You know, people tend to mention Bowser's Castle as one of those stages we should've had for a long time, and I definitley agree, but something I never see mentioned is the Pokemon stages. Don't get me wrong, I love what we have, but at the same time, all of the stages are cities, stadiums, and legendary areas.

What I'm getting at is that I've always wanted to see a stage based on the forests. I dunno, whenever I think of Pokemon, I always think of where you look for them, and a good chunk of that time, it's in the wild. I'm pretty sure they'll never do that due to licensing issues, like how Pokemon several third party characters have strict rules on how their colors must be handled (like Pacman and Sonic always keeping just variations of their default color).

Dark Matter is one of the most important villains in the series. All those other floating eyeball final bosses were based on this guy.
It is the only recurring villain besides Dedede, who isn't even bad most of the time. A Dark Matter boss fight represents the series as a whole much better than Marx does.

You do realize a lot of the bosses in these games are reused from Sakurai's, right? Dedede, Whispy, and Kracko appear in almost every Kirby game. Of course the enemies that debuted in the first game and keep reappearing are more well known than ones that only appeared once or twice two decades ago. Remakes and the anime are also big factors in this.
Even with a small number of appearances, plenty of people still care about Adeleine. They begged for her to return every time a new game came around. The modern Kirby developers actually acknowledged this.

The issue with Samus is mainly in her normals, which are way too focused on meele combat, when you look at how characters like Megaman and Mii Gunner were implemented, you can see even her normals could be more weapon focused.

None of the Pokemon have shiny alts. They're CLOSE to being the same colors, but slightly different just because.

Captain Toad was pretty much a shoe-in for Ultimate if not for the fact that it was so newcomer-lite.

It's because GameFreak has some autism about Smash not being allowed to include the ACTUAL shiny colors because they're "special" or some shit, so they just use a really close approximation but a few shades off or something
