Has there ever been a game so hard you just gave up? For me it was Comix Zone but I've not tried in awhile.

I can't 1CC a Touhou game.
People use the earplug thing on the controller?
Had my PS4 for years and only used in once because a dude in the MHW Beta used vc.
Same.
Which ones?
And how long were you trying?
Tell uncle user your problems.
I've never played a multiplayer game on my PS4 so I've never used it personally. Surround sound works for me
Touhou 6. The goal was to start at the beginning of the Windows games and 1CC until the end. But I couldn't even do the first one. It's been like 6 years and I can't even beat Meiling without losing a life.
Do you bomb? You can sacrifice a bomb or two if you have trouble micrododging there.
And don't abandon runs, you gotta practice for later bosses or they will skin you alive. For some other tips, Reimu A will let you worry completely about dodging with her constant damage, good for practicing. Keep your eyes above your character so you know what to prepare for and dodge, and don't get greedy with points, you should get all the bonus lives if you collect only in safe breaks.
Bomb management is key, you can skip most cards with correctly placed bombs. You only ever really fail if you die with bombs in stock.
I probably need to step up my bomb game then. Do you get more bombs later? The only extra bomb I've gotten so far is from the stage 2 midboss so I tend to save them. If I do start using them, I generally overdo it.
If I'm not playing with Marisa & Iilusion Laser then the game isn't even fun to me.
Terraria on hardcore, but goddamn It was one of the best experiences I had
Well then you're in luck since Marisa B's bomb is the most powerful. She also has pretty powerful normal attack.
Yeah you get bombs, some enemies drop them on death on later stages. Most importantly, you get extra lives, and that's another 2 bombs to use. Just make sure you don't die with anything in stock, if you do you lose all those bombs.
Think of them as your safety nets, you use if you think you're gonna get hit and can't dodge anywhere. There may be some bullet traps like this. They also deal a lot of damage to bosses so a good tactic for tough cards is to dodge the initial volley, use, and sit below boss, to maximize damage. On Marisa B especially they die before the next wave reaches you. Also you can get right in the bosses' face to "shotgun" your bullets initially or after a bomb.
Another thing, you can autocollect everything on screen if you go to the top of the screen with full power, that's where most of your points and extra lives come from. Just be careful not to run into a bullet or a fairy's hug.
there are occasional bomb item drops, but you get more bombs by getting more lives (which is easy since you rack up score by going to the auto collect line often)
these edits are so goddamn funny, I love them
killer is dead
it wasn't hard. the button mashing segment at the end was just too much. I tried 50 times and couldn't butt mash enough to defeat the "qte"
Baba is You genuinely made me believe im a retard
I still play it but I have given up on completion
I just got a new highscore on my warm up run so I'm feeling good. I'll try practice bombs.
I didn't know you got bombs with the extra lives. Must not be paying enough attention. I never knew about this auto collect thing either. So that's cool to learn.
6 Can't even beat it on normal
Comix Zone too at the time but I retried a few years ago and this time I beat it
Also pretty much every Touhou game
I got Lagoon for the SNES when I was like 6 years old, and got all the way to Thor's final stage boss fight. I didn't beat it until I was 17.

Contra 4
Don't feel bad
Remember you're only casual if you give up.
I couldn't beat the final boss of Drakengard 3, I just have no rhythm.
The Witness gets too difficult for my tiny brain near the end when all the puzzles become thinky instead of gimmicky.
one more thing, point items (blue) value is determined on your vertical position, the higher on the screen the better. They are only worth 10% when collected at the bottom and maximum value when you autocollect or collect at the top (see the yellow number).
But when you bomb every item is drawn to you, and when you're near the bottom you lose out on points. So if possible, when items are in the air, use bombs when you're relatively high on the screen. Also, bombs cancelling enemy bullets also give significant score.
I had more trouble with the final boss of D1.
Thanks user.
As long as I live I have the chance.
Really? You can see everything coming and input way in advance though. I could almost beat that fight blind.
It's the final stretch. Took me about 3 weeks. I beat D3 in about an hour.
Well ain't that some shit. I beat D1 boss in about an hour, tried D3's every day for a week and gave up.
Why's the text backwards
Well, D3's ending was worth it. D1's ending wasn't. That said, you have youtube today, and it wasn't so popular back then, so it kind of evens out.
Learn to death bomb, just when you're about to die, when you're hearing the death sound you have a little moment to bomb and save your ass.
I did in an hour, too. Heh.
I can't even beat a Touhou game on normal.
I use it because you can make it so all of the audio comes through it which I prefer, and my headphones' lead is too short to get to the TV, so it's better to just put in the controller.
>I Wanna Be The Guy
I might have been able to finish it but I hate platformers for the most part so I had no drive to really do it.
>Crusader Kings 2
While not difficult in the normal sense, I lack the brain power to remember everything to even play this.
jojo is only good for memes. The show doesn't make sense and the battles are stupid
Yes, Nioh. I just was not in the mood for this consistent retrying to progress further and further. It sucked the fun out of the game.
Same. I must have died like 100 times on the bat lady boss so that kind of soured my impression of the game. Ended up tapping out at Umibouzu because I was just getting sick of the difficulty in general. The game was fun but it really shouldn't have been that difficult.
Metal Slug 3's final mission ended up breaking me because how much of a COLOSSAL BITCH it is to get all the way up to the mothership just to try not to get fucked over by the aliens and those fucking green rings with erratic patterns.
Fuck the person who thought it was a good idea to make 1 mission the length of 3.
i guess it's a meme at this point, but i gave up whle playing Darkest dunegon, and i have made peace with the fact i will never end it
The first two bosses of Nioh are silly hard because the game hasn't given you a chance to correctly build your gear yet, the next two are much easier in comparison.

this better?
Battletoads when I was a kid. Could not get past the ski surfing level in the tunnel no matter how many times I tried.
