The Level design is underrated & so is the pacing of the game, people don't give those aspects enough credit despite them being easily the best parts of the game. The dungeons are perfectly designed outside of Jabu Jabu, yet people only talk about the music

If botw had the creativity of enemies killing you the same way you can kill them on top of the non filler enemy gameplay of oot it would be the best zelda game of all time but it chose to have filter enemies.

It's hugely overrated if anything.
I played the shit out of it as a kid, but I've had no desire to go back to it for well over a decade.
It may have been revolutionary for its time, but the limitations of the n64 as well as better games that have come out since makes its flaws increasingly apparent.
TP is simply better in most ways, and with botw I'm hard pressed to say if I'd ever be interested in going back to either of those games.

It's simple. Like Mario 64 (also overrated as fuck) You played it when you were a kid, it took you a long time to finish and you enjoyed every part of it because you were a kid.

Now when you replay it you just remember every part and it gives you flashbacks to when you were a kid in simpler times having fun.

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro do the same thing for Sony kids, only difference is they grew up and tried new games which are all also mostly garbage. whereas the Nintendo kids decided they didn't want to grow up and stayed with these dogshit games.

Xbros on the other hand grew up with Halo and Gears which made them into men.

I don't consider Majora's Mask to be a good game, let alone a good Zelda game.

I've never played a Gears game, so I can't comment on that. I've always found Halo to be more hype than anything else. It's pretty boring, all in all.
