I had fun modding skyrim normally for about a few years and then I stumbled onto how much more engaging Skyrim becomes when you just throw sex, rape, and kidnapping everywhere.

No. SE is not good for it because it meant porting every single porn thing from old Skyrim to the new. Perhaps this would have been accomplished over the years, but Bethesda went out of its way to kill its own modding community, so many people straight up left after the paid mod debacle and work on many projects had stopped or turned private, for personal cliques only.

The SE is 64x architecture, which means the game can use more than 4 gb of your ram, previously support for such things had to be introduced by ram-patching your game that worked whenever it felt like it, which is why heavily modded Skyrim was always so fucking unstable no matter how good your PC was.

Or inserting ads into your mods to get them to sell better? Copyright protection? For what? Mods? And if mods become copyright protected, then only original content is allowed unless you own a license for it, which means that you will no longer be able to mod things from different media into TES games. It comes with an ENB that I'd recommend trying to lower the settings on. I have a decent rig but it does cause some framerate drops.

But I do like playing skyrim with light modding so I'm going to get back at it. I get by with a few perk overhaul, applying custom spells to all enemies, bits of vigor and wildcat, and ultimate combat.

Gives me area damage, wounds, better perks, vampires, werewolves, and magic while also making it so that I can actually die early on without touching the difficulty. Makes blocking something that needs to happen to survive as well as nerf stealth archery.

You could, we could, but it's a fucking ungodly amount of work. You have to sit down and trouble shoot everything. There's that 'Skyrim Modded Perfectly' or what the fuck that one compiled pack was and it's like 250 mods but it took like 73 people to do it. It's a massive pain in the ass.

Combined with my merged mods I'm pushing 300 and will probably go to 330 after I'm done reintroducing combat into skyrim.

Before mergplugins and now zedit? You didn't do it unless you had the tism. Now that zedit exists? It's a matter of merging shit in, in bulk, checking to see if it works, unmerging the shit that doesn't work, and moving on.

Clothing mods are crazy streamlined because of this. but I keep those disabled when I'm in a normal playthrough because they clutter up my crafting list and followers with scripts can be merged too with minimal worry where as before all sorts of shit used to fuck up down to the facegen data which caused body followers to appear.

Generally now the only rule you have to follow is sticking to merging the same "type" of mod. Which is fair.
