What is the best nintendo game/series ever made and why is it Advance wars?
Advance Wars
Crashing this thread...
WITH NO SURVIVORS
I want to fuck Lash
excuse me, taste coming through.
>not having a competent queen as your second to help conquer the world.
Do you even monarchy?
Do they even make graphics this comfy anymore? FE just seemed to busy and generic.
Graphics
AW2 > AW1 > DoR > DS
Music
DS > DoR > AW2 > AW1
Balance
DoR > AW2 > AW1 > DS
Campaign
AW1 > AW2 > DoR > DS
Extra content
DS > AW2 > AW1 > DoR
DS is better than DoR in just about every category except unit variability.
As someone who played Advance Wars first and then tried to pivot to FE I just completely hate those games. There is no strategy beyond being super defensive at all times, RNG can fuck you over even if you play perfectly via enemy crits and bad level ups, the games are too long if you just want to run through it arcade style and too short if you want to min/max
yea I gave FE games a real shot and just do not enjoy them that much. AW is better in every way.
cute
Get good in risk management. Stop turtling like a shitter other wise thieves will get the chests before you can get them.
The only game the switches needs at this point that hasn't been announced (and probably won't ever be).
I have not bought a nintendo since ds, or a console since gamecube.
This is possibly the only game that would get me to buy a switch.
>when you board the Great Owl and it's every man for himself
If 1 tile is supposed to represent an entire settlement, 1 unit is a squadron of 10 vehicles, and movement speed is measured in how much you can travel in a day, how fucking big must that plane have been
Will never forgive Nintendo and Intelligent Systems for abandoning AW just because FE sells better.
Just a game bro
>infantry + artillery trench warfare
>have to make your own maps or play on a fucking fansite because the nintendo ones are so awful
anybody that likes this game hasnt played it beyond a preschooler iq level
the campaign was good
Absolute faggot detected. Of course you make your own maps. It’s a built in feature.
Name a Nintendo game with higher strategy IQ. I’ll wait.
Fire emblem is for weebs and requires little to no strategy to win.
please don't reply to me until youve actually played the game thank you
I've never played an Advance Wars game but I've been itching to try them out. Played Wargroove and it was mediocre and really just left me wanting something better. What Advance Wars do you guys think is the best that I should start with? Is there like a story I need to follow from the beginning?
I have you insufferable brainlet. Nothing in that game is hard.
Black hole rising was peak imo. Ds has the most features. DoR was disappointing, but still has a decent campaign and unit variety.
>No economy or unit creation.
>everything is a preset scenario other than units carrying over
>weeb tier story
>no multiplayer
Granted I only played the GameCube one emulated
It was inferior in every way.
Meanwhile, in games that actually require strategy.
Yea for the amount of time it took to make wargroove, it was incredibly low quality.
What's wrong it with it? And don't say artstyle
what'd you guys think of wargroove?
actually the art style is its strongest point.
Every unit is the same and there is no variety between them. Of course AW was this way too, but overall had so many more units.
I have to play more, but in all, the gameplay does not feel natural and smooth. It just FEELS like a lower quality AW knockoff.
I know that is a really shitty explanation, but that is the best I have.
Some of the challenges seem cheap, but can be rewarding.
I hate the CO on the map bullshit. I prefer faction boosts and co powers
All around it was a good fix, but I dropped it after only 15 hours.
