Do you still play Call of Duty?
Why / Why not?
Do you still play Call of Duty?
Why / Why not?
No.
I didn't enjoy Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops 2. Those were the last 2 I played by either dev, and they only doubled down on what I didn't like about them from there on.
no
because I dont like their season pass policy so I didnt buy it
$60 should get you the full game, not half of it
Last one I bought/played was Black Ops, and only because I was in college and played regularly with friends. Since then, the series has just gotten worse.
Only the Treyarch and Sledgehammer titles. Infinity Ward never recovered after Zampella and West left.
i buy them on sale and play the story if it looks interesting, don't care much for the online or zombie stuff. bo3 and infinite warfare was a fun time to play through, sad that bo4 ditched the story content
No
There are no more good maps designs. Literally every map in BO4 is a 3 way map. Plus zombies is shit now and the game has too much DLC. 2 season passes, a battle pass, and loot boxes are outrageous in a $60 game.
wait what? bo4 has two season passes? i know bo3 had the season pass and then that retro zombie map pack sold as a different pass but that was old maps. is bo4 doing the same thing?
There's a rumor of a second season of zombies.
god dam that's pathetic. i'm so glad that isn't something i have to put up with.
Only Treyarch games and even then it's only for the Zombies mode
I play it because I have friends that do. I never liked battle royal but after being pestered to give blackout a try i'm enjoying it. the modified rules in hot pursuit I think make all the difference for me.
No. I absolutely did not give a shit about another World War 2 game so I skipped WW2 and Black Ops 4 felt like a step back from Black Ops 3. I liked Treyarch's crazy campaigns and I liked the boost jets and wall-running. I don't give a shit about Blackout. Stuff like the Black Ops Pass in conjunction with aggressive microtransactions just kind of sucks. Feels like Activision really rubbed their dick all over this one chasing trends and every form of shitty monetization they could, and that's unfortunate, because Treyarch can make a pretty good FPS. See what Infinity War has this year, I guess, but I'm not expecting anything.
One thing I don't get about this series is why so many fans are obsessed with the series going backwards. The fast, jumpy futuristic gameplay was fun. Why did you wanna give all that up to go back to slow, boring-ass World War 2 shit.
I tend to play COD 4 Remastered online on PS4 for my COD fix, if i play Black Ops 4 I usually only play Blackout.
I keep an xbone around to play black ops and modern warfare remastered from time to time.
I still play black ops 4, and I've been enjoying it. I played black ops 1 and 3 - 1 had got to be my favorite in the series. Good campaign, and I remember just doing a shit ton of multiplayer with my friends every night back in high school.
I'm not such a fan of where Activision is taking black ops 4 today, though. The entire game feels like it's money-grubbing. At least they come out with frequent patches - wish that there was a more consistent pc player base though
I got Modern Warfare free during the first month ever I had PS Plus, in Feb. I don't have many Platinums, but I platted the game. Barely touched Multiplayer though. I started one game, instantly got hit with an e-shop where they wanted me to purchase coins for microtransactions, then finally got into a game and the map was Christmas themed and every time I died I turned into presents. Haven't played it since. Horse shit.
Stopped because it was frustrating knowing people couldn't see my emblems I pours dozens of hours into making
Titanfall does everything CoD can do better and more
Why can't they see your emblems?
I just got Titanfall 2 for $7.50 on sale on PSN. I liked the single player campaign.
Only WAW and BO1/2/3, mostly for zombies but i play through WAW's campaign once in a while.
No, I haven't liked any since BO2, they haven't innovated like they did with that one and they've all had less content compared to BO2 as well.
HOHOHOHOHO
bought it for blackout, now that Apex is out and does everything better theres no reason to play it
You've been able to see enemy emblems for months user.
I downloaded the Blackout free month, works like shit in my pc and is worse in every aspect to Apex, played 2 matches and uninstalled that shit.
Black ops 4 is completely ruined by kiketivision going overboard on monetizing every aspect of the game. Usually I really enjoy the season pass, but the fact that they forced it on players this time if you wanted /ANY/ DLC was really messed up. None of the DLC was worth it, zombies is convoluted and no longer fun. The MP is fun and barebones has been the best addition to the game. Blackout is alright for a few matches, wish they would change it up a bit more with maps.
Treyarch really dropped the ball with this one honestly. Black ops 3 was so much fun and I couldnt stop playing, this one is hard to pick up after not playing for a while. Shame.
No. I just play CoD4 remastered because its the closest thing to playing CoD4 on console with a healthy population.
I was a CoD kiddy back in the mid 2000's and collected the main titles from CoD1 to Black Ops 1. MW2 was actually a huge disappointment to me because I felt like it departed the reality-focused gameplay of the old series. By the time Black Ops 1 came around, the writing was on the wall that every title was going to be derivative, so I stopped playing them.
CoD4 was the best CoD.
MW2 was the peak of the series as a community experience.
Black Ops 1 was the last in the line of good CoDs.
Black Ops 2 was the last good CoD.
No because I'm a retard who keeps buying them on PC when I know damn well they will only have enough Brazilians for one single TDM server after the first week so I literally can not play them.
A little bit, a couple MP or Blackout matches and I'm done for the day. Usually I'd mostly play Zombies but man the Chaos story maps and characters are awful. I'm just waiting for the next Aether map at this point. Unless it's in that rumored 2nd season pass then nope I'm done.
Loved blops3 for the zombie shit. It got. Me back into it then I fell straight back out again with blops4, just feels soulless.
I stopped playing forever right after I encountered lootcrate specific guns in black ops 3. Line was crossed.
It's important to have standards, and to stick to those standards. Good for you. I do the same thing.
The multiplayer follows the same basic formula as CoD of plain fun with not much to tryhard with but at least has a decent learning curve even if the skill ceiling is low and a whole lot of dumb but fun off meta weapons that are incredibly satisfying to learn and use.
I also love how the hipfire works in the game, you really don't have to ADS unless you're playing with the shitter kits.
I keep falling for this as well hoping this year it'll be different.
I'm on and off. I liked Infinite and Advanced Warfare for the Single Player aspects at least but I couldnt get into WW2 and hated the fuck out of Black Ops 4. I have no idea how anyone consider Treyarch the "A" CoD team now when that is the laziest release I've seen.
