anyone talking shit about 8.1 is just memeing you, 8 as a stand alone OS is a fucking disaster that's true but the update to 8.1 fixed the mess, you only need to install classic shell, a free software utility to have the start menu back and that's it, it has many advantages over win7 and some of the good things from 10, you can completely block any telemetry you want as its not built into the system like 10 and so far everything i've played runs completely fine, also legal licenses on ebay can be found for as cheap as 4€, i've learned to love 8.1 when i bough a laptop that came with it in 2014 or something, the drivers and features wouldn't work well with 7 so i had to stick with it and quickly learned that its completely fine, in fact you wont ever even notice you're running 8, the app UI is completely optional and if you really want you can uninstall all the windows store apps
overall i love 8.1 and i pity those win7 anons who soon will have to pay for extended support or just stop using 7 altogether

Pic related is Cooler Masters Q300L, I'd wait just get Q500L which is the same size but somehow supports atx motherboards, it has a ton of room for cable management behind the motherboard. Doesn't hold many 3.5 HDDs though just 2 and 2 more SSDs.
