Is this a good game?
Is this a good game?
it's mediocre
Depend on how many pills you take a day
Yes, but it tries to get you to unsubscribe
There aren't enough competent players to make a good raid group in it, which says a lot because the savage raids in this game are like babies first raid boss. 99% of the population of the game are ERP faggots playing barbie dress up and the sims in their housing.
Also the game is pretty average and content takes forever to come out.
Do you wish WoW was better for erping, but had slower gameplay?
then yes, it's a good game
It's only going to get worse in the next expansion as they're competing with classic release and the content is already pretty minimal. Once they see their subscription numbers plummet when classic is released, they'll have even less incentive to create good content.
Anyone pretending the playerbase isn't the same people that will be playing classic is wrong. I have an FC of 40 and almost all of them are leaving for classic when it releases.
It won't be for long.
>Really liked FF14 from what I played
>Dislike the idea of supporting a monthly subscription model for a game
Duality of man
It will be soon.
This about sums it up.
just commit and buy a year
It'll kind of give you incentive to keep playing
and honestly it's really not that much, in the end.
Imagine a sidescrolling brawler. In this brawler a bomb drops on the left half of the screen, and covers half the screen with a warning circle. On top is the word "EXPLOSION" filling up in color left to right. When the N fully fills you are still in the warning circle. You then move to the right, beat up two guys, throw some punches. You are not in the warning circle, and haven't been since before you started beating up those guys. The bomb blows up. You die.
That is FFXIV. It's easy to play around, but it's pants on head retarded that it was designed that way in the first place.
Is English your second language?
This is what the game has become.
ARR was great and parts of HW were okay, Stormblood onwards is AIDS and anyone pretending the game is just now hitting its stride is either new, lying or works for Square Enix.
Your mileage may vary
there's some great parts but you need to slog through a fair amount of not-so-great parts to get to it
>he didn't get out at the second O
Is it yours?
>post shows perfect understanding of how the mechanic works
>he must not know how the mechanic works
It's shit, and would be unacceptable in any other genre. It gets even worse for skills that don't have cast bars, like half of Midgardsormir's abilities.
There are definitely a lot of people lying to themselves and defending/shilling the game. The game seems to have this culture of holding Yoshi P up as some sort of god, because of how he saved the original game from the state it was in. The guy definitely has passion, but that isn't enough to save a rapidly dying MMO. I've never seen a fanbase rabidly defend the dumbest shit and decisions devs makes as the FF14 community.
When classic comes out this game will be done for in terms of content.
The irony is that 1.0, as a game, was in a great spot towards the end. Its issues all stemmed from a terribly coded client, shit servers, and the reputation it garnered from its launch state.
Imagine having an IQ so low, that you need multiple visual cues to appropriately deal with literally the simplest mechanic in the game.
Okay I just wanted a fucking final fantasy XIV thread. What title should I use next time so I don't attract the WoWFags?
Who is Jhazda?
define good
what are you doing out of your containment thread.
you either make an actual xiv thread and it gets nuked by jannies, or you try to hide it and get a bunch of responses you don't want
there is no middle ground
Who are you?
The issue is the visual cues don't line up. Every time anyone complains about it there are always retards like you that come out to paint it as the person not understanding how it works. I understand how it works, I can play around it. That doesn't stop it from being absolutely unacceptable. There's no justification for things like Midgardormir's spin/flips which only have the unreliable visual cue (inner circle aoe can kill you at the border of the map). Or for hotwings killing people that are visibly further away from the line than the ones that survived. I've had attempts where both the closest and the furthest raid members died, but no one in between.
It's too bad because ultimate fights and a handful of savage fights are the best encounters in wow-style mmos, if xiv had netcode and the budget to produce more than 4 bosses every 8 months then it would easily be king
Who is OP?
You don't ask if said game is good when it is clearly not and in a terrible state right now. You start a thread talking about something you enjoy in the game, instead of pretending you just heard of the game yesterday.
Don't bring that thread enemy shit here.
It's the best MMO right now in the market
I feel the same, and some of the fights look amazing. Some of the best raid encounters I've seen in an MMO, even though they all heavily steal mechanics from WoW.
The game is on the decline and it's pretty sad, not going to lie.
lolno
post only the cutest minions!
For those who have bpd, I'm doing that thing where you don't sleep for days and talk absolutely nonstop and fixate on hating things. As I’ve mentioned on and off, I ive with my parents, whom Cael hates. His main fixation these days is “getting revenge” on me by gathering my past misgivings that supposedly show I'm an abuser. He’s convinced this will “bring me down” (I have no idea what that means). He keeps talking about how he wants me to lose the bench, and being homeless would be worth it. In my frustration, I have retaliated against the thread. He’s still talking as I write this, leaning in to tell me he wants to contact the mod, whispering even though there’s no one else here. I hate to disbelieve a victim, but I have no idea how much of what he’s told me even happened. I’ve seen what he does to the truth firsthand. WHY WON’T HE STOP TALKING?! If I do anything to suggest I don’t want to listen to him I’m immediately attacked. Could this all be BPD, or something else? The staying awake for days, fixating to the exclusion of everything else, possibly outright delusion? The icing? He’s presenting his ”evidence” as concern for abused people and wanting the perp to pay. It is nothing but petty, somewhat confusing revenge. He slips in a “love you” when I leave for work, but he thinks of nothing else but what he hates. If he doesn’t stop talking I might really destroy xivg for good. I think I need help
>This is your brain on XIV
>can't have a good thread on /xivg/
>try to have a thread on Yea Forums
>/xivg/ raids it and shits it up
I don't know what I expected.
>all this negativity
whatever, I just resubbed from 1.0 and I'm just hitting 60
Should I BLM or NIN? Also; what is the best way to level 50-60? Because POTD makes me want to fucking quit.
>what is the best way to level 50-60? Because POTD makes me want to fucking quit
user I...
>The issue is the visual cues don't line up.
They don't have to.
One of them (the cast bar) is for the timing. The other (AoE indicator) is for the area where the attack hits. If you can't comprehend this, it's your problem.
I bet you also complain about fighting games having animation cancels.
It's nice enough. There's some silly stuff involved, but that's pretty much par for the course with mmos.
>/xivg/ is bringing their thread drama onto Yea Forums now
It just keeps getting worse.
You can't have a good thread anywhere because the game is fucking trash.
just do your daily levelling and MSQ roulette, those award excellent exp, as long as you don't want to get them up super quick, in which case, have fun in PotD
Different guy but I definitely agree when it comes to stuff like ultimate titan landslides, jesus christ what a dogshit fight that was.
With that being said the game lies to you when it comes to the position of other players, there's a second delay between what the game shows you and what their actual position is and that's far more unforgivable, it's obvious when you have merry-go-round strats and if you think you're running with the pack then you're actually behind them server-side. That's honestly far more unforgivable imo, that and tank CDs only applying when damage snapshots and before it actually hits you. You press TBN or Hallowed Ground and the game still screws you over because animation delay+latency+damage snapshot kills you anyway.
How are animation cancels even remotely related? Hurtbox collides with hitbox = hit. The visuals are always lined up with the hurt/hit boxes. In FFXIV the visuals don't mean shit, because they're disjointed by 2~3 seconds. In XIV the explosion can hit the middle of bumfucknowhere and it'll hit you if you were there 3 seconds before. The visuals do not line up. The orirignal example of the bomb in a brawler is a perfect analogy. It also shows that I understand how it works just fine. I can play around it just fine. Even while understanding it and playing around it, I can still see how shitty it is. These things aren't mutually exclusive, and yet the only defense you shit eaters can ever come up with is "lel you must be bad".
It's pretty mediocre to shit. Honestly MMOs are an even bigger waste of time than video games normally are.
If it's your first time leveling then doing the MSQ and random quests around is the best way. Do your dailies. Other than that just PoTD because fate parties don't exist any more. PoTD is always a grind around the last few levels.
kupo story bro
this looks like every other thread on Yea Forums for the last 14 years
I've been doing this in between crafting, my 1.0 character was corrupted, and a GM gave me a lvl 50 BLM book to use. I redid the entirety of the MSQ on a ninja to 50, then swapped to BLM for HW and he's 60. I have all of my old hamlet shit and can get my items from the salvager, but my crafting classes are all 15, so I've been leveling that.
I also heard summoner is cool, I like BLM but the timings are kind of weird.
Yea Forums has historically been XIV shilling grounds
>One of them (the cast bar) is for the timing. The other (AoE indicator) is for the area where the attack hits
And the actual attack animation, the explosion/visual cue, Is a seperate entity all together.
>I bet you also complain about fighting games having animation cancels.
??? This is the equivalent of the a hadoken spawning, moving across the screen at the speed of a snail and then hitting you when you jump over it because you were on the ground when the opponent let out the hadoken.
Good game, retarded fanbase although not as normie and annoying as WoW, ESO, delusional classicfags. Slow updates because you're supposed to unsubscribe between patches/events to not get burnt out. Thing is there's also a ton of daily stuff and the unlocking of content is an extreme grind.. the housing has a timer that's a bit more than a month so you can't unsub if you want to keep your house. I'd say FFXIV is a massive jack of all trades.
its functional but still awful and redundant.
>I don't want to pay for a monthly subscription
>"then pay for a yearly subscription!"
I wonder who could be behind this post.
blm is kind of a weird class in general, it takes a bit of getting used to since it doesn't really play like any of the other classes in terms of movement
>Just wanted a XI remake
>We'll be getting one
>Mobile trash
I still fucking hate Square for this, go burn in the flames of hell you slant eyed bastards.
no fighting game would get away with how unresponsive and janky ff14 is lmao.
Summoner is really great to level up because not only is it strong, levelling it also levels Scholar, which you can use for shorter queues
I am levelling a SMN for ShB mostly because having a dps and healer at cap early makes things less rigid at endgame.
is bluemage fun? Also what does restricted mean? Will they unlock the rest of the levels later on?
You won't even get that because it was announced like 5 years ago and there hasn't been a word of it in the last 3. If anything that project has been dropped and when they see the popularity of classic WoW, they might consider and actual FF11 remake, if they even have the resources possible to do this.
Isn't Eleven still running on PC, though?
Or not a remake, a "FF11 classic"
> what does restricted mean?
It means they're too lazy to balance the class, so they keep its level cap too low to be relevant to the other classes.
>Will they unlock the rest of the levels later on?
No.
what's stopping you from playing FFXI remake on a android emulator on PC at 4k@60fps
It's a solo job that can't group with any other class in the game. It has about as much impact as Chocobo racing at the Gold Saucer. Basically it's a shit waste of time.
Blue Mage is my favorite Job in the series. I love Blue Mage. My avatar on websites that let me use them is a Blue Mage.
Blue Mage is shit in XIV. It's tedious as fuck RNG nonsense for weak ass skills and you need other people in other jobs to carry you through content more often than not.
Limited job means that you can't use it for anything. No MSQ. No duty finder. No PotD. Nothing. Enjoy your outdated dungeons and trials that PF groups won't want you for.
>When classic comes out this game will be done for in terms of content.
See you on 5.0's launch, user.
>My avatar on websites that let me use them is a Blue Mage
The absolute state of this website.
combat in 1.23b was still boring as fuck
BLU in XI was the same shit except even more tedious to learn skills and slotted skills conferred a stat-boost.
A neat idea that was wasted because they didn't want blue mage to be "too strong" despite it being old content and the raids being soloable already making the solo part moot aside from the carnivale. The carnivale is good for allied seals. Basically less "wasted time" or "should've been a generic caster with a blue skin" and more like wasted potential.
it's not very interesting since you only end up using maybe 6 spells in normal combat and half of your shit is some flavor of weak aoe. also its damage is low and even though it can kinda tank and kinda heal it really shouldn't
they will raise the level cap over time but it will never match the current level cap, and it can't use the df and is barred from potd/hoh and some other shit
You could actually play the game with BLU in XI.
Whoop-de-doo, XI BLU sucked harder on a gameplay front.
I will be there because I still enjoy the game. I'm just honest and criticize things for what they are. You disingenuous faggots are all in denial if you think FF14 isn't going to massively suffer from Classic coming out within 1-2 months of its release. It's already barren as it is.
Are you fucking high? XI BLU was incredible deep. Are you just bitching about RNG on spells? Because you could even minimize that by raising your blue magic skill level.
Confirmed to have never played XI
Blu is literally the most overpowered job in 11
Being OP didn't make it fun for me.
If your having wow problems I feel bad for ya son, I got 99 problems but that game ain't one.
BLU was one of the best jobs in FF11, hands down. Not to mention the game wasn't all about raid treadmills back then. BLU was my favorite class to try and solo as much content as i could on.
Delusional.
the shadowbringers wojak should be smug earlier since 5.0 comes out in early summer while Classic isn't due until mid-late summer.
Is there any particular part of the new expansion you're excited for, user?
>I'm just honest and criticize things for what they are. You disingenuous faggots
Sure. Personally I think Classic will sustain around Nostalrius numbers which a quick Google says was ~15k at peak hours (not sure if this is counting the furious amount of Chinese gold-farmers and RMTers or not), with an initial burst "honeymoon" of much higher numbers in the first three months. There'll probably be a lot of people with rose-tinted goggles for something they've never played that figure out they wouldn't have played old-WoW and unsubscribe.
>being excited for the expac where yoshi himself admits the team is barely meeting dealines
It'll just be the crying wojak in under a month either way. Then it waits half a year for four circles. 'Maybe squares if they're lucky.
One or two employees probably killed themselves when barely anyone played the Ultimates.
15k? Are you fucking high? OSRS has more than that currently.
>first three months
Majority will quit in under one month, sometime in the 30s. Trust me, it's where most of the normies stopped back in the day.
I'm going off of Nostalrius' numbers which was just about THE old-WoW private server in its day. Is there a problem?
pc is the only thing running XI
>get into my first ever static
>Nervous and study fight to make sure i make a good impression
>Half the members dont show up
>Need to pug and set a learning group up with pugs
>Keep fucking wiping on o11 first section
>HURRR JP STRAT IS CONFUSING
>People from static 1 by 1 say they gotta go despite the fucking ad for it saying they raid till 3am est
>its only fucking 12:30 am
>LOL SORRY GUYS THURSDAY WE SHOULD BE GOOD :^)
If this shit happens 2 more times (or next time depending on the severity) i'm fucking pugging the rest of SB until ShB holy shit these people who play are fucking spineless and brainless.
Is there anyway to play 1.0 ?
That's the kind of shit that happens at this point in the tier. The vast majority of people who actually cared or were capable of clearing already did and are done raiding for now.
No, and you don't want to. The client was absolutely fucked. 3+ second response per menu interaction. Select item (3 seconds), sell (3 seconds), enter amount (3 seconds), confirm(3 seconds). Repeat per item.
If you honestly think the only people that are going to play classic WoW are the same people that played nostalrius you're a fucking brainlet.
You're right, it won't even have the majority of the Nostalrius crowd. Most were only playing for free. The others were, as the other user said, bots and RMTs.
>ou disingenuous faggots are all in denial if you think FF14 isn't going to massively suffer from Classic
It's not. The overlap of audience is absolutely negligible. What, you think dedicated endgame community is going to drop the newest raid tier to dick around with Onyxia? Piss off.
I suppose I dont blame em. I just cleared o9 and o10 and when I clear 11 and hopefully 12 just once i'm done raiding and will just do leveling. Eureka consumed way to much of my time for SB and I was fatigued by the time I finished each new zone to do the current raid tier and missed out on so much shit.
Which is why I mentioned a period of around three months after its initial release where it'll do much much better than that. I think it'll taper off to around 15k total players in the long-term. You already need a WoW subscription to access Classic, after all.
This is 90% of statics I've ever been a part of in this game. I had to make my own to actually make progress and finish savage tiers. We raid 3 nights a week for 2 hours, because i know any more than that and I'd run into the same problem of people not showing up or getting burnt out. Luckily the people I've found put in as much effort as myself when it comes to learning fights.
Most people just dip in and out of raiding thinking it'll be different this time. It never is because they never actually put effort into it, they all want to be carried.
Mine just fell apart. I couldn't grasp why two or three of the worst retards kept on having the mentality of "we cleared 9 and 10, just pug it if you want gear". The whole point of a static is to avoid having to pug. It's always the shittiest healers that spout this bullshit too.
>15k total players
WoW has never had numbers this low at any point throughout its history. Classic will reach 3mil+ subs at least when it launches and i would imagine even a year after release will retain close to 1mil. How retarded do you have to be to expect 15k?
My internet problems ruined raid night.
How retarded do YOU have to be to think the sub will be seperate, or that Blizz will release the numbers?
What dedicated endgame community??? Fucking Mr happy on his youtube channel getting 2k views a video? Every person i talk to in FF14 is excited for classic and talk about it as much as Shadowbringers. Stop lying.
This and also they keep making the exact same expansion with a different coat of paint. The game is basically Second Life for weeaboos, if you want to raid or do any meaningful content stay far away.
which MMO currently is better then
Nostalrius was free and extremely well-known, and still it had ~15k players with a large number consisting of Chinese botters and gold-farmers. Even a million for something intended to fill a niche is a bit unrealistic.
How do i think it'll be separate? It'll be the same sub people use for retail you retard. What does that have to do with anything?
>This and also they keep making the exact same expansion with a different coat of paint.
Part of the reason it's successful is that it isn't changing its formula purely for the sake of change desu
>internet problems plus some bullshit with my video card that only affects this game
for no reason, i've decided that raiding is dumb and gay actually
Holy shit fuck off with your WoW off topic shit and make a WoW thread of you want to talk about it so bad THIS IS THE FUCKING XIV THREAD FUCK.
>join fc
>too socially retarded to make friends
Its like being in school again
>What dedicated endgame community???
People who actually play the game as opposed to talking shit on Yea Forums
>mr happy
literally who? The guy has a stream audience, but he's by no means a great endgame player everyone looks up to because he's actually complete trash at the game.
>Every person i talk to
Maybe stop talking to voices in your head.
Based, hopefully all future xiv threads that aren't rightfully deleted by the mods are like this one.
Absolute garbage non-game.
It's also part of the reason the game never gets any bigger and why I'll never resub. WoW is in the dumpster right now and XIV could easily become the biggest MMO by putting out a big fresh expansion. But nope it's just gonna be HW/SB with a garlean skin this time.
It wasn't well know by the normies that used to play WoW back in the day. They might hear about WoW classic servers but they never went to the trouble. I know this for a fact as I'm still in contact with at least 15 people i used to play Vanilla/TBC with and only 1 of them has ever touched a private server.
this. I i'd rather stay with comfortable mediocrity with a few gold gems than experimental trainwreck.
>But nope it's just gonna be HW/SB with a garlean skin this time
Garlemald is 6.0. We're going to alternate history high fantasy Eorzea instead.
>But nope it's just gonna be HW/SB with a garlean skin this time.
Of course they will, it's a Final Fantasy game first and foremost and they're not going to chase subs when they could lose a couple hundred thousand and the game would still be considered profitable by Square Enix.
Relatively "yes", but it's a MMORPG, so there's that.
I suspect you were still retarded after school.
We manage to clear everything in our static, but i do have 2 in our group that are little bit laid back and often talk about how it's just fun to raid and not how fast we progress. This is partially true but if we're not progressing it definitely isn't fun, so i have to work around that and keep them in check, making sure they take it seriously.
With the way this thread is acting you would think SHADbringers already released and was already confirmed to be a bad expansion. Where are all these assumptions coming from? Who could be behind all this negativity?
This will be the lalafell expac
please do not be rude to the retard
Eorzea isn't high fantasy?
Doomer retards who play the game all day everyday and dont have jobs.
More high-fantasy in terms of fantastical environments, I think he was driving at.
>It wasn't well know by the normies
Nigga big WoW streamers like Sodapoppin and Towelliee were advertising the fuck out of Nostalrius.
They haven't shown anything that makes it look like it will be any different from the previous expansions, also
>No headgear for viera at launch
Just makes it seem like it's going to be more minimum effort shit
Eorzea is full of magitek, especially ever since they started going hard on Allagan bullshit. Norvrandt doesn't have a single piece of magitek in sight except for the Crystal Tower which came from our world anyway. Instead it has castles, Elves, Dwarves, Pixies, etc.
>Maybe stop talking to voices in your head
Not him but i also know plenty of people in FF14 excited for classic, mostly older players of course.
It's Seifer, user. He knows they're going to make fun of him for being bad at gunswording.
No it's not, the OP asked peoples opinions about an inferior MMO. Get back to /vg/ you seething tranny.
It's a tough sell. The multiplayer content is fun (dungeons, PvP, and other side stuff) however, there isn't really enough of it in the game to justify the monthly subscription. Still, it's a fun game while it lasts, especially with friends, however a massive chunk of the game is not only single player, but single player exclusive. There's so much reading and cutscenes to get through. Thankfully, the story is pretty great. It's awfully slow to get going but the later stuff is pretty damn great and it helps that there are unique cultures and dialects between each region. Few games get the little details done right like FF14 does. Still, this is a multiplayer focused game, or at least it's supposed to be. What you have in the end is a game that's at odds with itself; you want to play with friends but you all have to get through the story first. The story is good but it's also blockading you from the multiplayer content. Ideally, everyone will progress at more or less the same pace but you know that will never happen. Everyone's better off rushing to the endgame and then having fun at that point, but then it starts to feel like work since you're actively trying to skip everything to get to the good stuff.
If the subscription fee was much lower then I wouldn't mind it so much, but $12 a month is a bit of a stretch to me. I'd rather get a brand new, unique, $60 game as opposed to paying $12 for one, two, or three months just to grind the daily bonus stuff and crawl through the latest story content little by little. Still, I will admit that I always get back on during the occasional free login periods and I'll immediately feel like subscribing for another month, which I'll probably do sometime this year and then get the new expansion as well.
Basically, it's a fucking drug. There's a lot subpar about it but man does it manage to hook you. Also, crafting/gathering can fuck off. I got all those jobs to Lv.50+ and it's the most unrewarding shit.
>Its not an XIV thread OP asked if the game XIV was good or not
FUCK OFF ALREADY
Seething. Fuck off back to your general if you want a hugbox.
You think normie boomers watch these twitch faggots? Soda poppin literally appeals to 13 year olds, as does most of twitch.
Why couldn't the entire goddamn game have been set there? This is such a welcome change of pace that I'm almost willing to overlook the fact the retarded reasoning behind our detour there.
...
>people don't want the same game plan again, it's just going to be HW/SB again
>that's why they're going to play a 14 years old game instead
Hmmm I wonder what you're trying to sell me.
im surprised blizzard still has money to pay shills with
Why won't they just fucking give you all the expansions now so you can fucking catch up if you pre-order the new expansion. These fucking kikes want me to spend $40 now on a dead expansion. Fick them.
I thought the same thing. Lakeland gives me huge FFXI vibes. I'd play a whole MMO set on the First. Single player prequel game with Arbert's group when?
based.
The XIV sub is abusive in the sense that there's months long periods of nothing where you'd rather just quit until new content comes out, but you'll fall behind if you don't keep doing the weekly tomestone grind
If only it actually looked that colorful instead of being washed out, poorly lit and made of six years old textures slightly recolored.
WoW sucks too. I just wish FFXIV had more than 12 raid bosses per expansion. MMOs really are a dying genre, I just play Granblue now. It scratches the itch and takes less of a time investment.
A lot of people have never played Vanilla before, will be swept up in the hype and trying to fit in for boomer cred, then they'll realise Vanilla is absolute shit and come crawling back to Shadbringers.
>It ends with the apocalypse starting and the death of Arbert's group in order for them to go to the source
This is the same in wow, I haven’t played xiv since arr launch but I stopped playing thanks to the awful playerbase. I started a guild with my irl friend I raided in wow with for years and we recruited for a few weeks. We provided resources to our players through our site and nobody used them. Our first week of coil we had people who didn’t even know what a rotation was. Black mages using scathe on cooldown, monks not repositioning, white mage afking half the time. It was terrible, I remember no guild had cleared coil turn 4 for about 6 months.
>I just play gacha trash instead
Around seven
I never want to raid in an MMO again. No one wants to fucking do it anymore. It's a fucking chore for everyone and at best you'll get people for the first month.
>The visuals are always lined up with the hurt/hit boxes.
They don't and shouldn't a lot of the time.
Footage looked pretty close to that desu.
You’re underestimating the amount of people who want classic back but refuse to play on shitty private servers hosted in someone’s basement in Europe.
Face it, classic will be a success mostly due to it being included with anyone’s current wow sub. Everyone will play it for the first few weeks.
This is the worst fucking explanation I've seen for FFXIV's janky AoE markers
>No one wants to fucking do it anymore. It's a fucking chore for everyone and at best you'll get people for the first month.
I've seen this in XIV. It gets harder and harder to find a new group every raid tier. Why are MMOs dying, bros? I just want to explore a huge world with other people.
Keep plugging away at it. Like previously stated, the raid tier is late into the lifespan. This shit has been out since... last year? Keep doing what you are doing. Get good, learn the fight, and jump into peoples discord and make small talk. You might find like minded individuals to band together with to get that final clear with.
>yoshi likes eureka
>we'll never get to level relics in whatever way we want again
this is a RPG, not a sidescrolling brawler. different game rules.
XI ranks higher.
Maybe because people are mostly talking about the current state of the game, which is the state the game has been in for quite some time. Why would Shadowbringers be any different than the current or last expansion? It's going to be the same shit it always has been.
No one has the guts to try something new it's just a copy of wow theme park. The Koreans do but they shit it up with their greed.
>8 or 13 anywhere that fucking high
its only hard to find groups really late into the tier, we aren't very far from ShB, most people interested in raids are done, there are players out there just getting into the raiding and want to finish before ShB, but your best bets are to find a group while the content is new, otherwise it will be harder.
I didn't exactly try to argue that, I just wanted to point out that no, fighting games - damn near the pinnacle of requiring accurate knowledge and reactions of hitboxes/hurtboxes - do not actually align to the visuals all that accurately, in either a visual or even a timing sense. Tons of moves have long lingering hitboxes well after it would make sense logically, as well as the reverse where a move doesn't have a hitbox when it would make sense and instead has one later into the animation.
It's not on the same scale as XIV's desync since fighting games obviously move fucktons faster, but it's not like everything in every game is 1:1 visually accurate.
That's perfectly lined up when we're comparing it to FFXIV. FFXIV is that image if the hurtboxes went out while that character was standing, then once the hurtboxes were done doing their thing, then the character would jump up.
>mfw leveling crafters right now
That list is beyond fucked.
Dark Knight / White Mage main who's played the vast majority of the game's content solo.
Good combat, good dungeons, lame story at first but it picks up around level 50. Music is also subpar until around the level 50+ content, and the level 60+ music is absolutely fantastic.
If you have a group of likeminded friends then this game can be a lot of fun. On the other hand, you're going to be wadding through a ton of bullshit before the game gets real good; to the point that it's questionable whether or not the investment is worth it. Also, you're better off sticking with a few jobs and playing what you like rather than trying them all. Unless you have a ton of free time, it's going to be too much of a struggle to level every single job. However, each job is unique and rewarding in their own way, especially after some much needed balance adjustments, so the option is always there.
Finally, Crafting and Gathering are handled horribly. Avoid like the plague. There is absolutely no value here. If an optional quest requires it for whatever reason, you're better off not bothering with that one.
Overall, I can't recommend it. It's a wonderful bunch of fan service and the few great parts are really, really fucking good, however a ton of the game is just a bunch of bullshit.
>tfw have to wait an entire month to get new info on the Expansion
Square Enix PLEASE god just start drip feeding us stuff now. I can't wait any fucking longer.
its bait, really poor bait at that, look at where Lightning Returns is
Me on the right
Instanced content like raiding is why MMOs are dying.
>find a raid clique
>never interact with anybody outside of that clique again for other forms of content unless it involves recruiting
Dungeons and trials and 24 mans are too "dip and go" to form any lasting friendship either.
>9 that low
>10 that high
Ya no. It's right to put XI higher than XIV, but it's wrong in many other ways.
That tier list doesn’t even qualify as an attempt to troll. No (You) for you
Dumbed down raid tiers that people clear in a day or two are the problem. It wasn't like this during WotLK raid tiers.
>It's going to be the same shit it always has been
Good.
what's it like kissing a girl?
it's easy as fuck to find a static in this game once the content is new. alphascape is 7 months old now, good luck finding shit.
Imagine kissing a boy
But its softer
You bet your ass in raiding when classic launches. I’m a co gm and gonna scum loot master to demolish people in pvp.
I wonder how my 4 year old FC is still going strong then since al lwe do is dungeons, trials, 24 mans, treasure maps, potd, eureka, etc.
What’s it like kissing a boy?
>dat pic
>HUNDREDS of hours worth of leveling
>"Overall, I can't recommend it"
(you)'ve earned it.
Hard
It has free weekends all the time. Just get up to current content then pop back in every now and again.
When you say Midgardsormir, are you talking about the ghost dragon towards the end of Realm Reborn? The final boss of the dungeon Keeper Of The Lake? Because if you have a hard time with him then holy fucking shit are you going to have a real bad fucking time with the latter content. And keep in mind that all content gets reduced in difficulty the more time that passes, in an effort to help newer players catch up. If you're still having a difficult time with that boss then I don't know what to tell you. The final boss of the optional dungeon Stone Vigil (Hard) doesn't show you warning circles, nor does he have a meter that fills up warning you of the attack. Instead, he has drawn out and visible animations for his different attacks. You're going to fucking hate it when those type of enemies become a more common occurrence.
*AHEM*
FUCK FIRST SHARDERS AND FUCK HYDAELYN
I meant their lips not cock
I've feared for my static since the end of HW. I know that if i didn't have the guys i raid with, I'd be fucked. Even when 1 person leaves our static, it takes a good 2-3 weeks to find the right person to replace them. Right now it's especially hard to find people. We constantly have to shift our roles around within the group when someone leaves to accommodate a new player joining that is good enough to beat content. It fucking sucks that it's slowly dying like this. I'm never going back to puging, i'd rather see the game die than go back to that hell.
He's talking about the actual Midgardsormr fight in the Omega raid.
>Right now it's especially hard to find people.
No shit, it's the fucking end of the expansion.
he's obviously talking about the raid fight, not the fucking dungeon boss you plank
savage is pointless. best in slot gear is pointless. statics are pointless.
/r/ing ShB in this
I mean, of course its pointless, you only do it if you find it fun, if you don't, why bother
I don't get why non-raiders even farm tomestone gear or artifact weapons. If you're not going to use them in savage, what's the point?
Spotted the noraidz casual
what's fun about having a part time job static
Classic had it right. Raid gear and pvp gear isn’t seperate like it is in modern wow. Having raid epics in pvp and shitting on some scrubs in blues was the best. Getting mc dagger drops that you’re not allowed to use in raids since they cause a debuff but taking them into a battleground to demolish people as a rogue. It’s the best.
Now let me boot up my gachas and check what waifu jpgs I got today
Current tier has echo. Yeah of course it's pointless. 6 months ago it was fine.
I don't get why raiders even farm savage gear. wow you're ilvl 400, what are you going to use it for? clear a few seconds faster next time?
>Classic
Nobody called old WoW classic, it's called vanilla, shill, eat shit
when I was raiding, all of us played on voice chat and the entire night was filled with banter and joking around, it was a nice way to unwind to be honest
I joined some PUG's and its dead fucking boring with no banter
To prepare for the next tier
I should've been more specific. We haven't had to replace anyone since the last tier came out and we beat it within good time so we're all taking a break right now. I was more talking about after the first few months into SB onward. It was extremely hard to find people that either didn't have a group or were still interested in raiding or the game in general. Making a new static from scratch is far more work than anyone is willing to do, myself included. We have lives and jobs believe it or not.
I'm right there with you man. If the subscription was cheaper then I'd play far more often. Hell, take away some benefits like one fewer NPC to hold on to my items or I can't have a house/apartment or whatever; I don't care. I just want to play the game anyway, I don't care for that other miscellaneous stuff. Of course, Square is making money hand over fist and if FF11 is anything to go by, the sub price will never lower.
You're a fucking retard and a jew. The yearly price is only cheaper if you're using multiple characters on a single account and a single server, which is stupid as hell because you can play every job with a single character so it doesn't make sense to ever start over. Furthermore, yearly sub is the same price as the basic, $12 sub, except you're not bound to a year long contract.
I get his point, when the boss ability indicator disappears and you're outside you can basically walk into an AoE and take no damage at all
The game confirms a hit the moment the indicator disappears from the ground but deals damage like 2 seconds later and is synced pretty well with the animation. It kinda feels clunky during boss fights with lots of chain AoE where you're not sure which indicator you've already dodged and haven't when they're that out of sync
>the savage raids in this game are like babies first raid boss
name a game with good current raiding bosses
Once you're at the point that you're completing savage, you're no longer doing it for the gear. My raid group often doesn't even do the last fight in a tier more than 2-3 times before we take a break until the next tier.
Beating savage is about beating savage. Whether you do it for fun or some autitistic sense of self accomplishment, it's definitely not about gear.
Summoner / Scholar is OP as fuck for this reason. Everyone else has to level each job individually, but SMN/SCH gets two jobs and two roles for the price of one. That shit is sick. Too bad I personally find both SMN and SCH to be the least fun jobs but there's definitely something for everyone. I'll accept that I'm a brainlet who likes to stick to DRK/WHM but I find their moves and combos to be a lot of fun, especially DRK.
>I remember no guild had cleared coil turn 4 for about 6 months.
Pretty sure T4 was cleared the first week. It was T5 that took a while, until I think week 5 when BG did it and then week 6 or 7 when they nerfed Twisters and the floodgates opened with dozens of groups finishing it the first day.
Man fuck /xivg/
FFXIV is great in many ways and presents something for everyone.
Play if you want, or don't.
Good times
This. I'll begrudgingly accept not being able to use party finder, but not even allowing the class to hit max level is dumb to me. Who cares if I'm doing dungeons with friends? All the restrictions make me not want to even bother with BLU. I'd rather level every job to 70. After that, then I might consider it, but I know I'll never even get that far.
/vg/ is fucking cancer.
i thought twisters were bugged instead of nerfed, like they would improperly spawn right under you and murder your shit or something like that
>mfw Eorzeaians call a rooty tooty point and shooty a musketoon
once its gone, nobody will talk about it. It's an incredibly bland FF game with no soul or identity of its own that tries too hard to serve as an advertisement for other FF games, and it is just so predictable both in plot and game releases that I could step away for two years and still guess how it would all play out.
An MMO without a sense of adventure or a question of what comes next, is boring. FFXIV is the most boring of all.
>post shows perfect understanding of how the mechanic works
>he must not know how the mechanic works
>I know, I'll respond again by saying he must not know how the mechanic works
o10s Spin Spin can hit you on the edge of the arena if you were too close like 1/2 way through the second spins animation.
That was the nature of FF11 as a whole. A lot of the game felt built around an overwhelming number of jobs, weapon types, and abilities, and just telling the player to try and make it work and go nuts. Dark Knight might not have been great and shit like Corsair was questionable, but it wasn't so much about viability as it was about freedom. It was the same freedom that made Ninja one of the better tanks in the game. FF11 was fantastic in this regard. Too bad the fucking game was the slowest goddamn game on the planet and had a mess of other problems, but they sure as hell got the customization and variety down well.
That's correct, server polling timer wasn't precise enough for the mechanic. The fight was bugged for weeks on end.
Bugged/nerfed, since it was clearly possible to finish the fight even in the original state it comes down to the same thing.
>FF9 at bottom tier
I don't even care about the rest; opinion discarded. The fact that you're implying even FF2 is better than 9 goes to show how much of a troll you're being.
Level 80 skills are going to fix WHM, r-right heal bros??
FFXIV is shit. The movement in this game feels unresponsive as hell, hence the lack of real PvP scene. You can't take a game serious when the mechanics and combat are trash.
This is the most important area for people actually interested in playing games instead of focusing on a thousand side activities, which, to it's credit, this game has.
But dressing up shit in a layer of pretty dresses won't change the nature of it.
WoW unironically has the best movement/combat system regarding responsiveness of the entire genre, yet they completely fucked up the progression/incentive/social systems, leaving it in a worse state than FFXIV.
MMORPGs are SHIT right now, and they will be until classic WoW rolls around.
>/vg/ threads are shit
>spend Yea Forums threads seething about /xivg/
I don't get it.
You had me until your shilling, fuck off shill
>and they will be until classic WoW rolls around.
It'll be shit
>no counter argument
Why even reply?
It'll be shit, but the least shit of the entire genre.
>This thread
Jesus fucking christ.
There needs to be a rule, like the Zelda Cycle, but for MMOs, but basically it's just
>If it's an MMO, it doesn't matter how many people play it, how much content there is, how much content is planned, or how long it's been out, if anyone asks you how its doing, you say it's dying. No exceptions.
But anyway, yeah, this game is honestly pretty great.
Your enjoyment is basically contingent on two things though;
1) How acclimatized you are to standard MMORPG bullshit, like padded quests and grinding, because there is a lot of that
2) Whether or not you're an antisocial snowflake. Because a lot of this game's content is contingent on finding a good group to play with. Fortunately, for the most part, the game's community is plenty welcoming; I myself started playing last month, and I found a great FC (guild) within a week.
If you're okay with those things, it's honestly probably the best MMO on the market today, and MMO or not, it's EASILY the best Final Fantasy since 9
you can bet your ass that Bobbert Kotick is going to squeeze out that Classic turd dead on time for July 2, user. blizzard is like clockwork about this shit.
Sure, they are just going to fix SCH and AST even more.
WHM isn't even broken though, infact the healers are balanced pretty well right now in my opinion.
The only, albeit gigantic, problem they have is their encounter design not requiring flexible GCD healing as long as your group knows what it is doing, making WHM, who focuses on that over the raid support the other two healers offer, fairly fucking useless in high end raiding once shit is on farm and perfectly understood.
What? XIV requires minimal social interaction and is shit for grinding. Was it your first MMO? Have you never touched XI? Ragnarok Online? Runescape? Hell, BDO?
No one does, user.
>but the least shit of the entire genre
>mfw people are gonna be heaping obscene amounts of praise on an ancient, obtuse, obsolete game
>most of those people won't be playing it in 3 months time
AST can do literally everything WHM can, except it can also do more. How is that balanced?
I haven't missed a month of subscription since 1.0 came out
You think people will stop playing within 3 months when updates will constantly be rolling out for quite a while longer than that?
>Yea Forums is one person
>everyone should be expected to read through 200+ replies before posting
Heh, not bad. You got me to hand out a (You).
AST is nowhere near as MP-efficient (the worst of the three healers if you ask me) and far more valued for its cards than for its healing
It's literally in the post he replied to. You are expected to read the post you replied to.
Good goy
I should've been more specific, when I said grinding, I was mostly referring to the metric fucking shit ton of pointless fetchquests between all the actual content. But there is a decent ammount of actual grinding too.
And being a part of a decent FC makes anything 50+ so much easier, and it's basically required for raids
What's your favorite class currently, user? What about all time? What race is your character?
>AST can do literally everything WHM can, except it can also do more. How is that balanced?
It can't though. Ontop of simply not having the on-demand tools WHM has an AST trying to cover a heavy healing load with GCDs will run out of MP after minutes.
The healers are honestly pretty well balanced. It's just that WHM's niche isn't in demand with the content we currently have, and most likely will get.
>"I know, I'll respond again"
>Implying that wasn't my first reply this thread
Your move, comrade.
That's excessive. I would imagine that you've missed out on playing some months entirely. You're either pretty damn rich, you're financially irresponsible, or you don't play any other video game.
I have a schedule so erratic and retarded that I'll never be able to join a static, and I play on goblin with no intent to move so I'm gonna be on the canceraids datacenter soon. How fucked am I when it comes to doing savage stuff and all that? Just got done with stormblood msq so I wanna go deeper into stuff.
>Implying that wasn't my first reply this thread
No such implication was made, read the reply again friendo.
>heavy healing load
Such as? The only thing it can't do compared to WHM is spam its Cure III equivalent, Earthly Star, but I haven't seen a situation where a Cure III spam saved a run in literally years. WHM will run out of MP spamming that shit too unless by some luck it has Thin Air still up.
Very fucked. You get a free transfer in a few weeks, just move to Aether, at least that way you have a chance of pugging Savage content.
>Such as?
Reading comprehension my man, I said in every single one of my posts that the encounter design is at fault for the perceived imbalance between the healers much more than the actual jobs.
I can't imagine anyone decent staying in Crystal.
its OKAY. the community is even worse than WoWs
No, you said that WHM supposedly excels at GCD healing, but all of its spells except for Cure III are covered by AST, with only thing WHM going for it is some moments of better MP efficiency. Even if there was a constant stream of damage you'd still take AST over WHM for great healing tools such as ES and wheel of fate.
And now, for your entertainment, a brief summary on the current state of wow by two of it's biggest fans. Enjoy.
youtube.com
Does anyone know what the prefered EU server/data center for PvE/raiding is?
Currently on Gilgamesh and while I have a group here the latency fucking blows and it unbelievably sucks having to wake up at 2am to raid, so I've been meaning to transfer
It's okay to be a clicker.
XIV is just as shit. Classic can't come out soon enough.
This is just me but you should probably ask during EU hours.
Why are WHMs the whiniest faggots in this game?
as long as you don't drop gcds as a direct result of clicking then yeah
I wonder if any of these big dick wow streamers even acknowledge xiv
Actually false, WoWs community is the lowest tier garbage.
It's not clear right now. Some hardcore raiding cliques decided to stick to Chaos, but you may or may not have better luck pugging on Light. Either way both data centers are now the smallest in the games and you're fucked whatever you do until the expansion when people come back in.
Make AST a full HoT healer, embracing the time mage aspect.
>several types of HoTs with varying potencies and timers
>use current abilities like Time Dilation to extend timers when necessary
>for faster, "burst" healing give them an ability that does something like make the HoTs tic 2x or 3x as fast
>also give them the ability to slow down timers the same way, letting the HoTs stay on longer when healing isn't necessary
Why do you people hate modern Blizzard but think a classic server made by them will be the best thing ever?
There's no major difference because we're at an end of expac lull and nobody that matters is still raiding right now.
>XIV is just as shit
Well, we cleared UWU a few weeks ago, so I'm done with all the content for now anyways and this is mostly looking ahead for ShB.
Noted.
Because their job is the most braindead easy thing to play in the game, and so they focus on others.
Some Method guy with 500+ viewers no matter what he was doing recently "quit" WoW and started streaming himself doing the XIV MSQs. Has about half the viewership that he used to have but so far he's had nothing but praise for the game and is constantly going on rants about Blizzard. Depends on whether he sticks with it I suppose, you have those kind of people before pretty much every expansion and most of the time they kind of just fade into obscurity and then go back to where they came from.
>your not-HoT co-healer fucks up big time on a share/strong AoE
>wipe
They can keep Earthly Star
youtube.com
Rin-chan has been going strong since she started. Soon, she'll be in SB.
WAR mains are worse
Well, so long as he's happy. Losing an established audience can hurt, but streaming a game that you've come to hate can be painful to watch.
I think you are talking about Monks.
No one here is defending retail you dumb fuck.
i would assume the primal people who got thrown on the server would be pretty ok
Ragnarok/Cerberus/Phoenix are the most succesful EU servers when it comes to raiding, in that order. There's a big drop off between Cerberus and Phoenix though. Ragnarok is a legacy server for 1.0 players, but that hardly matters at this point.
Remember to go say hello to Khloe at the event!
FFXIV's playerbase everyone.
Dumb frogposter
I have very small hands so I click many oGCDs
what the fuck is it about warrior mains? my static had to swap out out tank a couple of times and any time we got a warrior, we had to suffer through their obnoxious ego and autistic rants about parsing, one of them them even demanded my fucking dragoon tether, this all while shitting on our paladin for playing the "retard" tank, but any time we made a joke about warrior being easy, he would fucking sulk like a baby
then our summoner, who was normally a level headed dude, went warrior for alphascape and became so fucking jaded and egotistic
what the fuck are they putting in the water to make warriors such assholes?
>implying trannies and ERP faggots are better than any MMO community ever
Because if the classic servers are left unchanged and unaltered to its original, at least as much as it can be with the assets they have, then people don't care who makes it.
do people shit on clickers? I don't feel comfortable with keybinds and I do just fine, what's wrong with it? is it functionally inferior to keys?
Yes, it's better than WoW.
Want a friend code before you subscribe?
It is though.
It's significantly slower, less reliable, and limits your ability to move/pan/target/do other mouse things quite severely while you are clicking.
WAR mains generally think they are good at the game just because their tank can reach very high numbers very easily (braindead job)
have you ever seen a WAR playing another tank and being good at it?
it doesn't allow for as much finesse but if you play perfectly anyways then it doesn't matter what you prefer
Yes because both other tanks are even easier. Especially PLD.
PLD is the hardest tank to optimize, DRK is kinda the middle ground.
WAR has just been getting more and more braindead with every change they made to it, early ARR WAR, after it got its first class changes/buffs was by far its most complex iteration.
People haven't clicked in MMOs since Vanilla wow. Maybe the odd consumable off of their main hotbars or something, but anything else fucks with your movement, as any good player will mostly use their mouse to position their character while continuing to cast abilities.
Just got to the part in Stormblood where Zenos wrecks Y'shtola. I'm upset. First Minfilia and now this. I was playing mainly for the plot, but this shitfest of a game just keeps on shitting on all my waifus, while all I can do is nod stoically and que for leveling roulette. Give me one good reason to go on.
She's okay
>people complained about 4.0 WAR
>Square says they will be adjusting it
>expecting them to remove the job juice reduction on switching stances and adjust some numbers
>they make the entire job boring and entirely retard proof
>all the shitters see the big fell cleaves and eat it up
I miss old warrior, it wasn't great, but it wasn't this fucking boring
PROTECT THIS LEAF
No it fucking wasn't, stop talking out of your ass you liar. I mained WAR through second and third coil and you literally just did your none aggro combo when offtanking. In HW it got a little more complicated with working in 3 fellcleaves in your rotations, but that was it.
Change Phoenix with Odin, even Shiva had more Alpha clears than Phoenix.
>as any good player will mostly use their mouse to position their character while continuing to cast abilities.
I can move and click just fun, I can move the camera around and perform fine, I never miss a beat, its not that complicated
I've been playing this way since ARR so I've probably just gotten really good at it, anyone else who uses keys struggles with clicking and nice versa
Yes but it's shut down now and replaced with a garbage WoW clone for trannies.
Should have played healer so you get to heal and save your catwaif yourself instead of waiting for her to get railed back into concsiousness by nameless Roegadyn NPCs.
>sad about Minfillia and Y'shtola
the former is annoying and mostly does nothing and the latter is dull as dishwater and does nothing, why are you upset?
>waifuing the old cat lady with the personality of a paper bag
Yikes
>play healer
I'm sorry, I'm not a complete whore
How do you use both mouse buttons to move and click abilities at the same time??? Stop talking shit, i bet you're dps is lower than the healers.
I feel sorry for anyone that has played with you if you played for that long.
Because my real life is shit, I seek companionship and love with fictitious, virtual creations, and after already wasting 200 hours on this slog I grew somewhat attached to these characters and wanted to save them. They're not that boring.
Kinda wish the game had more weapon glamors.
>european swords for SAM
>mauls for WAR
>hammers for PLD
why? is it that unbelievable?
>how do you use both mouse buttons to move and click abilities at the same time
generally I strafe but I can turn the camera by right clicking in between GCD's, once again, its not that complicated, its obviously not as difficult or as detrimental as you seem to think it is
>I feel sorry for anyone that has played with you if you played for that long
why? people generally like playing with me, my raid group had to sub in a dps when I went on holiday and they were glad to have me back, both because I was more fun to play with and my numbers were better
I'm telling you guys, its really not that hard, its not, you can click and do fine
>tranny catfag is a modder
take your pills
also i play with the legacy camera because the resident evil tank control fucking suck
>They're not that boring
what is it about their personalities that you find you like the most?
there are also better waifu's in game, you just have to find them
No internet issues for me. instead the lovely combo of a bad pc and fps drops.. and weird latency issues that I had even when i played on my ps4 that could run the game well. getting hit after dodging aoe is never fun but the idea of it happening in a raid and me causing a wipe or dying and getting flak for something i can't really control is worse yet.
Forgot to say, sorry to hear it user. better luck next time.
git gud shitter
they're right you know, raid trannies are the cancer of this game
Dumb frogposter.
GIVE ME THE BENCHMARK YOSHI
If they remove dps checks then they need to increase mechanical difficulty.
In Minfilia's case, I guess it's her dependability. She's that leader figure who manages complex things while making it look easy, and I could respect that. But at the same time, she's still a vulnerable person inside and behaves in a more affectionate manner when she's alone with WoL. She always called you to stay behind in cutscenes while the others left, which made it seem like she really was lonely and wanted just a little more company by whatever excuse.
I didn't care much about Y'shtola at first, but after the Scions scattered, she was the first one you saved, and I kind of ended up pinning my hopes on her at the time. I found I enjoyed her gentle, calm demeanor and subtle irony, and sought emotional comfort in her presence while searching for Minfilia and the others.
Hell, Heavensward made me like all the Scions.
>hey if you remove the lose state nobody will lose
Wow what a big brain
Then nobody serious about the game would run anything but RDM for DPS.
Essentially making DPS meaningless. Good idea. Why don't we take all PLD's with 2 healers then? Doesn't matter how long the fight takes, right?
>just remove the entire purpose of dps classes
Imagine playing on a NA Datacenter. Fucking christ. thank god i don't have to deal with this shit ever, and can easily clear all content, savage included.
You should really look into Minfilia's backstory from 1.0. She's one of the most well-written characters in the whole game despite the hate she gets. The problem is that they assumed everyone played 1.0 and totally left out her original character arc. She's an extremely lonely and lost person in way over her head and she doesn't know how to actually deal with the mission Louisoix pushed on her. ARR is basically the story of Minfilia's downfall, with her dependence on higher powers, after she was once a strong and capable leader in 1.0, makes her a human analogue of the beastmen and their primals.
The DPS meta is the best thing about this game. It gives tanks and healers something else to do. Also puts shitty tanks and healers in their place for refusing to do damage.
Even if you removed DPS checks it still wouldn't affect the "maximize DPS" meta. Once your group has mastered the mechanics well enough to survive, all you can do is try to down the boss faster. DPS is the only thing you can optimize. Mitigating more damage or healing more won't make the fight end sooner. All you need is the bare minimum tanking/healing/mechanics compliance needed to survive the fight and then all other effort can be directed towards damage. Doing more DPS has nothing but benefits. It lets you skip mechanics, and makes mechanics phases shorter, which reduces the likelihood of someone screwing up.
Only way the DPS meta would ever be broken is if they start having encounters where the objective isn't to kill the boss, or where the boss can only be killed by doing something besides attacking it.
the problem with this is that a meta will always exist, no matter how they balance it, players just have to stop being turbo autists about it, just because the meta comp is the fastest way to kill a fight doesn't mean it will definitely work for you or your group
also, players want healers to heal and not dps, problem is, outgoing damage is so sparse that not doing dps means just standing around 90% of the time, they would have to increase the amount of outgoing damage to have a leg to stand on and I can't see them doing that
as for tanks, keeping aggro is piss easy since they buffed aggro generation and massively buffed shit like diversion, so they really don't need to squat in tank stance, very rarely do you need tank stance to survive shit, you have cooldowns for that
no dps checks and you remove the reason why you would even really need to bring dps
"Maximize DPS meta" is redudant anyway because that's what meta is by definition - the best, most effective way to reach the goal. Of course people will want to maximize their numbers, that's what video games are like.
WoWfags that still defend the game and try to shit on others despite being the most JUST of the three mmos you see often (ESO, XIV, WoW) especially classicfags but in all honesty they seem so on the nose that I'm thinking they're not even that but just shitposters.
That's pretty interesting, all right. I could never get comfortable with her becoming Hydaelyn's "puppet", and I guess that's part of the reason.
imagine being a wowfag that spends most of their day shitposting to cope
There's a classic, private and normie wowthread on /vg/. You've plenty of homes retard. /xivg/ is inhospitable besides unless you're a rabid erper or otherwise after attention.
While I agree, you can always unsub for a few months and come back when new content drops. Also the subscription model keeps out filipinos and brazilian shitters who tend to flood every f2p game.
The dps race is such a retarded thing. If it takes you ten hours to beat a boss, you should be able to take ten hours if you can. Why not reward perseverance? There should be other ways to make a boss challenging besides an arbitrary "you lose" timer
>ffx and ffx-2 at the top
FINALLY a based post. Now all we need is someone to call out these former classic wow private server trannies.
Welcome to MMOs. Everything you do is pointless in the end and if vaguely relevant beyond one expansion (or in WoW's case patch) it'll get shut down eventually anyway.
DPS jobs have no other responsibility but "put out this much damage in this amount of time". You can make different lose conditions like attrition where the enemy becomes more powerful over time until your healers or support can no longer keep up but it's the same thing in the end. If there's no lose state there's no point in having a game.
>Why are MMOs dying, bros?
When raid instances became THE thing in MMOs. Open world PvP sandboxes would be the good shit but this new generation of gamers is too pussy to play games like that, they just want to show everyone how much their gearscore is
We cozy lore thread hours now.
>DPS jobs have no other responsibility but "put out this much damage in this amount of time"
They have the responsibility to stay alive, follow mechanics, keep the adds off the tank and healer, take down secondary targets, and kill the boss. Adding a time limit to that achieves nothing of value.
It's just particularly bad in XIV because the game emphasizes DPS so strongly.
Because bosses are purely scripted and require very little to zero complex interaction on the part of the players, there are not really any boss fights where everyone only has to do their roles to a "good enough" standard and the challenge comes from executing the boss's specific requirements (e.g. stuns, debuffs, kiting, add management, arena manipulation, weakness exploitation). This makes bosses easy to design and balance but ultimately turns every single encounter into "play this boss's specific version of simon says while optimizing damage". DPS checks are just a kind of filler mechanic to create challenge, because they have no other way of doing that, neither the jobs nor the fight AI are complex enough to allow it.
>that BLM who always says healers need to adjust but their damage is fucking piss anyway
>They have the responsibility to stay alive
So do tanks and healers
>follow mechanics,
so do tanks and healers
> keep the adds off the tank and healer,
Most often in MMOs tanks tank adds, not DPS
>take down secondary targets,
so do tanks and healers
>and kill the boss.
Why do we need DPS if tanks and healers can do this now that there's no time limit?
>and the challenge comes from executing the boss's specific requirements (e.g. stuns, debuffs, kiting, add management, arena manipulation, weakness exploitation)
They had that. They tried to do that. Guess what? People couldn't fucking do that.
How did you get to Stormblood without getting cynical about all twists getting cop-outs. You are too pure for any mmo community, user. Someone please protect this sprout.
Since when do dps keep adds off tanks and healers? Have you never heard of an offtank?
So far in this thread I've seen people admitting to being clickers and claiming DPS don't need to do damage. Holy fuck the state of this fucking game.
Also based when it comes to minfilia. Not her fault the story was dogshit and kept forcing you back to waking sands to pass time. She's actually very quite in japanese and likable unlike the localization/dub. Y'sthola is... each to their own.
>So do tanks and healers
And? The whole party sharing responsibilities doesn't magically undo them.
>Most often in MMOs tanks tank adds, not DPS
Pulling aggro doesn't kill them. DPS does.
>so do tanks and healers
No, they tank and heal.
>Why do we need DPS if tanks and healers can do this now that there's no time limit?
Yes, you should be able to break up the holy trinity if you want to. It's not as efficient, but that doesn't make it right to limit players' possibilities.
They make this shitty story up as they go along, and every time you can predict where they're going with it. If anyone is defending this game based on the "story" they're fucking delusional. I've skipped every cutscene from about halfway through SB. No regrets.
fucking Mhiggers
i know your feel
Normal mode content doesn't have DPS checks either. Complex interactive mechanics don't even exist in savage and ultimate.
Video games you're talking about don't get made anymore, fuck off, you don't even play video games you piece of shit, you just come to Yea Forums to complain and get attention, why don't you get a fucking blog when nobody has to read bullshit you write.
post ultimate clears :)
>Normal mode content doesn't have DPS checks either
It's really like you don't even play this game.
Now you might try to come back with something along the lines of "but it's so low it might not even exist!"
Well, get fucked, retard.
Why would you even take dps if you can beat a fight safely and securely with all tanks and healers??? Also tanks and healers DPS in this game, they don't just heal or tank.
If DPS provide nothing other than "sharing responsibilities" then they're fucking useless. Next you'll be asking for an easy mode you shitter.
bah
Nah, 8.2 is what they're going to shit out in time for July 2nd.
dancer is going to be good. I can feel it in my dick
>Complex interactive mechanics don't even exist in savage and ultimate
You've never stepped foot in these fights you fucking liar. Go and watch an entire fight of O3S and tell me the mechanics aren't complex.
I hope they make some unique throwing weapons like blitzballs and cards.
Keep seething tranny.
honest question, which jobs do the best AoE for their roles? like best tank, healer and dps
Depends on the situation. Some jobs have good aoe but only if the adds are alive for a certain amount of time. WHM is very good in dungeons with holy spam.
WHM, BLM, MCH, DRG/SAM, if you want among all dps definitely BLM. Dunno about tanks though.
For healers WHM packs the most punch, though depending on the rest of the group, especially in 8 mans, AST and its cards can be more worthwhile.
Don't play tanks or DPS but I think WAR/DRK and SMN/BLM are the best generally
Hello world says: Hello
t. icemage
WAR for big burst AoE every 2min, DRK for a bit more sustained AoE.
PLD has dogshit AoE though, I really hope they give them something nice, like a magic AoE spell for Req phase.
it's arr same
endgame is probably good but as a new player it sucks
leveling is unbearably boring
Hahaha they thought they were getting loli Viera.
Seriously. I'd take even something small. If they want to hold back the combat change info and the benchmark and other big stuff that's fine but give us some small shit at least. Like a QoL change that's coming or something. Something little like once a week would tide me over.
didn't the devs say they were looking into making the early levelling experience a bit more bearable? its really the only thing keeping me from recommending it to friends
>they're from southern Ilsabard
How the fuck have we not even heard of them then? Ala Mhigo is right fucking there. It's the gateway to southern Ilsabard.
>w-we will get feol!
>the a-artist said it's a loli bunnies! yoshi STOPPED her!
>they won't do a half-assed job!
>Time limit achieves nothing of value
Being good enough at your job to pass a DPS check isn't valuable? It's just ok to be ass at the game to you so long as you clear the fight? You can seriously play like shit, do a third of someone else's damage and tell yourself you "did good"? That's some genuinely sad shit if you just aren't interested in improving at it at all.
If there were no enrages, what's stopping me from taking 4 tanks 4 healers then just casually strolling through all the content?
Imagine playing anything but a Rava.
>How the fuck have we not even heard of them then?
because the devs haven't thought of them back then
>feol
where the fuck did this meme even start? weren't the feol a half breed of viera and aegyl in Revenant Wings? why did people assume they would be tiny? they looked like normal viera but with shorter ears
Sorry, picture for ants.
>Lakeland's name for Silvertear Lake is The Source
Where is that guy who's been spamming the same twitch clip for the past two months?
I'm guessing this is the "wolf face" Yoshida was talking about.
>helions are, quiet literally, orbiters
Veena is the containment clan for all the cat and au ra fags who are going to fantasia over to play a pale, minimum height "smol bun waifu".
Games is pretty good honestly but it's been riding down a slippery slope of laziness in stormblood. If they don't turn things around in shadowbringers I'll lose all faith in them.
where is this from??
Yes, pay them some $$$ and you can skip it. The end.
This looks ok desu.
What nerve did I strike here? Considering how much everyone on Yea Forums shits on this game they play I didn't expect people to get so offended just by pointing out that all the fights are fundamentally team jumprope with a time limit. I'm not saying that makes them easy, I'm just explaining that it's why DPS autism exists to the degree it does in XIV. It's basically the only thing jobs have to do besides dodge the boss's own attacks. It's possible to create fights with other requirements but XIV does not and it's not designed to.
Nothing a boss does in XIV will ever force you to set aside DPS optimization and focus on something else instead, except temporarily preventing you from attacking it so you can dodge a mechanic. In fact if a boss ever actually attempts to make you do something that is not "dps optimal", players complain.
Gunbreakers are linked to Hrothgar, Dancers to Thavnair:
The Hrothgar of northern Ilsabard have passed the art of the gunblade from one generation to the next. The weapon itself combines a sword with a firing mechanism, emitting a range of magical effects by utilizing aetherically imbued cartridges. Originally employed by Queen Gunnhildr's personal guard, they were once known as "Gunnhildr's Blades" and differ greatly from the similarly named weapons used in the Garlean Empire.
Dancer
From the Near Eastern nation of Thavnair comes a troupe of bewitchingly graceful performers. Though certainly elegant and beautiful, their movements also speak of martial discipline─of a pulsing, persistent energy whose rhythm can inspire souls and soothe troubled hearts. Inured to the hardships of the road, these dancers have learned to land throwing weapons with the same exacting precision as their footfalls, removing any who any who would obstruct the endless beat of the dance.
GUN players confirmed for betas
>Hrothgar is the official GUB race
Gotta shoehorn Hrothgar into the lore somehow.
What purpose to DPS have besides doing damage? Why not just make every class a tank or healer? In fact why attack the boss at all? Just dodge boss mechanics and "interact" with things. At the end the boss just surrenders and says "Good day!"
Fucking retard.
>Virgin: Final fantasy 14
>Chad: Final fantasy ex one vee
Not him, but desu that sounds like it could be a fun concept if it was really hard.
>"You can only be attacking or dodging, the game will never make you do anything else"
Literally what do you want? Nier Automata style Shmups randomly tossed in there? Because wait like a year I guess, it's probably coming.
>Playing Helion
I get Lost's appeal as far as them being knockoff Ronso with the horn feature, but they can never make Helion look right.
I just started playing ff14 recently because I need to kill some time until classic release and that nier raid looked pretty interesting. Got to level 16 today, so far I haven't talked to a single player, my health never went lower than 70% and I've got only 2 abilities to use. Mobs aren't difficult to deal with but it takes forever to kill them. This is the very definition of boring game design.
>Bardam's mettle EX
Sounds kinda sick actually.
>Love Paladins
>Always play Paladins in games.
>Want to play Paladin.
>Paladin is Sword and Board.
>Dark Knight uses the Great Sword, my usual pick for the Paladin.
The path of the righteous is difficult.
Wannabe Garleans BTFO.
Maybe GUN can serve as a sort-of substitute for spellblades/mystic knight in the same way AST is a substitute for time mage. I wouldn't mind that. Would kill for some kind of runic skill.
>paladin
>no shield
Go away fake paladin
Yeah, the worst fight in the entire expansion. You can just go to gold saucer and play the dodge naughty circles minigame.
>tfw runic is a defensive cooldown that mitigates magic damage like dark mind and converts some of the damage into MP
to be fair, from the looks of things, this does feel like the closest thing to a mystic knight we are going to get
Real Paladins use big fuck off hammers. If you use a shield it's because you're a faithlet who can actually be harmed because your god doesn't love you.
Make sure to kick all Veena from your parties and FCs.
Dark Knights lorewise are closer to classic Paladins than XIV's Paladins are. XIV's Paladins are simply the royal guard of Ul'dah. They were once magical knights of the goddess of law, but that was hundreds of years ago. Meanwhile Dark Knights are vigilantes who work in Ishgard because they realized they couldn't legally fight corruption and protect the innocent if the culprits were church officials. They draw their magic from the power of love.
>Hailing from the distant shores of Ilsabard, the Hrothgar are a burly people of lionlike appearance—or the males are, at least. Females number staggeringly few among their population, and thus are rarely so much as glimpsed by the other races.
>or the males are, at least.
If we get femronso they're going to petite lolis.
Dark knights are champions of justice too, just a more vigilante kind of justice rather than policeman's.
Something about from the bottom looking up not from the top looking down.
Almost all paladins use shields in classic role-playing. Usually with a mace not a sword. This thing of paladins using 2 handed weapons only started with Warcraft.
so hrothgar are (mostly) a race really devoted to their queen?
is it gonna be a situation where only one female is born in every so many years and they are always heir to the throne or some shit, cause i can dig that
Oh no fuck off not again, do you want to get BTFO one more time?
If your bun isn't at least this browned then it is no bun at all.
It's more likely desu. Just a repeat of Au Ra.
Kinda hope that's not the case, though. Then again I'd almost really rather we never got new races at all.
seems more like they serve as private army of this particular queen of unknown race
Leveling in ffxiv is pretty bad but you're about at the first dungeon. Try to find a leveling guild for some people to play with and talk it and it isn't bad at all.
actual raid tranny ama
I was expecting them to be a tribal/hunter like race from their garb and appearance, but apparently they're advanced enough to have tech to resist the Garleans?
New page confirms that Amh Araeng is based off of Thanalan, Il Mheg is based off of Coerthas, Rak'tika is based off of the Shroud and Kholusia is based off of La Noscea.
All new zones are on the 1st.
I'm Pussy?
The Nier raid will not be good, hate to break it to you. 24 man raids in this game are a joke and unless you're behind on gear you have no reason to do them more than once.
I remember before SB I was really looking forward to playing through some Ivalice styled raids. God was i disappointed. It'll just be some shallow references to Nier. If that's all you're looking forward to I would suggest not going any further.
The game does get more interesting to play but only from about 60 onwards. And you'll never have to seriously worry about dying until 70.
They haven't resisted anything. Garlemald has had total dominion over Ilsabard for over 50 years. But it is weird that they have advanced magitek weapons while they dress in tribal rags.
>femronso are full on kemono
>Queen is an upset Fujoshit who punishes her royal guard by having them dress in gay trench coats.
It seems to work out fine for 2hu.
Wait... is this going to be a lazy attempt to use already existing zones and just redesigning them? Adding some pretty flowers and shit? Please no.
>femronso were burmecians all along
Are you retarded? Have you ignored every piece of media of the new maps?
have you seen the new areas? they are nothing alike
Now we have official confirmation that every zone is a mirror to one of Eorzea's region/city-states:
eu.finalfantasyxiv.com
The Flood of Light rendered the vast majority of the First devoid of life, with Norvrandt remaining as the last bastion. Being a reflection of the Source, its climates and environs resemble those of Eorzea, though the cultures of its diverse range of inhabitants have taken an entirely different course over its troubled history.
I don't spend time researching every bit of info about unreleased games. Occasionally browsing Yea Forums is the only thing i do outside of playing games.
>New page confirms that Amh Araeng is based off of Thanalan
I'm very interested in the lore with this. Thanalan is a desert because of the Calamity of Fire. Before that it was a thick forest. So why is it a desert on the First when there was no reason for the Ascians to make a Calamity of Fire there? Calamities happen on the Source.
>researching
They have fucking videos of the new zones on ffxiv youtube channel.
>Rak'tika was once home to the Ronkans
>dungeon there will obviously be the Ronkan Ruins
Who's ready for the Soken remix of this?
youtube.com
I would happily accept a ronkan ruin dungeon
especially if its flying through the sky
That lakeland looks suspiciously like Mor Dhona with pink flowers in all actual gameplay.
Calamities happen on all Shards as well. Cosmic resonance shit.
Yoshi is taking too much from wow.. this is too much like warlords of draenor, complete with the expansion looking rushed and unfinished. The red flags grow more numerous by the day.
That can't be, because there is no Dalamud on the First. They didn't have a Bahamut Calamity, so why would they have had others?
>Shadowbringers of Draenor
>now with allied races
there were like 6 calamities that predate bahamut
They are, they've made me get off so many times.
That Hrothgar lore and Gunbreaker origins are fucking cringe.
I know, but that's on our world. Bahamut didn't happen on the First, so why would any of the others have happened there? Ascians don't need to create Calamities on other worlds, they only need to make them happen on the Source to weaken the dimensional barrier.
>dwarwes live on mt. gulg
>finally can here one of my favourite songs in the series
youtube.com
>Person complains about Hrothgar
>They're always a male miqote
Why is this???
Yeah when i heard the alternate universe/timeline shit my first thought were WoD and how unoriginal it was. The actual FF14 world is so huge, why wouldn't they just make an expansion in any other of the numerous place in the world, or even just Garlemald.
Didn't they claim they had a huge budget for Stormblood? After seeing how that turned out and how I've heard Yoshi P is working on other projects now, coupled with classic coming out, I'm starting to get worried it'll be a mess.
Maybe something else happened to make it a desert? I mean Shroud looks like a fucking jungle.
It's not like this is a budget-saving measure either considering all actual assets are new (they were new in WoD too, it wasn't just an Outland repaint).
only lalafell can physically enter, so you're cucked lad
I hope they make trust system for savage raids as well.
eulmore aka totally not lims begs to differ
there is a good chance it's either used as dungeon music or in the area for the inevitable beast tribe quests
gee i wonder
I was more just talking about how the budget was talked about during Stormblood and how they had more money put into it, and this time round i haven't heard anything. Considering they had money to spend on Stormblood and it still ended up being boring with minimal content, I feel like things can only be worse next time.
Blue Mage should have been your first clue about that
They pretty much said that they could make models of the fat cats because they had bigger budget.
>the budget was talked about during Stormblood and how they had more money put into it,
You got memed on by Yea Forums.
Yoshida is not working on other projects. Square Enix is restructuring its business divisions and Yoshi is going to be head of Development Division 3. He's already currently head of Business Division 5, which is the MMO division that oversees XI and DQX as well, but he is just the manager of the division, he does not have an active development role in other projects besides XIV. The same goes for whatever new titles they've recently said are in the works, even if they're being made in Yoshi's division he's not actually working on them.
The Stormblood having a higher budget thing was always a myth that for some fucking reason still persists to this day apparently. At this point I'm convinced it was made up by trolls or competitor shills to try and elevate expectations for Stormblood to ridiculous levels, making it seem like a disappointment when it eventually came out.
It's the best MMO out there, but the gameplay is excruciatingly slow. I had a 60-day free trial, played basically every day and still didn't reach the end of the base game. I bought the expansions and still haven't seen them after 2 months of daily playing
>invest "budget" into store mounts
Yeah money well spent!
I'm not talking about mounts you retard.
you playing for like 10 minutes a day or what bro
No they mentioned this themselves in one of their fanfest videos, i remember it specifically because they were talking about the lack of content in HW and how they would have a bigger budget for SB to prevent this
It wasn't though, it was said by them in a fanfest video before SB. Why would trolls claim it had a bigger budget beforehand? They're playing some sort of 3 year long game to laugh at people?
source me, because iirc the whole extra budget thing was a meme
I am willing to accept I am wrong, but I will need a source
>implying their first thoughts when designing the new fat cats weren't making money from the store
Oh you poor fool.
Give a source on the video then. If it happened, it should exist, right? I watched all 3 fanfests before Stormblood and recall absolutely no mention of the budget. I don't know what you think you're getting out of this.
No, more than a few hours a day, it's moreso that I leveled 4 crafting classes and 2 gathering classes alongside the main one which was a Monk
I'm not going to that trouble but if they save their fanfest videos I'm sure you'll find the SB ones on youtube.
He's talking about the fatass hedonist Miqo'te/Mystel from the trailer you dumbass.
I get nothing out of it, i remember Yoshida sitting there with his buddy and talking about how there was a content drought in the later parts of HW and how they had more of a budget this time around to add more things to fill in the gaps.
>I'm not going to that trouble
I don't even believe what you say, I'm not going to surf through old fanfest videos for info I am sure doesn't exist
you need to back up your assertions dude, there is no evidence that they had a bigger budget for SB
That makes sense then. But combat feels a bit slower lower levels since most enemies don't have many attacks. I think it will pick up a bit once you see higher level dungeons.
Well neither am I. It could have been one of their live letters after fanfest or inbetween. I'm not sure exactly when but it was before the release of SB
>Beyond the boundaries of Norvrandt lies the Empty─a land drowned in the primordial light of the Flood. To redress the balance of the elements, our hero must wield a power the likes of which the First has never known. The power of Eden.
Doesn't really sound particularly FF8
is this on the shadowbringers site?
How autistic do you have to be to think someone is going to go digging through videos on youtube for something that was probably mentioned within about 30 seconds, to show evidence to someone on Yea Forums?
Yiss
Why it should be ff8?
well, you should look around some more before posting shit that likely isn't even true
its not just you, I saw the whole increased budget thing on reddit and the OF as well, but no one could source it, no one
I thought they would have an idea if they could claim that, but they don't, nor does anyone else I have asked in the past, they really should do some research before making bullshit assertions
It doesn't, but the name Eden does have an established place in FF. I imagine it will be using Eden with an original FFXIV storyline, similar to Omega.
I guess it is pretty autistic to expect people to back up their claims and do something besides constantly spew horseshit and lies
Before the thread goes to the archive, should I switch from Phoenix to Ragnarok/Cerberus?
I've heard good things about those worlds
>i heard good things about a mix of raidtrannies and frenchies
rent free
Why? I thought Phoenix is supposed to be decent.
I created an alt on Chaos and honestly it's been a horrible experience, it feels like moogle are the good guys when you get constant garbage people from omega.
It is true, i remember having high hopes for SB after quitting at the end of HW because there was nothing to do. It's not a fucking courtroom you faggot.
the only thing that will change is that you will be playing with more baguettes than krauts
either way, you lose
well they're right. i remember him saying this too and it wasn't on reddit is was the dev saying it.
Because Nomura is designing the bosses and Eden is the name of a GF in FF VIII, which Nomura directed. Also gunblade job etc, Shadowbringers seems to have mostly FF III, IV and VIII flavors.
Just dont bother replying if you're going to be going for good goyim reddit upboats
Its decent, I guess. I've just never found a good FC and in the Yea Forums threads every EU user usually shills either Cerberus or Ragnarok.
That faggot Viera twitch dude btfo with the small viera
>it's true
>but I can't source it
no one can ever fucking source it because its not fucking true
stop spouting trash you can't fucking prove
>Hrothgars are more advanced than Eorzeans until Cid arrived
>Originally employed by Queen Gunnhildr's personal guard, they were once known as "Gunnhildr's Blades"
The AF weapon will be Save the Queen won't it.
I dont get the french german meme, never had an issue. Atleast compared to other online games I've played.
I play on Odin and now with my alt on Cerberus and honestly I haven't seen much difference. Only more French because moogle.
Why change from Phoenix? I can't speak for Ragnarok but i came from Cerberus to Phoenix and its community is fucking trash. Phoenix may not be the best raiding server, but raiding is what you make it. I've cleared every savage fight within a good time with my static on Phoenix. I remember not meeting a single decent person on Cerberus.
I want garuda to sit on my face
i can offer you a spot in a dead fc on odin
>DONT YOU SAY MEAN THINGS ABOUT MY VIDEOGAME
>retarded cats invented gunblades
>garleans aped it from them
>also, the empire only created to serve ascians
lmao how JUST can the empire be at this point in time?
>I just want to explore a huge world with other people.
that's the opposite of raids retard, raids are all instanced boss fights
>I can't source it because I am wrong
>better reply with a wojak
way to accept your loss with dignity
open a new thread
there is likely going to be some asspull about garlean refugees creating them
Guess I'm staying then
No thanks, I'd rather take a shitty active FC over a dead one.
I'd invite you to our FC on Phoenix but i'm not coming back to the game for another 2-3 weeks.
>soul
>soulful
>souless
>dragoon
Alright, ask for me in the threads when you're back, user.
sounds kino
>8 hour boss fight where everyone just chills and autoattacks while talking about their day
Germans are fine. The french thing is 100% true. 99% of french players I've met are god awful.
so ffxi basically
New thread:
frenchs in ffxiv are the worst players period in every single type of content
besides not bothering to write in english, they constantly fuck up and rage
>dignity
>posting and arguing with retards on Yea Forums
Yeah you're a fucking loser too fren
I dunno, krauts don't tend to be any better, they are like the french, but more angry
>arguing
I just asked for a source friend
Please don't chain link threads like that. Let the old thread fall off and then make another one.
Well my major experience was raiding with a German brother and sister for about a year from the start of SB. Both were our best players mechanically and worked really well with everyone. Unfortunately the brother stopped playing and his sister lost interest not long after. We cleared all savage content up to and including God Kefka.
