How are the dragons not cool characters? You can control them and fight shit with them, just like any other character, albeit for a limited time since they're stronger.

Bro you got her for free, then you have 14 days to do whatever you want with her. If you bench her and never use her within 14 days they take her from you yes, but if you do a minimum of 12 missions in those 14 days you are already done. Dailies alone are 5 missions and you can use skip tickets if you are maximum lazy, so 3 days and you have her by tapping the screen 3 times once a day. Unironically less than 5 minutes required.

I don't recall 500 friendship being all that easy to come by all those months ago. I was only like two weeks into the game and didn't play much, so I didn't have tons of skip tickets and shit to use.

Fuck no, they didn't fix shit. The game demands your full attention while making you grind the most mindnumbingly repetitive bullshit. I got burned out from playing the same shitty event quests over and over and over. Plus Nintendo is committed to keeping the game unplayable on emulators.
GBF is tolerable since it only takes up 1/5 of my screen and I can multitask while grinding away. Epic Seven is tolerable since it's emulator-friendly, has zero load times, and has has good auto AI. FEH is tolerable since it's not a time-consuming game. Dragalia has none of those qualities.

the poblem with dragalia is that it doesn't feel rewarding to get ssrs
In fgo they have line and a pretty well defined personality
In Feh you can build units and use their skills so summoning is just the beginning
in dragalia they just have 3-4 lines and that's it

Moreso the problem is with how fucking generic the characters are gameplay wise, every single dagger user for example, regardless of rarity plays almost exactly the same, just with more passives if they're a higher rarity.
