Why is /retrogaming/ so fucking expensive? I was looking into getting a PC Engine to stream some comfy vidya on real hardware, but the fucking console costs $200 US alone. The games that are worth getting are about $100 each, what the fuck!

Who's a collector here? Should I even start collecting this shit? I have money, but damn it's kind of pissing me off at the same time. Do Everdrives exist for PC Engine?

RetroPi is the answer.

A shit ton of hardware you'll find for sale is poorly kept anyway, and is probably fucking broken in some way too. That was my experience trying to buy a saturn. I went through 15 consoles before I got one that didn't have a fucked laser, or a busted tray, or nonfunctional/bent connector pins, or any other number of things.

High priced things tend to be the ones that work, or someone who sees all the other high priced garbage and throws their own up for that much.

PC engine is shit because they're just as high failure rate as sega CDs. I'd advise you just pick up an emulator, you streamer cunt.

Just emulate. Nobody will know.

I've legitimately thought about getting one of the FPGA based systems like the Analog Super NT since its more accurate and apparently really easy to use with a flash drive. Or the one the new open source project is based around.

Just buy steam link

Emulation is pretty fine most of the time I agree, but I have a Framemeister so my games already look pretty nice on stream.

Emulation is plan B, yeah, but I'm not gonna lie though, that damn PC Engine's always been eluding me. Always wanted to own one.

It sounds like you should have learned how to replace these parts lol

Shame you already bought the framemeister, but yeah, it's fucking expensive buying anything besides the most known consoles and games.
Not that I'd know of, I just emulate the shit out of everything.

I've repaired countless Famicoms and Disk Systems in the past. Pretty easy to get spare parts for both, but yeah I can't imagine how shit it must be to repair Sega CDs
