So my internet is down and I wanted to play metro exodus but because its from the epic games launcher I need internet to use it. An offline single player game now requires internet.

Had the same problem with Steam even after the offline shite was supposedly fixed, the game had to be ran at least once online first before it worked offline
Third party launchers are never worth it. Take the pirate pill

>my internet is down
We know you are an EPIC!!1 faggot, but the fact that your internet is down means you are also either a wizard or a phone posting faggot. Please die.

services to the publishers duh, stop listing this garbage intended for consumers

Welcome to 2004 launch of Half-life 2.

use -EpicPortal

Origin does do 3rd party keys. You can buy them from Humble and Amazon.

>internet off line
>still posting

Just tether your phone to the pc and play. It shouldn't use much if any data

I don't condone piracy but online-needing DRM is basically unacceptable.
There has to be some other way of protecting the game. If they can't find it, then I agree with a lot of people who say they NEED to start going back to physical releases for PC games again, where they can at least assure themselves of copies' legitimacy.

The chart's not meant to compare launchers in earnest, it's meant to paint steam's bloat as a positive. Nothing else

If your internet is down, you have more things to worry about than playing a game.

>Loyalty Program
Say what you will about Ubisoft, but I've always liked the way Uplay integrates in-game rewards with achievements, even back before Uplay was a launcher/storefront. It actually incentivizes getting achievements.

>2 options
>retry or unreal engine
wtf

>Just tether your phone
Not every one has tethering
What great idea are you going to have next, just move next to a McDonald's?

>"bloat"

>installing Epic Store on your PC

i know you are a lying faggot because Epic added offline mode just before Metro’s release

I live in a big city in America, and I use the one internet service provider that's available, and my internet goes down a lot.

MyVIP Rewards was pretty great on the XBOX, all rare achievements would convert into points you could exchange for digital items, gift cards, and some physical items.
Too bad I didn't understand it fully until a few weeks before it was shut down.

Or he just stole it verbatim from R*ddit

Try not to reply to me during your schizo episodes, cheers

Unacceptable, and I mean that with ZERO irony.
You absolutely must have the ability to access your games for any purpose, at all times.

No.

If it comes to this, then we choose European common law. Each to themselves, what they're owed. Enforced in stead of a lord.

The amount of memory Steam takes up at any given moment is entirely random because it's updating itself 3-12 times a week and any given half-assed update that they push chews through resources. It also takes the longest to start up of any launcher because of this.

jesus, why make these threads
we need some kind of automatic detection of this shit. Hell, if schoolteachers can do it for assignments, surely it can't be that hard.

launcher today is chromium shit

>Because valve did it 15 years ago it's okay for epic to do the same now

>HE USES EPIC
>HE USES STEAM

Yeah, I just tried disabling my NIC and running Metro Exodus and it worked fine. OP is full of shit.

Wrong, games from the Epic store work fine offline, you don't even need the launcher running, or even installed to play them.

The problem is Denuvo and you have only yourself to blame.
