replace sly with sky 2

ratchet and clank > sly cooper > jak and daxter
ratchet and clank was the most consistent, all the ps2 games except MAYBE the first one were all good, even some of the ps3 entries were good as well. cant say the same for jak and daxter or sly

In terms of trilogy or just the first game?

As a series? Hands down, Ratchet and Clank. It's not even easy to say that, but those games are great and full of shit to do.

Of the three? I'd probably say Sly had the best first game. The others hit their stride in the sequel.

s*y

Jak 1 and Sly 1 are the best, RaC 1 is very outdated and GC or UYA feels a lot better to play, even if UYA's level design feels less inspired, as a series RaC > Jak > Sly though.

Ratchet. He survived every gen since his inception.

this

Precursor Legacy > Up Your Arsenal > Going Commando > Jak II > Jak 3 > Ratchet & Clank

Haven't played the Sly trilogy yet.

How would you feel about a Jak and Daxter remake?

jak 1 would've been better if it was longer imo, you can 100% that game in a day

It would've been worse if it was longer. It's the perfect length as is.

shit, they would probably try to make it realistic looking at 30fps

Ratchet easily.

Sky is best

>got stuck on the fish minigame in jak 1
>still never went back and finished it despite beating 2 and 3 multiple times

fish minigame is the worst part of jak 1, the entirety of the jungle kinda sucks

Sly 2 = Ratchet 2 > The Rest
That's about it.

Overall
Ratchet > Sly > Jak

Remaster first. See Limited Run Games. I would one day hope for Sly, Ratchet, Jak, to return on PS5 with faithful, modernized remakes. Ratchet Reboot 2016, we can pretend that never existed. Just follow up the old games, improve and modernize gameplay elements and mechanics, and utilized PS5 hardware and capabilities.

Sly 1 > all of Ratchet > Jak 1 > Sly 2 & 3

Sly 1 is way out and by far the best.

Jak 1 > Sly 1 > Ratchet 1
Sly 2 > Ratchet 2 > Jak 2
Jak 3 = Sly 3 > Ratchet 3

Literally how? It's easy as fuck, I beat it on my first try every time I play that game.

I did think it was kind of weird, the direction they took Ratchet with the movie and the new game. I get that they probably didn't want him to be quite as much of a prick as he was in the first game, but he didn't really have a chance to grow like he did when he realized how badly he fucked up trying to focus on Quark when Dreck was still gunning for the galaxy.

Ratchet might be coming sooner than later. Better pray it's not a battle royale.

never said i couldn't beat it, just that it's a bad rng minigame that could've been replaced with something more interesting.

wouldn't ratchet battle royale just be fortnite without building and in space lol

I was young and had million other games to play at the time.

When I was a kid I liked Jak more but looking back I think Ratchet and Clank was the better series.

My issue was the character dynamics and interactions. Clank and Ratchet were to buddy-buddy for their first ever game in the reboot, there was no bickering where to stop next, who's in charge of their little adventure, or quirky punchlines after receiving coordinates to the next area. No one else in the new Q-Force fucking wants to talk to Ratchet, the first think you wanna do when you introduce a whole new cast of characters for a series to come, is to fucking actually introduce them. They just tag along with shitty one-liners for like a fraction of the missions. Ratchet being a hot-shot star new blood to Q-Force and the world recognizing him for it also wasn't in my taste, ruined that humble beginning for the quo in RC1, and the jump back to spotlight in RC2. Even in RC2, no one gave Ratchet the time of day, he just sorta came to places as he pleased and people in the area were only interested enough to head him in the right direction. Gameplay was super tight, and will be close to the series peak in that regard. Though, I'd have to take points off for not aiming for unlocked 60fps when making a Ratchet and Clank game, Zurkons and general AI auto-turret minions need to go, and should focus on making more deadly, versatile weapons. Forcing Grummelnet on everyone is also not favorable imo, people expected Gadgetron and Megacorp at most out of the first two games. Remixing levels to combine other previous maps into one is a good idea and the designs to come from it will be fun, but that only really worked with one area for me, the war planet/ice world. The collectibles were iffy, Skill Points were lazily tied in with Trophies, and the cheats surprisingly suck and feel dull.
Well they could do three things:
1) Continue on to remaking Going Commando but hopefully with learn lessons in mind.
2) Reboot the series again, because why the fuck not
3) Maybe a new original Ratchet Game/Trilogy?

Jak feels like the skateboarding and papa roach of videogames

have to agree

jak 1 > sly 2 = ratchet 2/3 > Jak 2/3 =Sly 1/3 > ratchet 1

>Jak
>not furrybait
You what?

the later jak games were edgy, sure. but they were still fun to play.
also skateboarding is fun

Nowadays she wouldn't be allowed to have boobs.

Who dis?

i wish i didn't miss out on this when i was younger, it's such an underrated game

I found Jak II to be extremely frustrating. I hated the driving mechanics, and in terms of gameplay difficulty, it was the exact opposite of Precursor: weirdly hard.

honestly jak 2 just lacks checkpoints

True enough. Modern devs are pushing hips.

I miss them. Sad we never got a cross over in the mid 2000.

Didn't we get a crossover for the EyeToy or some shit? lmao

playstation move but yeah that game is terrible

I-Ninja. It's a 3D platformer in the same vein as the 3D Mario games; you have different areas, each area has some objectives for collectibles etc. Pair that with some pretty snappy (though simple) hack 'n slash combat and you got I-Ninja. It was a game I randomly got for Christmas one year and i ended up loving it. Same with Metal Arms

Sly > Jak and Daxter
Never played Rachet and Clank
