Overdesigned garbage, thought up by a bunch of soibois who have never seen a gun.
Just look at that Hyperion "pistol".
Most of these guns look like shit-tier spacecraft, from some third-rate space RTS.
>only 33 guns
Has Randy lost it
>whole gimmick of Jakobs is the old west feel and aesthetics
>drop everything to pursue generic hunting\hillbilly guns mixed with "modern" shit
How much you wanna bet that the pump shottie we saw in the trailer is a Jakobs shotgun.
God fucking damn it i'm mad now.
>Hey John have you made any designs for the new Borderlands weapons yet?
>I think these designs look pretty good what do you think?
>*shows Atlas guns*
>Hey I got to ask have you ever seen a gun in your life?
>Nope
>Okay great me neither
Atlas kino is back on the list
Wasn't Atlas destroyed in the first game?
If they're back I hope the Eridan weapons are too
I don't recall ever using Atlas weapons in BL1 did they always look like abominations?
goddamn I hope these stupid fuckheads don't end up using the 2001 'sniper scope covers entire screen' tech, again
but odds are they will, this is borderlands 2.5, after all
Looks good. Like the additional gameplay differences too.
Errr, hello?
Where the FUCK is S&S?
>Looks good. Like the additional gameplay differences too.
Do you not have eyes or are you shilling?
Nah, they looked like pretty much the rest of the guns, just monochrome.
They were rare and had good stats.
>gun covers 60% of the screen
you heard it here first
>Visuals
No worse than BL2 or TPS.
>Gimmicks
Could be an improvement over 2, but I won't hold my breath.
>BL2 or TPS.
Look at the Atlas guns
how the fuck do you even hold it?
I have eyes, and if I were getting paid to post here I'd be putting a lot more effort into it. I think the gun designs look good. The manufacturers are clearly differentiated with interesting and unique styles. I don't care that they don't look like real guns, because they aren't real guns. The Atlas weapons look more like arm-mounted turrets anyways.
>the only experience rhys had with guns was that arm-mounted cannon
>all of his guns are no arm-mounted cannons
the absolute madman actually did it
can you please stop making these blatant marketing threads randy?
Imagine ever playing a pretend FPS skinnerbox to begin with.
>tediore, the cheap throwaway guns, look like one of the most complex and expensive lines
WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY MILLION BAJILLION GUNS???
take your pills schizo
>promise a billion guns
>only show 32
how do we sue Randy for false advertising?
>making 15 threads a day
YOUR JUST A SCHIZO BRO
>expecting diversity hires to play and know the game's history
n-nani?
>tfw randy still probably thinks this was a good idea
I want to shoot guns with no bullshit attached. When can we go back to BL1 loot bros?
>people are hyped for a videogame on a board about videogames
STOP SHILLING BRO
>people talking about a newly announced video game on a video games board? Must be paid marketers, they'll stop if I ask them too
based sane man
>implying bl1 loot was good to begin with
Wow, i sure love all those identical guns with mere stat flips and different paints.
They look boxy and mass produced.
the top one has a trigger hole right above the brown patch on the right side and the bottom 2 look like you slide your whole hand/arm into the hole
I like the new designs and most of the new gimmicks.
I think I see what you mean
still looks pretty damn uncomfortable though
no S&S munitions no buy
Wow this is sad. I didn't think they would have less guns than Borderlands 2.
>per shell reloading
This might be interesting if the power of the gun balances it out. I saw lever action Jakobs rifle too, Winchester style, with that kind of reload and according damage, it will be nice.
user, Jakobs shotguns look like garbage in BL2. Actually a lot of them look like garbage with that tacky gold and atrocious wood color.
They'll probably include them to the website presentation after the gameplay video or E3.
Your welcome
>All gimmick guns
>No normal guns
Shouldn't abilities like this be like an occasional special find rather than on every single gun?
>implying that's bad
Welcome to dungeon crawlers. You go around, get the same items, a bit better than the last, and finally you find the one effect that carries you the rest of the way. This shit looks gay as hell. Like what did they do to valdof? Why couldn't it had been just like the other games, with good fire rate. Now it's "Ha ha, look at these rpg attached to a pistol"
>muh vida guns must look reel!
Why? It's just a point and click/press. Doesn't really matter what is in your fake hands.
Guns in 2 looked worse desu. These are still pretty bad.
>Atlas is back
Based Rhys bringing them back
new game, new designs, some over the top, but it's Sci-fi, I wouldn't excpect less.
Hey someone saved my screen cap! Cool!
>Expecting a borderlands game to have only 33 weapons.
You don't understand how the loot in Borderlands works do you?
To be fair guns in Borderlands 1 looked like crap.
What's the issue here?
It's been replaced by Children of the Vault (COV, AKA the new enemy faction in Borderlands 3)
Their gimmick is still big mags, only this time it's actually infinite ammo. Catch is, the guns overheat, and I'm sure like the previous game's "Big mag" brands, the stats will suck.
>Hey guys anyone else excited for this new game?
>SHILL, CHINA, TIAMEN SQUARE, WINNIE THE POOH, STOP HAVING FUCKING FUN!
S&S need to return in a dlc campaign. What the FUCK happened with them?
S&S should have been a compliment to bandit guns. Good accurqcy, okay damage, g9od firare, fuck huge mags.
Bandit should have had shit accuracy, great damage, slower fire rate, fuck huge mags.
They should have been side grades of each other
>Ha ha, look at these rpg attached to a pistol
I'm trying to rationalize it as
>IVAN! CUSTOMER IS COMPLAIN OF NOT ENOUGH AMMUNITION
>CYKA BLIAT! MAKE IT FIRE OTHER AMMO
>IVAN YOU OF GENIUS
>needing to project this hard
Dahl looking tight. Hopefully the guns won't suck like in BL2.
Some people think the weapons are overdesigned, even though the series is set far into the future where it could make sense. Others look and think the game will ONLY have 33 guns while not understanding how the game actually makes the "Guns as Loot" thing work, which I will explain since there are legit retards.
In Borderlands 2, there are weapon "parts" in the game, a shitload of them. One specific part based on the design and stat philosophy of said brand. Through an ingame mechanic, loot is given by taking these ingame parts, and mixing them up into the loot you earn in game, and once the gun itself is made, it's stats are determined by both what the quality of the gun is (White, Green, Blue, Purple, E-Tech, or Legendary), and it's level requirements.
EXAMPLE: A Jakobs Pistol with pure parts (having all Jakobs parts) means a very accurate and VERY powerful pistol at Purple quality. The catch of course means alot of recoil. If the barrel were a Dahl barrel though, then there would be less overall damage, BUT, the recoil would be more manageable.
The same would be applied to Borderlands 3 I imagine, a SHITLOAD of gun parts of varying degrees of quality, combined to make random weapon assortments to become the loot of Borderlands 3.
The designs are lackluster and kinda blend together aside from Jakob's. Although I'm more interested in each manufacturers mechanics, like finally having firing modes and shields. It makes me hope they use these to make crazier uniques and not get lazy and simply increase stats.
Dahl makes good SMGs. But for Sniper rifles, nothing compares to a Jakobs~
lol fallout 4 had shit guns
While I appreciate the gesture, this is far too gimmicky. Each brand should have a strong design philosophy, not an specific gimmick.
Maybe those could work as random modifiers exclusive to those brand, but if it's on every single of them it will get boring fast, and probably cause a fuckload of balancing problems
Damn, just look at this gun! How are you even supposed to hold it?
You turn 90 degrees and walk away
i get that this is borderlands after all, but these look like toys.
>lol fallout 4 had shit guns
based filter raping you into submission
BL2 but with shiny bits
What's this image from? Is it from BL3 or one of the current games?
cherry picked or is this a cross section of what to expect?
>tacky gold and atrocious wood color.
Look at this faggot. Yikes!
>has COV
>Only talked about in borderlands 3
>Thinks we would be talking about the others when borderlands 3 is out in a few months.
What
Never played presequel, wasn't sure if it was in there, calm your autism. Where was this imagine shown? Didn't know there was actual game info out there other than leaks
>Requires several levels just to fully customize weapons, all of which only provide cosmetic and stat changes
>Lack of ammo type makes every weapon type function the same
>Uniques look identical with a either a shitty or game breaking gimmick slapped on
They shit
>fov slider doesn't affect gun position
This is the worst part about it.
>pre-sequel comes before every game in the timeline.
Holy shit my dude. You are dumb as fuck.
borderlands.com
Literally the game site has everything
>obsessed
Are you a marketing shill or just a massive faggot?
Everybody knows that Borderlands will have more than 33 guns, it's just that nobody CARES.
Is any of this somehow a problem?
>The more I argued with them, the better I came to know their dialectic. First they counted on the stupidity of their adversary, and then, when there was no other way out, they themselves simply played stupid. If all this didn't help, they pretended not to understand, or, if challenged, they changed the subject in a hurry, quoted platitudes which, if you accepted them, they immediately related to entirely different matters, and then, if again attacked, gave ground and pretended not to know exactly what you were talking about. Whenever you tried to attack one of these apostles, your hand closed on a jelly-like slime which divided up and poured through your fingers, but in the next moment collected again. But if you really struck one of these fellows so telling a blow that, observed by the audience, he couldn't help but agree, and if you believed that this had taken you at least one step forward, your amazement was great the next day. The Jew had not the slightest recollection of the day before, he rattled off his same old nonsense as though nothing at all had happened, and, if indignantly challenged, affected amazement; he couldn't remember a thing, except that he had proved the correctness of his assertions the previous day.
