There's so many story based games out there that are so badly and predictably written I can't help but choke out laughing at those kinds of scenes

This is a video game board. Go to Yea Forums to discuss anime.

I wanted to be the one to fill your dark souls with light

These

The kiss scene in Sonic 06.

WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOOOOOR?!

I never really cared about ace, he showed up like once in alabasta and I never felt like I actually knew him. His death just didnt really hit me

>record a grown man voice cracking and call it a good take
Was he just physically incapable of hitting that note?

Lost Oddyssey when Kaim finds his daughter on her deathbed. I laughed so hard and I knew the game wasn't for me.

Resident Evil, mostly due to the horrible voice acting.

Merry was unironically sadder

He had a flashback about his mother, and him, Luffy, and Sabo as kids, and his whole relationship with Whitebeard.

the childhood flashback episodes didn't make you care about ace at all?

Dynasty Warriors 7.

>hey everyone we lost a lot of good people to earn peace but now that we have it everyone come fuck my wife

OUCH!

>it rained on the day I was born

>implying this is in any way controversial

I wasn't so much as sad that Ace died. That scene made me sad because Luffy was sad, losing someone your close to sucks and those flashbacks to whom they were kids really empathizes how much Ace meant to Luffy.

>I hope I get to eat next time :(

Modern Warfare 2, "No Russian"

for me, it's hiriluk

Mainly anime jrpgs, since I can't take weebshit seriously

>The entire fucking pirate world shows up to save Ace
>Luffy goes through all that shit in Impel Down
>Multiple pirates die, including Whitebeard
>mfw Ace throws it all away because mean magma guy was saying mean things about his daddy
Fucking garbage. He should've just died on the podium if he was going to throw it all away like a child. Oda is a hack for this forced death.

It was a whole lot of set up just to say shanks was right

>>Luffy goes through all that shit in Impel Down
>>Multiple pirates die, including Whitebeard
>>mfw Ace throws it all away because mean magma guy was saying mean things about his daddy
rescuing ace being pointless was kinda the point

Mostly any David Cage game death made me giggle.

there was a particularly hilarious one in Kingdom Hearts IIRC

OP is about ideals. It's fitting that somebody dies fighting for their ideals. Ace was searching for a place. he found a place, A gangsta was messin with his his fly [pops].

>He actually dies saving his brother. You can actually see the hormones Luffy is on wear off when he kneels down.

Who the fuck have a fuck about Ace and to those who did...what the fuck is wrong with you? We barely got any thing from him besides durr I'm luffys "brother"

Kingdom Hearts. The dialogue is bad. The script is embarrassing. And it's difficult to pretend anything when we know that death is a joke in that franchise. You cannot help but feel there's a sense of constant "safety" all over the damn franchise to the point that no way can anything truly dramatic happen. Especially with Mr. Revives Characters To Please Fantards Nomura at the helm.

Good god even Mario can do better drama for characters without them even dying. I felt more for Rosalina's backstory than I did for any character in Kingdom Hearts. And I cannot be the only one. When will this bad franchise die?

Am I the only one who didn't give a damn about that scene? Sonic was dead so it's not like he was "acting" a role or anything he was just a dead object in that scene. And considering Sonic has shown attraction to human women in the OVA then I don't feel it's a big deal. It feels common and normal for that franchise.

There are so many that canĀ“t be named

>game has a disagreement between party members
>somehow it hits harder than kamina or fate/zero rider

It's worse than that my bro. Ace CHOSE to die because he was a fucking moron who was safe and sound and decided out of "hurt feewwings" to fight an opponent he had NO chance of beating. I don't feel sorry for an idiot like this. Kind of reminds me of the death of Uncle Ben in Reboot Spiderman movies by Sony (he basically stupidly chose to fight a young criminal mugger instead of it being a situation out of his control).

Anyway I soon dropped One Piece after this because Luffy did NOT learn his lesson after this incident. He continues to not take situations seriously for the most part as he goofs around so I stopped pretending I liked One Piece. Luffy is a terrible protagonist and it's a crime we have to spend so much time with such a garbage protagonist who is as bad as Sora from Kingdom Hearts. It never fails, the main protagonist is the one who pisses me off the most.

The last few hours of GU rebirth made me cry laughing
The english dub is so incredibly bad that even the most serious scenes in that game made me chuckle.
I dread starting the next game though. I'm already pretty sick of it but I spent 60$ on that shitty last recode

>I've been having an affair...
>there's something I have to tell you too trip... I painted this

NO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING
I HAVE NO REASON TO GO ON

WHA-
WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOORRR

literally anything by konami

>mfw this entire fight

Literally the entirety of Episode Ardyn, if that counts.
I could deal with 99.9% of Final Fantasy XV's bullshit, but that episode was too much, it was too bad, it was genuinely awful.

a lot of parts of bravely default, still a great game

What did you hate? Haven't played it and don't care about spoilers. Thanks in advance.

Anything in Symphonia. The hot/cold coffee scene especially. Lloyd and Collette are both so retarded that I can't take them seriously.

So, they could have taken Episode Ardyn in one of two directions, right? It's either a finale to Final Fantasy XV, this adventure to places that you wanted to see (say, Insomnia) full of fanservice moments and ideas. Or it could be a thoughtful addition to Ardyn's story, expanding upon his interesting backstory and making him an even more impactful villain.

Instead, and this really boggled my boogles, they tried to do both halfway. You get Insomnia, but it's shitty and all of the signs are untranslated and you have no incentive to ever go down to ground level. You get Regis, but the fight with him is like twenty seconds long and he doesn't even know that you're Ardyn. You get to see behind enemy lines for a second, but the dialogue and voice acting is awful.

And, worst of all, the actual events of the story directly contradict what we're told in the main game. Ardyn is retconned to be this perfect soul who did nothing wrong and only acted evil in order to get Noctis to sacrifice himself and eliminate the Starscourge, making Bahamut the true bad guy. Except not, because he's a slave to fate? Except he has to convince Ardyn to follow fate? And they give you a dialogue option at the end that changes nothing? It's all sorts of really stupid. Fuck.

It's shitty from a gameplay perspective, shittier from a standalone story perspective, shittiest from a DLC expansion perspective. I have no idea whether or not Tabata was involved in this episode's pre-production, or which staff carried over outside of him, but whatever it was clearly wasn't enough. Whatever weak vision was tying the main game and the initial DLCs together was entirely missing.

I'm mad.

How? It's 20 fucking dollars nowadays. Where the hell did you go to buy it? Also play with Japanese voices.

Genuinely one of the best moments in Shonen anime/manga period. They're just arguing over a ship. But there's still this kinda heavy feeling of dread as the fight ramps up. Shit like that is why I love One Piece

Attached: the FUCK.jpg (125x123, 2K)

That was it. The peak. The whole Water 7 arc gives you the feeling "fuck if this shit is this awesome NOW, how much more awesome will OP be once we go into the New World and stuff?". Now the only thing in One Piece that could make you sad is the fact that it will never reach those heights again. Some bits of it now are still entertaining, but it's more of a sunk cost fallacy. You've spent more than two decades on it, might as well see it through the end

Pretty much every JRPGs. It's more of a tradition than anything else. You EXPECT them to be so ridiculously cringe that it's entertaining by itself

I dunno man. I've been going though the Whole Cake Island arc and it's a fucking blast so far. Big Mam being what amounts to a Hyperpowered manchild throwing a tantrum is fucking great. And Brook is best Strawhat, just putting that out there
