Although, I would prefer if Krystal was a Fox echo, because you see, I like playing as Fox, but doing so implies I'm using/controlling a man, and that's gay. So having Krystal as a Fox echo would solve my issue

"Echo fighter" is just a fancy word. Dr. Mario and Pichu are still esentially clones of the characters they were based on yet still they've their own spot on the roster.

Meanwhile Ken is respectably different from Ryu but he's labelled as an Eccho

At this point, I just consider actual echo fighters to be the literal alternate costumes like Daisy and Dark Samus. None of those other fighters should be labeled as echoes.
