What game

>have be all end all badass weapon that can destroy anything in a few attacks
>character is still using base weapon in cutscenes

Destiny did this but at least they make sense if it. If a gaurdians ghost is killed, and then they die, they die forever. Otherwise dying for any guardian is just no big deal, and even encouraged at times for training and stuff.

Everyone else that doesn't have a ghost though is fucked.

Borderlands 2 comes to mind.

Well Borderlands 2 off the top of my head

>If a gaurdians ghost is killed, and then they die, they die forever.
But the player didn't have a ghost in the beginning, did it?

>Play Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem.
>Is actually very fun.
>Wonder if it has Lola Bunny.
>It does.
>Is the cringe new looney tunes version.
>MFW
What is wrong with using the Space Jam Lola Bunny?! Why they have to only use this annoying version of her?! They even have the nerve of putting the "original" mark on her!

>what is gameplay and story segregtion

>first game is a down to earth, comfy adventure
>shit gets real in the sequel

space jam lola has nothing interesting going on about her

looney tunes show lola is actually entertaining past generic boner fuel. she was actually one of my favorite characters besides Daffy

REMINDER
NEW-U STATIONS ARE UNCANNON
THEY ONLY EXIST FOR GAMEPLAY

They did

No, she is not. She is annoying and creepy, I am talking about Elvira levels of annoying (BTW, are they going to put tiny tunes in world of mayhem someday? Right now there is a placeholder for a new area, which means more Characters) have you noticed she is gone from the new looney tunes cartoon?

FF7

THAT is you "role"

There are two quotes by the machine referencing it as "Non-Canon"
Anthony Burch also said it was non-canon.
I think it's just supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek sort of thing.
That being said, I really don't understand why Borderlands felt the need to become so melodramatic. Of all the cool shit you could've done, just shooting a non-character with a handgun is the best they could do? What the fuck.
Why were the cast from BL even the main characters of BL2, anyway? I mean I get it, narratively, but why couldn't they be playable? Why would you introduce a gameplay loop that isn't explixitly designed or balanced for your player's skillsets, but then actively REMOVE four of those sets with each new iteration of the game.
Fucking Randy, you recycling cunt. Don't
think I don't see the laziness in your skill trees rife with damage modifiers. This shit is just The Division with a blueballs version of Mad Max, in spaaaaaaaaace.

this shit was a main thing in Scrapland:
basically everyone was a robot and their current memory was uploaded into the matrix, which, when you died respawned you into a new body with the same memory if you had a matrix canister (extra life) these canisters of course could be bought for money (you could pay the robo-bishops)
So in the story when you had to kill someone for good, you had to travel to the matrix to delet their memory there and make them unable to respawn after killing them

Randy said that it wasn't canon
I know its retarded but Randy is Randy

>rpg
>characters die all the time in battle
>dozens of revival spells/items
>character gets killed by enemy off screen
>can't be revived

WOW does this. Hell they have several in world means of resurrection, yet faction leaders get killed by a stab wound.

Didn't Bioshock have something similar with the reviving chambers? I think it was tied to the genetic code of the individual?

Dark Souls and fucking everyone except Chosen Undead.

The Bathyspheres were tied to Ryan and his close allies, the Vita Chambers to Ryan only. Fontaine used Jack because he was Ryan's son and thus could use both. In 2 iirc Tenenbaum rewires the Vita Chambers to Delta's DNA to help him

Hey at least they tried in FFV

>Elvira levels of annoying
Elvira is awesome though.

Revive skills and items are for KO not death. But then you have DQ where characters actually die.

I need to rewatch this show real fucking soon

It's a shame that it was disliked for not being classic looney tunes. It was fucking great.

I definitely remember some really funny gags in it despite not always having slapstick. One of the better Looney Tunes spinoff shows alongside the 2003 Duck Dodgers if you ask me

It wasn't just a cartoon. It was a sitcom drawn like a cartoon with looney toons characters. I guess it wasn't liked enough but it was so damn funny. Lola Bunny was one of my favorites.

for the most part only PCs can be resurrected because there's a group of rogue val'kyr that intercede on their behalf to stop Helya or Bwonsamdi from taking their souls as soon as they die

>FFXIV
>HP to 0 puts you at the "brink of death"
>Reviving spells describe themselves as returning you from the "brink of death"
>Story character is at the brink of death
>Can't use revive somehow

>any side character can be resurrected for a fee
>if the main character dies you instantly lose
fuck Baldur's Gate and fuck niggers

BEHOLD THE WIZARD
