Fightstick thread

I have had a Hori Rap V (Xbone version) for about 2 years and I have no complaints except that maybe the buttons can be too sensitive sometimes. I don't have an Xbone I just got it for PC since it was the only one I could find at the time, and it works fine on PC in 360 mode. I have thumb issues so I can't use a regular controller for too long meaning I use it for everything and it's still kicking today despite almost daily use. Works great on shmups, fighters, platformers, pretty much anything that doesn't rely on analog input. I cleared Hollow Knight on it and it felt great. It's a great solid stick and I'd definitely recommend it, especially since it's professional quality at a decently affordable price. It's been out for a while now so you could probably get it used for under $150.

Before that I used a Hori Mini just to get my feet wet, and while I enjoyed it for a while eventually the stick started consistently dropping back inputs until they pretty much stopped working at all so I can't recommend it. The stick resistance was very high which you might enjoy if you don't like accidental inputs, and even though the buttons were tiny I didn't really find it that uncomfortable. Honestly for $50 if the stick never broke I'd definitely recommend it as a starter stick, but it's just not worth it if it's going to crap out on you in under a year. I didn't even use it all that much at the time either.

The nigga that uses this stick is sus. He plays his fighters as if he's holding a cello or some sort of instrument. I saw him often when GU in mass was still active. He's cool, but it doesn't shake the fact that he's still sus.

>spend hundreds of dollars on a controller for a niche type of games, in which they will n ever make it out of pools
yes.

I almost want to get a hitbox for brawlhalla

You can recycle the pcb on the hori mini if you still have it around, mate. If not: that breaks my heart...

alpha as fuck

>tfw too much of a brainlet to figure out how this works
How the fuck do you play an analog game on a digital input device? Especially since Smash doesn't have a run button option. Do you have a button for jab, tilts and smash attacks? Different buttons for walk and run? Different buttons for shield tilts? Sounds like a fucking nightmare. You'd need a 200 IQ just to play this above casual masher-tier.

Because people already assume you have an idea on what people play on a stick? Your autism is showing, nigga. It doesn't matter what people play using it. Games are meant to be fun, so let the people use whatever feels fun.
