I could understand getting a leet gamer chair in general but I've no idea why you'd get a branded one like this. You're never going to see it when it's in use, the Vault Tec colours might as well be standard.

Do not ever buy a racing chair or "gaming chair".
They are overpriced and will destroy your back.
I've known multiple people who have gotten extreme back pain from these types of chairs.
They do not offer proper back support and the wings on the side unnaturally hold you center which constricts freedom of movement in a desk environment.

Buy a good office chair, preferably one that has been rated for long sitting sessions.
Mine is rated for over 10 hours at a time and is very ergonomic.
Not only is it comfortable but I have never experienced any back pain from it.

Don't waste money on trash that's going to end up in landfill, invest in a good chair.

Gaming chairs are a scam. Same for "gaming" headsets, "gaming" keyboards (except for mechanical ones, even office mechanical keyboards are marketed towards gamers to some. Gaming mouses are fine if you are not buying cheap shit, they actually provide you with advantage and better grip compared to normal mouses.

I bought one of these a while back, and even though its a huge upgrade from what I was using before, it isn't nearly as amazing as what I was expecting.

Armrests are a lot more inconvenient than I thought and they can be pretty troublesome. The chair is definitely comfy when you position yourself properly, though.

Still not sure if I should remove the armrests for good, though.

The $1100 price is a bit hefty for new, but considering that it still works and feels like it's new it was well worth the purchase. If you sit for a long time every day, invest into a quality chair. My dad always keeps buying these dxracer chairs every few years because they break a lot and whenever I'm visiting and have to sit on it, it feels disgusting.

I can't speak for shroud, but as someone with a ~200 user viewerbase on twitch I got offered a chair from dxracer, they said every 3 years they'd send me a new chair if I used it, and I had to sign a contract to use the chair and only the chair till then. Needless to say I took it, free chair, but it broke less than a year in, piece of shit plastic joints snapped and the chair doesn't stay upright. I imagine shroud probably had a much shorter contract period and probably got paid in addition, I can't blame him at all. It's a total mess to do gear sponsorships because if their garbage hardware breaks you're sort of forced to buy a new one to keep up appearances.
