haven't played in a while
this was a 10/10?
I heard it was a 7/10
>Oh damn did they push a patch that broke the game?
no. It got a PC port so now people are pissed
I PAYED FUCKIGN 70 BUCKS FOIRA A PORT WTF
It was never 10/10, it's a good 8-9/10, though. And still awesome, can't wait for the prequel (I think) thing coming out, sad it's on mobile.
the story is pretty take it or leave it and the graphics are kinda ugly but the gameplay is good and the music is good

>False flagging
Fuck right off sonykike, no sane man thinks like you! (this post had to be altered because the system thought it was spam)
>this got a PC port
thank god.
FUCK NINTENDO! one less reason to buy their trash system.
didn't the mass opinion of the game swap the moment an e celeb posted his video?
What's the best way to level up in this game?
The only thing I didn't like is that you have to constantly level up characters that you haven't used at all to progress.
that too.
Yea Forums is full of NPCs it's not even funny
You mean the guy who lied about how the game worked because he hates most RPGs?
>nintendofags constantly begging for ports from other consoles
>have been begging for Persona 5 for months now
>act like a bunch of retards when one of their games goes multiplat
TENDIES FUCKING SEETHING
>no. It got a PC port so now people are pissed
This is the dumbest meme ever. If a game loses exclusivity and people hate it, then it was never good to begin with.
I hope it does well and gets a spiritual successor. Octopath felt like a really good rough draft. A sequel that improves on its flaws would be awesome
Honestly the PC port is going to be trash. Who wants to sit down at a PC and play a JRPG? You can take the switch ANYWHERE because it's portable. PC cucks can't do that.
It was never a 10/10. You were just tricked because it was one of the few switch exclusives. It was always a 6/10
Laptops
or people are just retarded
this shit was never good.
Good to hear, hopefully it sells well and encourages the team to make a sequel.
For people thinking about picking it up on pc, the story is not emphasized like most jrpgs but the music, battle system, and overall presentation is phenomenal. Probably like a 8.75 overall.
Also the first character you pick can't be taken out of the party until you finish their story so make sure you pick best from the start.
Grinding is pretty quick, honestly. You can also try your luck with Bewildering Grace to get 100x Experience but it honestly didn't seem worth it to me, especially since a bad combo can cause you to totally wipe. After you've cleared a dungeon there's a chance that the boss will spawn as a random mob, you get plenty of experience from that.
I liked it more than xenoblade 2 for what it's worth. Better soundtrack, has a cool job system and I personally enjoyed the combat more
no, he just gave nintendo fans a go-to excuse to use whenever anyone criticized their only new game in the middle of a wii u-esque game drought.
>The only thing I didn't like is that you have to constantly level up characters that you haven't used at all to progress.
You really don't outside of the post game boss. I picked 4 characters, did all of the chapters, then switched out for the other 4 and did theirs. That way everyone was appropriately leveled for their chapters the whole game and I never had to grind at all
Persona 5 once it loses the exclusivity
Nioh
Yakuza
Detroit
Heavy rain
Etc, etc, etc...
The only people who think Xenoblade 2 is better than Octopath are weebshitters who think fanservice and waifus make a game.
the only people who think either of them are any good at all are tasteless shitters who think nintendo exclusivity is more important than quality.
It's objectively a 6 or 7 but it is the exact kind of game that is made for people like me in a lab. Loved it, played it for 90 hours
It was a 3/10 at best.
Octopath is decent, it just needs a more interesting story and more interactions
Any Japanese game that got localized.
I will straight up play any game with a job/subjob system. It's like crack in jrpg form
This literally happened to Bayonetta.
>and more interactions
I've never understood this complaint. Theres tons of inter-character development in the optional skits. It's about as good as it could be with the way the game is structured, and value the structure more than I do the plot.
It's super basic and should have spent another six months in development but if you like turn-based combat this game is amazing. I absolutely love the battle system. Breaking everything with the super jobs was awesome.
octopath is awful compared to the games it rehashes from: bravely default, live a live, romancing saga, saga frontier, etc.
>it just needs a more interesting story and more interactions
yeah, no big deal, it just needs to not fail miserably at two of the most important elements of a jrpg.
Isn't a sequel being developed for mobile?
>miu
opinion discarded
Nah, the mobile game is a prequel.
>two of the most important elements of a jrpg
The two most important aspects of a jrpg are combat and exploration
It was until shitposters used Dunkey as shitposting against the game
Despite Dunkey coming out to say the whole video was literally Chapter 1’s and not a serious review
>two of the most important elements of a jrpg
Apparently fucking not if you're caping for saga frontier and bravely default lmao
When the fuck was it ever a 10/10? One of the most bland and forgettable jrpgs I've ever played.
>Console war faggots getting their shit slapped
Feels good
You on the other hand, have bad taste and need your ass kicked.
>game is console exclusive
>considered 10/10 GOTY
>game goes to PC
>finally people realize game isn't that great
it keeps on happening
