I feel this game is entering the quake dad phase: the only people that play it are patricians that have 100% the whole franchise, and then there's the people that play it and abandon because they either don't get it or they FPS the whole game and never come back
There's no normie Hitman player, thanks to the game being very deep in mechanics while having a big price, and this cumbersome price model

They are rehashing the elusive targets non-stop
It's more of an incentive to play weekly and the tension of having only one shot at it
It's makes a real difference knowing that if you fuck up it's over

Shame. Maybe some day they'll release an ultimate edition with permanent versions of elusive missions or something.

In my opinion they want to introduce new content to keep it fresh but they are mistakingly creating the impression that the vanilla game is incomplete, and that's not the case at all

not possible since it's all bound to their online server, if you're not online you won't even see the mission.
But they will probably do a rerun of the targets like they did with Hitman 1, and when that rerun is complete, Hitman 3 will be on the horizon, and so on...

I expected as much but still I gotta say, that's pretty gay.

It really is a bit of a catch 22 and a damn shame it's giving people that impression because Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 are some of the most complete and fully fledged games i've bought in the last decade.

I probably have 50+ hours on each of the maps in 2016 alone.

I feel like Hitman being free on PS Plus got a lot more people interested.

The problem is that the way that Hitman is good is the way in which it's similar to point and clicks which are already a niche genre.
