I stopped using my meme mechanical keyboard. expensive and ugly clickity clack memes I tell ya.
switched to a wireless rubber dome in stead.
>pc gaming
Yikes
Some corsair piece of shit with brown switches I got for 45 bucks. It's actually pretty great, it was marked incorrectly. Only gripe is the spacebar is stupid loose and sounds like ass. Does anyone know of a replacement spacebar that would sound cleaner or something I can do to tone down how shitty the spacebar is?
Yes, I'm sure someone knows how to fix your random piece of shit keyboard.
motospeed ck104
Gaming companies use the cheapest chinese stabilizers they can find because their audience don't know what real cherry stabilizers are like. Unfortunately I think corsair use plate mount so you would have to desolder every switch in order to pop the chink stabilizers and replace them.
ibm model m13
Where can I find a reasonably priced mechanical keyboard that doesn't look like a space ship?
ikbc something something 87 on reds.
Is there any good keyboard with usb3 hub built-in?
>getting a compact keyboard with only arrow key section
Why do people do this? You realise that if you get a numpad keyboard you can switch between the two right?
G413 Carbon. It's pretty sweet.
I actually have that keyboard on top. HyperX is pretty solid.
I also have a mouse from them that I like because it doesn't look like a space ship, but it does have programmable buttons.
Their logic is that they don't use the numpad so why have it. For me I actually don't even use the nav cluster and prefer something like this leopold or the cooler master
iKBC CD108, satisfying Cherry MX Blues without the tacky RGB lighting that most other boards in its price range have.
Yeah I sup
Ah, I see I see. All the other keys feel great, it's just the three bits under the spacebar. I kinda wanna just glue the damn thing together. It's this one:
corsair.com
I'm not unhappy, considering I paid 45 bucks for it, but if I could do anything about this spacebar I really want to.
old dell keyboard I've had since 1995 as a kid.
I will never understand how some people never use the numpad. Especially in games in which you have a lot of keys that you're able to bind, the numpad is perfect for that. Moreover, alt-codes are something really cool I often use
redragon kumara
what's with this "00"-key?
not really a fan of the font on the keys but it's damn nice to type on, love that clack
fug
I use numpad for OBS hotkeys. I rarely make webms anymore, but Risk of Rain 2 came out and it's fun to make webms of that game. Problem is that this is a new build and I haven't been up to legally acquiring adobe suite.
It's placed awkwardly if the numpad standard was on the left it would be fine but for gaming it takes up the space for mouse movement.
who /red/ here?
Mechanical, no frills, relatively inexpensive.
Your desk or your shoulders are narrow as hell.
replace stabilizers with good ones.
Blue switch, went with LED because for some reason it was cheaper than ones without, might get one of those modular ones designed for tills and specialized hardware just for the macros
It puts in two 0s. I don't know why.
$20 acer from over 10 years ago
K70 RGB Rapidfire.
I’m used to it now but I still think it’s a wee bit too sensitive for my liking. But I’m not going to change it up unless it stops working.
Something normal, without LEDs because I don't need to look at the fucking keyboard while I type like a retard.
For me, it's the DSA Hana. The cutest mechanical keyboard keycaps.
need the numpad baby
looks Easter flavored
Deutschland über alles
Why? Are you an accountant?
>while I type like a retard
You mean like when you post?
Just turn the LEDs off.
Keyboards without number pads are for manlets
the bottom of OP with Reds- since it was fucking cheap and on sale. Replaced an old board browns.
Had to file down the right keycaps bottom edges since they're cheap and had sharp edges that would catch your fingers.
Browns are fucking garbage. Mushy trash that feels just like a cheap membrane keyboard. Get reds/blacks.
Why even have LEDs to begin with? You're not 11 years old, are you?
What the fuck is wrong with your picture?
ghosting isn't very good for your keyboard
Will never switch it out, best keyboard I've owned yet. If it fails, I will just buy another one.
anyone tried analog keyboard?
I want to know how the heck it works, does it emulate D or Xinput?
best combo
This one
A Logitech G413. It works, it's compact and I like it.
G610 browns
stolen from the office?
i use this one with brown switches, i was using the logitech g15 before that. the g15 was basically unbreakable, unlike the g710+. i broke my left ctrl keycap three times within the first year. this is the first and only input device i ever broke. the keycaps are utter trash, but at least logitech sent me new ones (entire QWERTZ set) for free.
i've been using the current and last replacement ctrl key for about a year without any issues.
i'm not sure if i'm unconsiously more careful or if the new keycaps are sturdier than the originals (doubt it).
if the keycaps weren't so shitty, i'd be very satisfied with the g710+, but this will probably the last logitech keyboard i'll own.
ducky shine dk-9800
really old by now
green LEDs
straightforward no nonsense
however i have browns and i fucking hate them. used to have blacks, got sick of mis-hitting some
i need money first bc i wanna upgrade my gpu, but i really want cherry mx blues
blues are so much better for FPS
hardwarezone.com.sg
roguelikes silly
Wooting Two once they get them back in stock.
£7.99 four years ago
Have fun with your tryhard Fisher Price bollocks
how much?
I literally have the one at the top
Pretty comfortable and very easy to clean
bet you use that with an alienware
or uses asus motherboards and cases
>_tesco
not surprised
K360
Just stick some super glue inside the parts that touch the stabilizers. You'll never be able to get the spacebar out again without fucking up the stabilizers, but at least it won't be randomly popping out of the switch anymore.
I'll do that myself once I figure out how to not forget to buy super glue when shopping.
EVGA 1080 hybrid, ROG Strix MB, NZXT Phantom case. Have never had problems with my PC, runs every game on Max at ~115 fps
Based 1800 layout
It's so fucking good bros.
I have the tenkeyless Hyperx one. It's pretty good.
I've had/have like 6 or 7 mech keyboards at this point and I didn't really dislike any except one with chinese knock off switches. Some people claim those chinese switches are the same as Cherry ones but that's bullshit.
Das Keyboard is not actually German.
$140
You are all weak men.
Sort of. It was just extra so thought that might as well take it and use.
Ducky Shine 6. Browns. Feels good.
>ROG Strix MB
link to their website?
thank you
i see you're a man of culture
Logitech K120, 12 bucks
I tried some mechanical ones a couple friends have, they're better, but i quickly forget about it when i go back to mine, so i dont really feel any need for a better one
It was an impulse buy a few years ago, but the overclock potential is pretty sick. It has an X series chipset, and I have a Skylake installed in it right now, but I don't know how I feel about it vs the top of the line i7s

Its almost 10 years old and still the best keyboard ever made.
cool, so i can swap out switches too if i want their version of blues later on instead of analog
looks awesome
this weeb board i put together myself
The cheapest I could find in the local supermarket. Bought 10 of them 5 years ago.
On the 3rd right now. If they get too sticky or something else I just throw em out.
Buying expensive "muh mechanic keyboard" is a fucking meme and you should stop emberassing yourself, You're not better then audiophile fags spending fortune for "better" sound quality.
That one on top
>Especially in games in which you have a lot of keys that you're able to bind, the numpad is perfect for that
I don't play gay MMOs
>Alt codes
Copy-paste
What's wrong with ricing things up
>no numpad
>best
Some thing that came with one of my parent's pre-built desktops about 2 decades ago. Hasn't given up on me yet.
Massdrop CTRL. Switches are the best I’ve ever felt and QMK is fun, but god damn those magnetic feet are fucking trash
You can do stuff with this in games most people will think you are cheating.
Model M baby, only the best
>load up gMod once
>never use a keyboard without numpad again
mechanical keyboards are cheap as fuck and offer n-key rollover, tactile feedback when typing, better typing ergonomics, and other shit, they're in no way comparable to spending thousands of dollars on crystals and cables newfag
g15 logitech. been using it for just over 10 years now.
>not having a separated MECHANICAL numpad
>not using it like keyboard / mouse / numpad
>not using it like numpad / keyboard / mouse
Pleb.
i feel this is chinese sweatshop shit that will break fast from just the way they advertise it on their site
>2kro
Literally never been an issue
what?
sneed
you don't crouch strafe jump?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
man i want to visit chinkland to buy a whole bunch of keyboards
fuck my autism
my nigga
Post bussy.
>crouch strafe jumping in 2019
u better be a cute cute girl or I will find you and punch you in the face
Moving extremely slowly when aiming. Other people might look at it like wtf.
>being ironic and posting other setups
>posting from a microsoft phone
The gayest thing about this image is the Funko Pop
I recently bought a Razer Cynosa Chroma for £56
Only underage people have lights on their keyboard.
Imagine being such a manlet you don't have the arm span for a full sized keyboard.
If the numpad was on the left, I wouldn't have bothered getting a tenkeyless.
I have a giant ass mouse pad and use low sensitivity. Lets my arms be in a more natural position with WASD+mouse.
I'll eventually get a standalone numpad and put it on the left of my keyboard, just really haven't ever needed it. Even playing X3 and X4, I can also do modifiers to layer in more functionality to my existing keys, which is faster than reaching over to the numpad anyways.
>fifty bucks for a non-mechanical keyboard
lel
Code WASD 87 blues
I saw it in a shop once and it feels very good
I'm not a fan of loud keys
I also have a big foot but it has 2kro
I use 15 years old logitech and it feels much better than mecmemes. Its easy to wash and it will never ever break
Fight me
Not all mechanical keyboards use black or blue switches you dumbass.
ducky one 2 tkl rgb
I don't care if they use black and yellow switches, I prefer non-mechanical
won't they just think you're using a gamepad?
rubber dome or scissor will always be more silent than mech
that said he should be embarassed for admitting to buying a razer product
>there is only one type of mechanical switch
same. Gaming keyboards like all ''gaming'' products, are huge scams. I think only audiophiles are worse when it comes to buying useless crap for insane prices
a shit one that my brother gave me
These keyboard are always stolen, just wish I could find and buy a new one with the good dome keys, not the shitty model.
i got a mx brown full size mech off a newegg sale for $50 - cooler master - lasted a number of years till i switched to a corsair strafe and glaive combo
Topre, clears, ergo clears, zealios, kailh royals and pretty much every non-clicky low profile mech switches are as quiet as any rubber dome. Specially if you use orings or silencing clips from GMK / Zeal.
I dont understand how you fucks deal with the extreme CLICKITY CLACK CLICK CLACK mechanical keyboards give off
I used my friends PC who has one for about half an hour and didnt want to touch they keyboard because of that racket
This bad boy
...
An old g610 I found from goodwill for 5 dollars. God bless the retarded...
>implying
I can hear the difference between flack and 128 easily
BASED FILCO
Lol I stole one of those. Broke in 2 years. That's when I went full mechanical and never looked back.
behold. My favorite keyboard of all time
I have a mechanical keyboard with LED backlighting. However, I have it for very different reasons than most. I bought mechanical not for the “advantages” and less input lag, but simply because I like the loud CLICK CLACKS. I got backlighting (set to white) just so I can still see the keys in the dark.
Was the prostate cancer pills really necessary
>simply because I like the loud CLICK CLACKS
Everyone loves click clacks. Though I do also enjoy the feeling of actually typing more than the typical rubber keyboard.
Why everything in english then
>prostate cancer
that's a tranny you're replying to.
you can get it in any layout you want, even german
>Does anyone know of a replacement spacebar that would sound cleaner or something I can do to tone down how shitty the spacebar is?
I pm'd you the fix
This bad boy with cherry mx browns
Feels incredibly good to type with, buttons have just the right amount of grip, just right amount of resistance, feels incredibly sturdy, thick fucking braided cables that are impossible to bend and break, thick brushed aluminium cover, non-invasive red LED's that can be toned down or turned off completely and a comfortable wrist rest
Best god damn keyboard I've ever experienced and when eventually this one breaks, I'll buy me another one.
That font is fucking atrocious
Those are bicalutamide tablets though? For treating prostate cancer, why does that make it a tranny?
Yeah, I just noticed that is the "LUX" version, mine is regular, font might also change because of the EU layout with the buttons Ä, Ö and Å being present.
>I don't play gay MMOs
It isn't just MMOs, but a lot of games. Garry's Mod, modded Minecraft, etc. all have a lot of keys you're able to bind and which you pretty much have to bind in order to play it more smoothly.
>Copy-paste
desu just remembering a couple of alt codes for certain characters you use a lot or just creating a layout with them inside feels a lot more intuitive than having a text file with all of the characters you use which you then have to copy and paste.
This one but I kind of regret it now seeing as how the price has dropped by like 50% since I bought it. I do dig it though for what it is.
I have this ducky with cherry black
I'd say more tech illiterate elderly people are more likely to actually like and use LED backlighting than 11 year old kids since they tend to not be able to touch type and look at the keyboard way more.
G213, like it a lot
How can you need more shortcuts than there are unused buttons on a TKL keyboard? I don't play any games that need 10+ additional buttons for shortcuts.
And why are you using special characters so much? If I need one I can just copy and paste it, and I've only needed that very rarely.
The g910 spectrum and this doesn't have of the edgy aesthetics from the spark version and the romer-g keys functions very similar to mx browns
Do you know why it's called the "spectrum"?
>worse version of already terrible switches
Why?
>not buying a ton of "broken" keyboards for the same price of 1 brand new, fix them and keep the ones you like or sell them to the kids and salvage the switches from the ones actually dead and use them on nice projects or customizing the ones you like
I have fixed tons of razer shitboards, corsair, hyperx and many more, currently waiting for a teensy for my quickfire handwired project
masterkeys pro l, i'm thinking of selling it because i hate mechanical keyboards. i won it in a raffle from my local electronics retailer.
What happened to the tab key?
>not using chad keyboard
I have a cheap Chinese mechanical keyboard and it's surprisingly one of the best I've ever owned. The switches are completely swappable and when I was buying it, it had a bunch of options, I went with blue switches. It came with a bunch of replacement switches too.
You're probably on the spectrum you dumb carlos poster.
Like clockwork. Guess you are on the far end of the spectrum
as a fat person I want my keyboard to be as large as possible. Those tiny keyboards in laptops are unbearable
why would you not want a numpad? asking for a friend.
You do understand that keycap size does not change between keyboards, right? WASD keys are the same size on 40% keyboards and fullsized ones.
Its comfy
the space between keys can change. And having space between the cluster of arrow keys, the main letter keys, and the numpad gives me more space to not accidentally hit keys with my fat hands
>you will never have a gf/bf to sit in your lap and type while you hold the mouse and separated numpad
GMMK TKL is my bae
It came like that
I have this exact keyboard with red switches.
Based
Imagine paying more than $20 for a keyboard
