The designs are not half bad, but I despise Borderland's randomized stat values in order to inflate and obfuscate the actual number of guns in the game.

The OP says MALIWAN guns look like Destiny guns. That's not a Maliwan gun. If you've never played borderlands, you get "randomly generated" guns from different manufacturers. Maliwan tends produce sci-fi elemental weapons.

One thing I cannot understand about guns in BL3 is how will the weapon generation work?
I mean, judging from the pre-released concepts and models of the guns, they seem to have all their parts coming from one manufacutrer. Does this mean we will no longer have these frankenstein guns, where each part of the gun was from different manufacturer, and that now each manufacturer will have a set of their own parts, that kinda resemble the other manufacturer, but still maintain their own style?

BL1 did it right. The scaling was out of control as the level caps increased, but it had the right idea. You dealt with ammo scarcity at the start, it gradually becomes less of a real issue during fights and more of a time-wasting chore between them as you get more upgrades and maybe the occasional Tediore legendary, and right as it does, around two-thirds through the first playthrough, you start seeing more and more ammo regen on COMs that let you make the chore go away for at least one favored weapon type. It doesn't need to scale quite as crazily as BL1, where at max level it could practically outpace a continually-firing x4 Anarchy SMG, but give it to more than one character and higher than TPS's tiny trickle.

Dahl has pretty extensive lore for a brand that doesn't have much to do with the story (they're behind most off the mining operations on Pandora before the Pandoran winter ended, which caused them to bail, and the mining operations on the moon before they started the crackening).
Hyperion is obvious.
Atlas is also obvious, and are returning under new ownership
Maliwan is coming in hot
Torgue is Torgue.
Childen of the Vault is of course important.

Vladof and Tediore have basically no role anywhere, Jakobs too aside from that one bit in BL1 with zombie island.

Man what the fuck are you talking about? I picked up Practical Fiber in normal difficulty and I went with it well into the UVHM mode. That was 50 000 damage per shot with sub 30 level gun using Gaige and I know it was stupid, but when I then played the Gunzerker, I was outraged for a while that I actually have to aim at stuff to kill it.
I wasn't even playing by the screen, I was just using a minimap, just looking for red dots.
Only thing that put a bump in my way were Dragons of Destruction and that was mostly because I didn't notice that the floor is not ricocheting my rounds.

Taking a cue from Tediore, digistructed bullets. When you reload you don't put in more bullets, you slap on a new power core that powers the gun.

Digistructing is too slow for that though, even swapping weapons (since your weapons are all stored as data and digistructed into your hands when you swap) takes a second. Digistructing bullets, even if it pre-constructed ahead of the currently fired round(s) would severely limit the rate of fire especially for a minigun-style weapon.

Borderlands is intentionally over the top and ridiclious, stop being morons. There's litterally a gun that slows your movement and damages you and screams at you every time you try to fire it, and a shotgun that has it's pellets in smiley face spreads

It's the only thing that makes these unrealistic designs make any sense. Hell, it's even made a bit blatant when you use Maliwan weapons, because when you reload the guns lights turn off then flicker back on after you reload.

The good news is that gearbox agrees it's retarded so Vladofs reverted to more realistic minigun barrels. the underside is now for attachments for that brand.

I really hope that they increase the hard cap on fire rates for BL3. Automatics in BL2 could not fire faster than 900 RPM without multi shot accessories, so the gatling weapons were always chugging along at such a leisurely pace that makes you question why its even got more than one barrel. Enough skills and mod effects can also bring single barrelled weapons to the hard cap so the windup time becomes an unnecessary hindrance.

The main problem with fire rate in BL2 is that it works in break points, and the break points have a bigger difference at faster fire rates. You end up having guns with different listed RoF actually having the same.

Krieg was the most devoted to one element, but in fact his tree was about all elements.
All elements gave stacks and stacks affected all elements.
Some other skills like increased weapons swap speed emphasized using all of the elements as well. I typically swapped weapons up to like 5 times per second always hitting each enemy for bonus damage.
Focusing on one element simply fucks you over when you're facing enemies immune to it and is also less fun.

Like, Krieg's Bloodsphosion is a fun skill to use. But combine it with a Singularity grenade it goes into broken territory.

Tediore guns rule

Only spits out 2 at the most, and usually only 1. A proper MIRV gun would be shitting out 5+ mini grenades.

Meteor Shower, essentially the same thing but a higher trajectory and smaller spread. Also, usually more child nades (goes up to 12, whereas the BP caps at 8-9 i think). It'd be overpowered as fuck, so naturally it won't happen.

Like if you found out by pursuing some optional stuff that delves into a character's backstory that would be okay but me when they outright tell you they are gay without anything really leading to that line of conversation its obnoxious. A character's sexuality should be an absolute non issue in the first place. It's all just so trashy fanfic how its presented 90% of the time. There are some exceptions but generally speaking you never really need to know if a character likes if it dangles or not.
