Why do people keep posting this like Nintendo fans don't do Nintendo/PC already?
I hadn't gotten around to getting this for Switch yet since I'm a little apprehensive of it, but now I may get it on sale on Steam instead.
>beta testing
Is it going to be any better? I don't thing it's going to look much better in 4k.
>we didn't want it any way
>haha thanks for beta testing
Who cares you guys are pathetic play the game or dont
lol
>thinking that people care about this trash game being ported
Did anyone else think this game was surprisingly shit for how popular it was? Like not good at all! I just hated the bloated cutscenes and felt like the combat wasn't very challenging at all though granted I only got 4 of the characters before I gave up. Maybe it got better but I doubt it
I know two guys who are huge Nintendo Fanboys and neither one of them has a gaming PC that can handle anything past basic normie crap.
Hope you like the game bro
I didn't think it was that good, the story was really terrible and they didn't really do anything to any great the stories together, so you pretty much just wander around and see individual episode stories where everybody ignore your characters being there until you've got your whole team.
This but unironically.
PC + Switch is the ultimate combo.
Cool sample size, bud.
You cared enough to open this thread and let us know how much you don't care.
based
why do SONYbros do this?
>game gets ported from Nintendo = thanks for beta testing
>game gets ported to Nintendo = lol another port
Because they are retards. PC + Switch is the ultimate combo this gen.
I'm a poorfag so I'm really glad we are getting this on PC since I've always loved 2D rpgs and this seems perfect to tickle the nostalgia gland.
>Insist that they all do something
>Get bent out of shape if people know some that don't
I hope you enjoy it!
might have something to do with the fact that every single game that gets ported to switch is often the worst or almost the worst version of that game you can play, and then when stuff gets poured into another system it winds up being better.
Ergo, beta testing.
An intelligent person would not read the phrase "Nintendo fans" and assume this meant "all Nintendo fans without exception".
this game was awful i’m glad more people get to experience my hate
Fuck this is not fair. I will never trust Square again when they say its a Nintendo exclusive.
You're welcome user
Are there people stupid enough to own an xbone if they have a pc?
>Why do people keep posting this like Nintendo fans don't do Nintendo/PC already?
That's what you wrote, if you didn't want people to assume you were making a sweeping generalization, you shouldn't make sweeping generalizations.
I'll still buy it for the Switch, games like these are played better on a handheld
Maybe when Halo was an exclusive it made more sense.
that's how I got one early on, I don't think people really expected them to abandon exclusivity and then just port everything over to PC
Again, if you were an intelligent person you would understand intuitively that a generalization is not an absolute.
Hey, what's the name of that disability where you're way too literal about everything and struggle with basic social skills, again?
Not sure if bait...
>PC has one more RPG Maker tier game
Why should I care again? Looks like shite, reviews are shite, sounds like it's shite
if you are an intelligent person you wouldn't make sweeping generalizations then get totally ass blasted when people point them out
>PC + Switch is the ultimate combo this gen
Which gen? Switch didn't exist for half a gen
You're welcome.
Those Demos were fun and nice that Square let us give input on how to improve the game.
Hope you enjoy it
Eric, Eric, Eric...
This game won't benefit any from being on PC. You'll just lose the portability.
almost every port this thing gets that isn't coming over from the Wii u or a system that's over 10 years old is almost always the worst version of that game you can play or one of the worst versions you can play.
That's not bait, that's a fact.
This game isn't even that good. I could not play the demo for more than 30 minutes.
>"b-but everyone owns a pc anyway!"
S E E T H E
Still not on PS4.
*dabs*
who cares?
i mean, its been out for almost 1 year now and all the people who played it enjoyed it.
go ahead, take it, have fun faggot.
you aren't getting a "better" version.... you know that right?
>demo literally had a 30-minute time limit
great stuff sonyfriend
>if you are an intelligent person you wouldn't
lmao
I rest my case.
> Same game but at higher res
>Not better
Lol
>port increases the chances of a sequel
Please take it. The game is fantastic and as long as I get a sequel I don't give a fuck.
You have to read all of a post before replying to it.
>higher rez in a fake bit game
lmao
I know a lot of people who only on Nintendo systems and none of them do anything on their PC except browse the internet.
maybe people don't assume that Nintendo fans are going PC and Nintendo because a lot of them
It is an intentionally low res game, user.
THIS GAME IS FUCKING GARBAGE
But user, what about the phone prequel?
>higher res on a 2d game
yikes!
You don't know what resolution means.
I'm pretty excited. It was one of the things that had me considering buying a switch, despite its overpriced and underpowered hardware.
>I know a lot of people who only on Nintendo systems
Who only what on Nintendo systems?
>because a lot of them
Because a lot of them what?
I only know about Ark and V-Rally 4. OK, and Warframe, but that game runs pretty good on Switch. Also, I'm not a fan of 1st person shooters and I never played (latest) Doom, but I do remember some bitter topics about how it got better scores on Switch due to the ''Nintendo bonus''.
Today PCbros stole Yakuza Kiwami2 from Sony and Octopath from Nintendo.
Bros... we can't let them get away with it...
What a stupid thing to say.
>Why do people keep posting this like Nintendo fans don't do Nintendo/PC already?
because they don't. it's obvious from the rage and salt you see whenever yuzu makes progress on emulating a switch exclusive.
But you can emulate switch games anyway? What's the point?
God I'm glad I didn't buy this for Switch
Maybe ten years ago, the majority are switch+ps4 fags.
You're welcome PC-bro. Buy more copies so we get a sequel.
Me and three other friends have switch/pc two of them have a ps4 too
>there's people who don't own more than 1 console and a pc
You guys do it because you want to feel like a fanboy or because you need money? Seriously curious because consoles are cheap as fuck.
I'm fine with this port. More people get to play it, even though I won't buy a 2nd copy. However, I'm way more happy that Kiwami 2 is coming to PC as the PS4 struggles with that game most of the time.
This shit was literally one of the most boring games I've ever played in my life. Not worth buying it on either platform unless you have a hard on for MUH 80'S nostalgia
>Dying on Galdera's 2nd phase when he's on low health.
If he only had his bow or spear weakness unlocked I'd have been fine.
Also for my non combat squishy people like Primrose which three do they want out of hang tough, second wind, sp saver and patience?
this
Well if we're talking big graphically intensive AAA multiplats then yeah, I would say you're correct, but there really aren't very many of those. Most ports are from the Wii U or they're indies or something that runs identically to other platforms. The difference ends up being that the Switch usually gets the complete version or one with some sort of little Nintendo themed extra content. Plus it's portable. I would argue that the vast majority of ports on the Switch are the best versions of the game.
No prob PCfag enjoy your 100 hours RPG alone in your shit basement while we can play it anywhere even when we dating our girlfriend.
t. bitter Snoyniggering falseflaggot
Everyone probably does have a PC that can run Octopath. Phones can run it.
>tfw now you can't call this game shit anymore without being called a nintendo fanboy on damage control
like really, it's a pretty mediocre jrpg with an okaish battle system and an extremely boring and tedious story. Unless you haven't been playing jrpgs these past few years, this game is really not worth it.
Can't wait to pirate it.
This is my opinion as well. The game had a lot of flaws, but I still liked it and want more and with polish.
>implying most people give a shit about the shitch
what could you possibly enjoy in this shitty game
>beta testing
Lol. Enjoy our scraps, 5 years later.
Soundtrack.
Beta testing what? It is a sprite rpg. They ain't gunna change shit.
did you know you can listen to the soundtrack for free on the internet
I'm not going to effort post for somebody who seems determined to shit on it, so here's a tl;dr: it was like SaGa Frontier and Bravely Default had a (premature) baby. I went in expecting to be underwhelmed but it ended up charming me. The formula is solid but desperately needs an Autism Division to oversee the character content of the next game.
Some of the storied were fun. The sprite work looked good to me. I liked reading the side details from Alfyn/Cyrus path action then what you could take from them with Therion. It had a lot of charm despite its flaws. I liked the voice acting as well, Olberics voice lines are great.
>muh charm
ok but how about the actual game part
you know the part that you play
>tfw hacked Switch + gaming PC
Cool, but I didn't even play it on Switch. I remember saying that Octopath will come to PC last year, because it's Square, and got a response of "NEVER EVER". Now Square needs to port over the Bravely series to PC.
Some of the bosses were pretty good in maing you re-adjust your tools and playing with new tech, like the dire wolf, any of the four secret bosses, or the post game boss
You nintendo niggas are fucking drones holy shit
I just hope it's fun. I want to try it on Steam. Even if it winds up being disappointing, I still would like to give it a try.
Portability
It's the same game dude, but enjoy your thomas the tank engine mods i guess.
the battle system seems specifically tailored to boss fights so yeah those were pretty good, but the remaining 95% of combat is a boring slog
I have over 4000 games on steam and I use my computer to do nothing except browse the internet.
The break/boost mechanic forced me to use buffs/debuffs more than any other jrpg I've ever played, even SMT. Not sure if I appreciate the game was designed that way or annoyed that's how you HAVE to play if you want to take down the harder stuff. It's a fun game to play blind but I don't think it has much replayability.
I'm an idort thank you very much.
The gameplay was fun. Nothing super exciting but I enjoyed playing a characters chapter every night before bed or something. It was fine.
People disagreeing with you or enjoy something you didn't are drones now? I am sorry you live in such a black and white world. Go to Tumblr or Twitter if you don't want people to have different opinions on things user.
It's pretty good overall. Fuck that post-game final boss though holy hell.
Mostly true, but if you want to raise the difficulty (of the bosses) and lower the grind you can get a passive that eliminates the random encounters (or massively lowers the rate, forget which)
The bosses are great though.
Okay let's be real here
What are gonna be the benefits of a PC Port?
Intentionally low res textures at 4k?
Better loading times, sure
What else?
More sales from PC owners, pretty much the only thing Square cares about. Square is going to port this game to everything they can.
How much better tho? There aren't many in the game, the switch has a SSD.
It wouln't be so bad if it let you do a temporary save, or didn't let you save but had the auto-save as just before the boss, that way you could properly try out different tactics and combinations, tactics, and skills
I feel like some mods would be good for challenge modes. No encounter, level lock, removing the restrictions on subclasses (or main classes for that matter).
Mods potentially, to remove annoyances / improve balance.
Having an auto save right after the gauntlet would have made it way easier.
2 hours of battery life, great portability, nintendofags are delusional
Enjoy the game PC bros. Everything's fine as long as Söyniggers don't get to play it.
You're welcome bro. Hace fun with it.
I fail to see what was wrong with the initial release though
>any great
Please tell me you didn't mean integrate
>Everything
PC and Switch only.
You can? Last i heard Odyssey was the only relatively functional game
It's Square, I wouldn't be surprised if they port this to everything, including mobile in the future.
No problem homie, hope you enjoy the game as I have.
Hope you enjoy it bros
See
What is a good source for pirating games?
Moar games that will never be steamed?
I honestly don't mind, if this will help it get a sequel that in my opinion would probably address flaws this game has, then I'm all for it. I know my brother will probably buy this.
user, switch is ps5 gen.
It's the only game that will ever be functional because nobody's putting any effort into making anything else playable
False flagging as a PC player hey Sony boi ?
Glad more people get to play it. I know the lack of meaningful story interactions isn't for everyone, but I enjoyed the concept of each person having their own goals without a lot of forced party bonding. The optional banter is a nice break on the side and it's fun to test out different character combinations and interactions.
>4-4k
>T-the world's most powerful console...
Imagine playing this game on a $2000 PC. Literally like trying to enjoy Tetris on a PC.
Some games are best played portable.
It's boring and I want my money back.
Been a Nintenbro for all my life, and always had a decent PC along with my Nintendo console. Also had PS1, 2 and 3 kek
PC ALWAYS WINS
>b-b-but sony
Rent free
>nintendo gets port
>P-P-P-PORT BEGGING!
>anyone else gets nintendo port
>AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SUCK IT NINTENBROS!
?
I liked this game but they should've kept each of the 8 characters stories as individual stories
As it is right now, the characters don't interact with each other at all in the game, except for some optional skits
What they should've done is make each character be alone in their own story, recruiting side characters in each chapter. For exemple, Tressa could've been joined by Mikk & Makk, Captain Leon or Ali, in order to make a full party of 4 characters to play her 4 chapters. All of these character could've had an important part and great interactions with eachother. They shoul'd ve done this for each of the 8 travelers, make the side characters who joined previously return to their usual occupations after chapter 4, and THEN make the 8 main characters join together in the quest to defeat Galdera. It would've made so much more sense
I bought the Switch 1 month ago and the only advantage it has are Nintendo games. Otherwise it's just an overpriced garbage with worse and overpriceds versions of the same games.
And the controller is a piece of shit. And the pro controller costs $80 and it's also a piece of shit.
>Sweeping generalization
Lol.
Obsessed.
It's only bad when Nintendo does it, remember?
PC and more often than not PS4/Xbone are superior versions of games. No one cares when a new port is a downgrade.
>Port for switch: SUCK IT PORTENDIES
>Switch game ported: SUCK IT, YOU GOT A BETA
Why are nintendo haters so retarded?
Keep saying it.
>No one cares
?
Nintendo's been all about exclusives for decades now, no one gives a fuck about third party support on Nintendo consoles.
> trusting square-enix with PC ports
> in B4 the pc port runs like trash with frequent crashes
> they will probably charge $60 for it.
Did you guys forget how Nier/Secret of Mana PC ports turned out?
