impossible
Impossible
not literally? i'm proud of you.
1) firecrackers rape him in phase 1
2) hit his neck with the spear in phase 2
3) umbrella nullifies scream in phase 2
All in all, dodge in phase 1 and deflect in phase 2.
Sprint nonstop, wait for his attacks to finish and hit him once and back off. Repeat for 15 minutes and you win
>literally shits and farts on casuals
based
based, truly a breath of fresh air after souls
If DSP can beat a souls game so can you user.
Why would you do that, though? All of his attacks except the jumping grab are easy to deflect or side step
Git gud shitter
Imagine being so bad that you have to resort to this
How can I get there? Or I need to beat Owl first?
Yes, I too ignore core game mechanics Abba just sprint around to kill the boss 50x slower
>impossible
OP, Guardian Ape fight is one of the best in From's history. Enjoy.
I was telling the OP how to win if he really finds the ape hard. It’s actually one of the easier bosses
Just keep progressing the story.
>mfw there's another guardian ape fight in that big open cave after poison pool but this time he's got a buddy
>mfw i beat it in 2 tries
I remember a lot of people saying "pretend it's a dark souls boss!", so I tried that and got my anus reamed
Then I decided to just face him like a normal boss and I cleared it with little issue. A few tips
>his standing grab is technically a sweep, jump over it
>firecrackers work well in phase 1
>in phase 2, deflecting the big overhead swing stuns him, letting you get a lot of free hits in
>if you have trouble running from the scream, use the umbrella or feather
Ok.
>buddy
Wife.
I beat him with nothing but Kusabimaru
still better than the bull
Do the impossible
2nd fight is way easier than the first.
It may have 2 apes but both of them are severely gimped in literally every aspect compared to the single fight
Who the fuck had trouble with the bull
I walked in there expecting to be walled because of everyone complaining about it, I walked out a minute later hardly scathed. I just deflected everything and threw firecrackers.
The hell? I didn't expect him to go down just like that.
>see videos and threads of people getting filtered by this guy
>finally reach him
>beat him in 2 tries
Aside fro Gyoubu, that was the easiest boss fight in this game so far. His attacks are slow and have huge wind-up.
how do I fix my problem of not using prosthetics because "what if I need it later" I beat the game already but only used them when I absolutely needed to even though I have a shit ton of spirit emblems
They aren’t really needed. I never used the special sword styles either
it definitely felt that way. Only issue was that terror bullshit can be awkward to avoid in the smaller space
wasn't the wife long dead? only the white ape was immortal.
it was the fight that forced me to git gud. rest of the game has been a relative breeze since learned how to comfortably beat the ape.
Maybe a new one? If you go to where the little monkey and money sake are, there's an ape corpse, with fur and bones. He probably looks for new mate after the previous one dies.
None of the bosses are impossible. They may not feel fair when you first play them, but the fact that you're an immortal who can try endlessly and only needs to punch through that wall once automatically balances a lot of bullshit. Every single boss in this game kicked my ass hard the first time. With every boss, I genuinely thought they were unfair and impossible until I beat them. I spent days fighting Sword Saint and honestly considered cheating just to beat him. The only thing that stopped me was the thought of how hollow that "victory" would be. The bosses are tough as nails, but fair.
And you know what, with every boss there was a moment when it all finally clicked and the tide instantly turned. Suddenly, I'm deflecting and driving the boss back, building posture damage faster and faster. When I finally beat the Sword Saint I beat the shit out of him, BTFO Genichiro and blasted through all 3 phases of Isshin with 6 gourds to spare. It was wild and the adrenaline rush was crazy. I was just deflecting EVERYTHING he threw at me. I went from running away to chasing that fucker down and dominating his wrinkly zombie ass.
no one is mentioning the fact that if you keep beating his legs or his head he gets stunned like a bloodborne beast and you can keep beating the shit out of him until he rolls back and run away, instead everyone suggests to hit and run wich makes the fight last forever
the camera and lockon system are awful and make the game even harder than it should be
Just get Emma down there to distract him
>it was the fight that forced me to git gud
For me that was Seven Ashina Spears. Spent a good 2, maybe 3 hours on that shit before I got him, haven't had nearly as much issue with any enemy or boss since.
new god of war lookin good
aint this the monkey bakki ripped an eye out of. looks the same
>very single boss in this game kicked my ass hard the first time.
wow you suck
>ith every boss, I genuinely thought they were unfair and impossible until I beat them. I spent days fighting Sword Saint and honestly considered cheating just to beat him.
woooooooooow you suck
That's because Seven Ashina Spears forces you to actually time your mikiri counters. You can't just spam the button as soon as the icon pops up. You have to watch him and time it. You also can't just circle around him. His posture regens so fast you have to be aggressive and get in there. Deflecting his spear sweeps is good training as well. It takes a little bit to get the timing down, but after you learn the lessons he's there to teach you, you're much better prepared for all future enemies.
those sois wish they made games this interesting
I beat him without prosthetic, because I could never be bothered to learn how to use it throughout the game because every move always felt like it took too long
i was using mikiri counters as much as possible before that fight because it's so satisfying so i was well prepared for that fight.
>How can I get there? Or I need to beat Owl first?
You just need to get all the stuff to smell like a 2000 yearold loli then come back.
Owl 2 is easier than Owl 1.
where do you fight owl2
finished the game fighting once
i was so fucking godly yesterday, i can literally beat 1st phase rape ape without taking a hit and without using any tools and i almost always beat 2nd phase ape for like an hour straight
>be today
i fucking lost that 1st phase rape ape skill and i literally receive every hit he makes with arms wide open
>Owl 2 is easier than Owl 1.
Only thing I've ever used consistently is the shuriken, which is why I've got the lapis shuriken first.
Kills dogs and monkeys in 1 hit and also a great gap closer with chase slash.
can i do that fight by doing the return ending? i think that's what i'm heading towards?
I don't have to because I am this bad
Process on purification ending give you another bell so you can fight younger Owl.
Yes you can. Ending only happen when you feed Kuro key items in the end.
based
The fuck just happened?
also
>not taking the plunge attack
Having the bulls ram into walls basically auto fills the posture bar, had it happen to me in NG+ as well
I would have to agree in a way, you've already learned most of what his 1st phase will do and his 2nd is a joke. Hurr durr I throw owl and thrust every 10 secs OMG you mikiried me again lol
>3) umbrella nullifies scream in phase 2
didnt know this thanks
>too young to post here: the post
must be rough not even being 18 and already knowing you're doomed to a life of incel mediocrity. consider swallowing 100 tylenols, ok?
Lol he mad!
>mfw I beat rape ape on first try
>mfw I also beat optional double rape apes on first try
I've barely touched the souls series but this game just clicks for me in every way.
Git gud soulsniggers.
I died so many times to him, but when I found him again and the partner I did it on my frist try because the partner just killed itself after I ripped out the bug. I was very pleased with myself.
