the Krogan menace must be wiped out
There's a HD texture pack and some decent enbs availible on the nexus. Worth installing if you're on pc.
I would also recommend a mod that gives you max renegade/paragon points, so you roleplay how you want and not be constrained by always picking the same choices to get bonuses.
Tali is best girl, protect her.
don't let Wrex die even if you play a Renegade, you are robbing yourself from a great character
if you plan on playing all 3 games pick vanguard because it is the only fun class in 2 and 3.
>Any tips for somebody who wants to really get into this game?
Fucking play it?
i loved infiltrator my 3rd time, fun stuff, but Sniper sucks in the first game vs final boss
don't give up, i dropped it 3 times until i finally pushed through and now i love the trilogy
Watch Choose Wisely after the trilogy.
Remember to do your duty
Wow that was clever.
Currently running around with Garrus and Ashley. Thinking that Wrex character is gonna be somebody I keep around. Don’t have him as a follower yet though.
You are allowed to keep weapon mods you're not using most of the time, you know.
Pick squadmates with disables when you go to Ferum
Did you left the part, where Tali has evidence about the geth attack on Eden Prime, 2 full days before that attack even happened?
>Tali doesn't tell you when or where exactly she got the data
>it's never mentioned how long it takes to travel from Eden Prime to the Citadel
>Eden Prime was a major victory
>Shepard was out 16 hours from beacon explosion to Citadel arrival
Don't pick soldier.
It's the most boring class to play. Go with Vanguard or adept.
We don't know how long it is between his arrival on citadel and the council meeting. I'm pretty sure from the way everyone whines that the council is slow to respond to everything they didn't drop everything to hold the tribunal the second shepard arrived. They do mention reports being filed and reviewed beforehand so it's probably been several days at the minimum.

Oh, and there was a fucking c-sec investigation done too. I forgot about that. Pretty sure garrus was given more than 16 hours. Realistically it's probably been weeks between the eden prime attack and the council meeting.
ashley get off the extranet
Why do brainlet Rob themselves of the biggest fucking battle possible? Seriously, that many fighting the big bad was badass. Also, going by what would obviously happen if both the bugs and space niggers live, there would be an insane amount of conflict after. It would be fucking huge and that means none of the shit that went into what cause Andromeda would have happened. This is how I ended the last game, with the "Red" ending as well, because this shit and Andromeda never happening is my head-canon.
Andromeda.
Never.
Happened.
remember that all human males belong to alien women
I know I belong to Tali.

and vice versa

Fucking SAVED, s-sauce user, please.
not sure, I found it on one of these threads
Shepard has been around her so much that her body has adapted to him and he’s pumped so much semen into her that her reproductive system has come to only accept him as her breeding partner and the father of her children.

Many things are impossible until they are done.
It is stated, that Shepard has been out for 16 hours from beacon explosion to Citadel arrival. When we arrive the council is already in meeting with Udina. Garrus's investigation is already completed and turned down by the time we arrive.
In Tali's evidence Saren is clearly speaking after the Eden prime attack. The problem is, by the time we arrive, Tali has already been treated 'for a few days' by Doctor Michelle, because of a fight for the evidence with Saren's assassins. So while we were on the 16 hour journey she:
>acquired the evidence from an uncharted world
>traveled to the citadel
>turned down by C-sec
>got shot by Saren's assassins
>got treated for a few days
>arranged a meeting with Fist then the Shadow broker
before we even arrive on the Citadel? By the way how come she didn't mention to anyone, that she spotted geth in Citadel space? In ME3 she even mentions traveling to Illium before the Citadel. There are serious crack in her story, user.
There are a lot of clues like this Keep digging
How did that "traumatized dockworker" even know Saren?
Stop when you finish it.
Me2 is an okay gears of war knock off.
Me3 is an abortion, but with cool multiplayer.
Back on Eden prime? Good question...
fuck off incel
I’m still mad that they were so lazy that they didn’t give Saren different models throughout the game.
It takes 3 playthroughs to reach level 60 (two if you use exploits). Just use a savegame generator to make a save for importing in ME2.
ENEMIES EVERYWHERE

Lower your expectations for the sequels. Unless you like bland third person shooters.
Your mistake is assuming no time has passed between arrival at citadel and the scene in udina's office. Obviously it has. For all we know Shepard and crew have been sitting around on the normandy for weeks waiting for the council investigation to complete. I won't argue the game doesn't fail miserably at communicating this but it's clearly what has happened. If you think of it from an editing stand point there's not many moments in the game where you cut from one location to another like as what happens on arrival at citadel and pretty much every time this does happen there's an assumed passage of time being skipped.
Sorry, buddy, this is just not a plothole like you think.
Have you guys even played this game? The dockworker heard Nihilus call Saren by name. He witnessed the whole thing.
I'm fairly certain that I hit level cap on my first "NG+" every time. I usually explore everything, though.
I WILL DESTROY YOU
>Have you guys even played this game?
Gather all the other subhuman faggots who apply this demented reasoning to those they disagree with or those who forgot or mixed up something and jump into concentrated acid together.
>I won't argue the game doesn't fail miserably at communicating this but it's clearly what has happened
Fair enough, if you want to think of it that way who am I to say otherwise?
That's true, I was actually mixing him up with Dr. Manuel, the one who probably activated the beacon.
I want to kill both Ashley and Kaiden
kys
Same, they’re both so boring
Hey, boring people have right too
I want to kill liara
play adept in 1 to have the most fun because the gunplay isn't very good
this
Does Kaiden do anything in the Mass Effect games aside from complain about his headaches, cry at Shepard on Horizon and become the second Spectre if left alive
...awesome powerset?
Is that a ME3 thing? Because in 1 Sentinels are the worst class.
No.
How much are you forced to interact with other characters? Can you just play solo and not recruit party members/let everyone die?
it's all downhill after the first game.
Your character dies in 2 if you don't meet the absolute minimum of "squad points" or whatever they are called. I'll try to find the chart.
play as a Sentinel and get gud with the pistol
the other weapons may seem needed at times but you can beat the whole game with a pistol on normal mode, plus have fun with tech And biotic, you get a taste of everything and you need it later in the game
You need at least 2 recruited party members (which include Perfect Jeans and The Prize, I guess?) for the PC to survive.
Attached pic has a lot of spoilers, beware.
Honestly if I have to put up with these conversations I won't even live long enough to die in 2. But the chart would be appreciated.
Oops~
I had to trust the chart as I only played through 2 once. It's not appealing enough to play again, even despite some gems by the wayside here and there.
No...
Thanks, mate. So if I'm reading this right, it should be possible to reach the end while ignoring everyone, and your only punishment is going out in a blaze of glory? Well there are fates much worse than that.
Hey, he volunteered. Didn't want to embarrass him in front of everyone!
lol Mass Effect is the wrong trilogy if you don't care about story or conversations
Eh, I don't really see the problem with companions. Mordin is great. Grunt is rather fun, being a curious youth overflowing with energy and enthusiasm. Garrus was fleshed out rather well. If you have a problem with others then sure, ignore them. But all in all 1 was supposed to be an actual RPG, despite the ill-fitting perspective and cover shooting, so it might be you came with the wrong expectations.
But if you just want a shooter with waifus you can just skip to 2 with very little loss.
Read the Codex, most of the entries even have voice acting
You think I don't realize? But I like science fictions, I like RPGs, and I'm not exactly swimming in options here. I put this off for as long as I could, but now I'm desperate enough to bite the bullet.
>But if you just want a shooter with waifus
Heavens, no. There is something in BioWare's writing that just makes me want to pour molten lead in my ears and claw my eyes out. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's the same thing that makes it impossible for me to endure American science fiction tv shows. Has to do something with the cinematic presentation too, I think. I could handle it better if it was pure text.
Acquiring the Reaper IFF causes the Collectors to kidnap the crew, right? I don't think that leaves enough time to complete Legion's quest if that's the case.
Op here.
What’s the consensus on the best follower combinations?
Also I chose soldier and I’m only shooting people. Did I fuck up?
How do you figure? At the very minimum, you can do one mission before bad things happen.
in 1? Soldier is okay, it's just that the other classes are more fun and make it less of a slog
choosing your followers isn't really that big of a deal, obviously if you're going to be running into the geth you'd want to bring Tali who can fuck with machinery, aside from that I don't think it really matters, you can customize everyone's weapons to fit whatever combat situation that comes up
Shouldn't be possible, the gap between levels 59 and 60 is too fucking huge.
Okay I didn't realize I had one mission to do something, that's good to know, it's been a while since I played 2. I'm completing everyone's loyalty missions before hitting the derelict Reaper.
>robbing yourself from best boi because you’re a retard
Plz don’t do this.
>that email of that Daro'Xen sends Shepard after Tali's loyalty mission
she's just playing hard to get
Correct and no, you have time for exactly 1 mission, I believe.
>There is something in BioWare's writing that just makes me want to pour molten lead in my ears and claw my eyes out. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's the same thing that makes it impossible for me to endure American science fiction tv shows.
Their overall presentation gives some amateur play vibes, I suppose. You just have to immerse yourself in the world and play along.
I guess I remember wrong, then. Unless taking out armatures and colossi on foot is considered an exploit. Because in NG+ doing that is at least somewhat of a challenge, as opposed to when you start from level 1.
>Also I chose soldier and I’m only shooting people. Did I fuck up?
Yes. Tech and biotic powers are where it's at, a pistol is more than enough to last you through the whole game.
Yeah, that's pretty much how you're supposed to do it. Throw the DLCs in there too.
I'm doing Zaeed's pretty close to the end because doing the paragon option requires a shitload of points. The scene of him just missing Vido and going apeshit is kino.
It's not like giving him what he wants affects anything else
I know, I just prefer seeing that cutscene over the renegade one. I forget if Zaeed ever catches him in 3.
Never mentioned again
There’s cut content involving Zaeed and Shepard having a convo on the citadel that revealed Zaeed had Vido cornered on some colony world, the Reapers attacked and a reaperized Harvester dropped in and snatched Vido away.
>Zaeed
Damn, I somehow completely forgot about him. Great character, shame they gave so little spotlight to him. Although even what they did works quite well.
FFFFFFUU
Help Zaeed: you pick up an assault rifle upgrade
Don't help Zaeed: you pick up a heavy weapons upgrade
Or maybe the other way around
But these upgrades are mutually exclusive
GOD DAMN IT
Get ALOT mod so the game doesn't look really old
Don't let Wrex die, let Ashley die
Get a mod that improves the Mako's handling
Don't rush the story, do the side quests, otherwise, it's only an 18 hour game
What kind of fucking scrub needed this on their first playthrough?
I have one problem with the first game.
The thing is that Good. You opened this message.
This isn't actually asari military command.
They're busy tending to what's left of their planet.
So you survived our fight on Thessia.
You're not as weak as I thought.
But never forget that your best wasn't good enough to stop me.
Now an entire planet is dying because you lacked the strength to win.
The legend of Shepard needs to be re-written.
I hope I'm there for the last chapter. It ends with your death.-KL
ME2 was advertised to a different audience, they are not accustomed to RPGs.
The kind who can't see the fucking future and doesn't know that taking Grunt and Garrus to fight the Reaper baby means dooming some of your party members to die.
Weird why they'd cut that out
>*teleports in front of u and stabs u*
that was for thane u sunovabitch
Should clarify that my second fireteam leader died, and I didn't have Zaeed and Kasumi.
Yes. Wrex is based, only cum-guzzling faggots dislike turtlebro.
Don't play soldier, you moron. ME2 feels nothing like GOW unless you picked the class aimed at retard shooter fanboys of games like GOW.
