RP is huge on servers like Balmung and Maetus. Thats where you will want to go. They do a lot of normal RP, not just ERP. People have bars and community events at houses all the time, its pretty wild.

I started on Mateus way before it became an "RP server" when Balmung got locked around Stormblood's release. I still cleared this last savage raid tier pugging and don't RP at all. Nobody RPs in duty finder and nobody tries to randomly chat me up with RP.
I won't be transferring.
