I only really like minecraft for the ability to build a world you design. For one, he's added the materials, shapes, and tools to actually create a somewhat detailed world, and has already added basic shit minecraft is only just getting now, like an advanced furnace.

No I even play on hard if that surprises you, I like challenge when I go caving, and I play on survival because I like the grind of actually gathering the material, i just dont find it fun to go monster hunting or have to avoid them at night. so even if the game had no enemy mobs I wouldn't be hurt that much.

That's interesting. For me the mobs have the entire game a drive.
Like I want to build a base because I want to be safe from mobs. I want a compound so I can fish and farm and be safe from mobs. I can only build so much of my base during the day and mine at night so mobs don't overrun my base. I've explored all the caves under my base, time to go really far and build another base.

Another drive of mine was completely mapping out the entire world. That's really cool and hard to do. I don't monster hunt but it deff adds a routine and cycle to your gameplay.

I just don't get why if you're all about building stuff why then play the game regularly. I guess you answered it yourself, you like grinding for materials. Just seems strange to me but eh

the autistic swede releases 1 update per year, without much care for playability, sometimes remaking half the ending from scratch, sometimes adding something trivial. He's active on twitter, but seems to be treating it like a really chill hobby, so it's not really progressing considering the timeframe
