The sound freaked me the hell out and I didn't progress for like two years when I finally found out it was just one room and you could just roll through it in like 5 seconds.

Don't worry it just takes a bit of practice,memorization, and save scuming. You really only have to beat the dungeon once or twice to understand the layout and then all you have to do is breeze through the puzzle rooms and you'll have plenty of time to spare for the boss.

Also timeline is misleading for the low IQ anime watcher since it doesn't really have anything to do with time. Him time traveling is not creating the worldlines, they are all existing in parallel. The word timeline implies that they break off from some original worldline due to time travel events.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I still played Majora's Mask when it came out, I was even younger, and funny enough nothing scared me as hard as the Octo did.
