I like fried eggs

i actually enjoy my hardware failing after a few years of regular use

I prefer the non-upgradability and lack of thermal headroom in my overpriced laptop.

don't have enough space for a desktop.

making my tummy warm while i masturbate while watching porn on my bed

I chose a desktop for my current computer but the one argument I'll give it is "LAN parties". I mean yeah, I could lug my tower to my bro's place and then awkwardly set up some screen and speakers, or just bring a laptop and sit behind him while he's on his tower. Like right now we wanted to play Risk of Rain 2 but we can only do it over the internet when it would be nicer if there was an easier way to play locally.

My friends parents are divorced and he jumps house to house because his dads is closer to his job and his moms is closer to his Uni. That’s the only way I could ever justify owning one, I would never tear down and rebuild a tower 2-3 times a week. I don’t jump houses so I just built mine though

"Prebuilt"

Didn’t want to carry a tower as I move too often. Recently moved tp Europe. No way I’m gonna get a desktop for another 5 years at least.

I’m not poor

I move houses around a lot and the logistics of moving my rig on cross country flights is a nightmare

I travel a lot.

I have a small room, I am often back and forth between locations and I got it for free.

I want my main desktop pc only for gaming/watch videos/etc but my laptop for work

My power goes out often

I could understand it if the owner was rich as fuck.

CAD software for work

I bought an Asus zenbook 14 for the 6-12 hour batterylife/it's size and use it for gaming, since the i5+1050MQ can shit out a decently stable 60 fps at 900p/720p in most of the games I play on it.
