>tfw a boss beats your ass so bad you become scared of booting up the game again
Tfw a boss beats your ass so bad you become scared of booting up the game again
How the fuck do I beat Snake Eyes at the Gun Fort? She's somehow harder than Genichiro
Go somewhere else and get more damage and HP, when you come back she will be trivial
are you me lmfao. that and demon of hatred
Deflect everything. She always shoots after kicking, so wait and dodge that.
after i beat him, i never wanted to play this shit game ever again
How the FUCK do I beat the Lone Shadow Vilehand?!
>lone shadow
>lmao 2 vilehands kek
Fuck this bullshit.
You do realize you can backstab the spare, right user.
there's a route in the castle that lets you get behind one of the vilehands and you can use the puppeteer shinobi art to gank the remaining one
>mfw trying to get the trophy for all skills
This is ridiculous. The exp requirement gets outrageous and I still need like over 30 points or something for all these garbage "ultimate" skills that I would never use.
Thanks, Anons.
That helps.
I know that feel, took a break a week ago and I still haven't gone back
I haven't even tried Genichiro I'm just lurking around killing mini bosses like a bitch.
After you get rid of his spare you can just focus on sidestepping and giving him plenty of space when he starts his 25-hit green hand combo. I'm serious, you see the green hand, you give that nonsense space, because he just keeps going and going. Beyond that is just practice and thankfully the idol is right there, so good luck user.
Chained Ogre : 1 Try
Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen: 3 Tries
Lady Butterfly: 5 Tries
Gyoubu: 1 Try
General Naomori Kawarada: 1 Try
General Tenzen Yamauchi: 2 Tries
Juzou the Drunkard: 2 Tries
Blazing Bull: 3 Tries
Armored Warrior: 2 Tries
Lone Shadow Longswordsman: 1 Try
General Kuranosuke Matsumoto: 2 Tries
Seven Ashina Spears - Shikibu Toshikatsu Yamauchi: 2 Tries
Ashina Elite - Jinsuke Saze: 1 Try
Long Arm Centipede Sen-Un: 2 Tries
>Lady Butterfly: 5 Tries
really?
Fought her 3rd, after the shinobi hunter and ogre. Didn't have any prayer necklaces or attack power and I was still learning the game
Got him.
Now onto big daddy Owl upstairs.
Good job, user. Good luck with Owl, it's a pretty good fight.
>block
>ichimonji
>block
>ichimonji
Repeat until deathblow.
>get destroyed like 15 times in a row
>go to bed in frustration
>wake up and beat him first try
wtf. Pretty fucking kino boss though. Good ass game. Now if only I could get the Demon of Hatred to stop decimating me instantly
>bitching about an autistic thing needs autistic things to do
Bruh.
Jump back from her grab.
Use poison
>Demon of Hatred
been taking my time on this guy, he's been thrashing me good
>was literally facing this dilemma with demon of hatred
>beat him
>now deja vu with isshin
this game is very offensive to us Chinese. stupid japanese openly show death word on screen but to Chinese it is bad luck and omen
It’s generally expected to take MORE tries than that. Since the game is balanced around fighting her later
youtube.com
>all these replies
yet no one has revealed the true strat, just stand back until she does the REALLY high damage shot she has to charge, then just run until it stops tracking before the shot and get a stab in before running away again, extremely simple and guaranteed to work
Got it on NG, quit crying.
Poison
Sabimaru chain after a stealth deathblow makes her easy
Use ash to make an opening if you need to
HUGE DICK NG9 player here. Ishin is honestly kinda easy cuz you can fuck up his posture. You know which boss does not get credit for actually being the hardest? FUCKING DEMON OF HATRED. 3 BIG DICK heath bars bullshit damage and infinite posture. ishin is a bitch boy in comparison.
youtube.com
What about this
How the FUCK do you get it on NG? Was I just too good at the game that I blazed through it and didn't get enough skill points?
>being scared of a video game
You know that if you die in the game you don't die irl right
You know you can attempt an unlimited amount of times as well don't you?
you can deflect the grab on the pull back
I didn't want to spoil user on the OST
No xp system is absolute bullshit. I went to ng6 plus farming to get all skills.
The real big brain strat is to just do snake skip
I can understand, I just really love his music because it really has that sense of anguish in it
probably by grinding
Farmed the points at fountainhead.
just use cheats, zoomfriend
Yeah I still haven't beaten him. But I found out that Divine Confetti is strong against him and if you have the last Finger Whistle upgrade(Malcontent) you can use that 3 times in the fight to stun him for free damage. Good luck bro we're all gonna make it
>corrupted monk OST
>no laughing
How am I supposed to enjoy this shit
You were probably a retard and wasted your points on Attack Points
>Midir has a bloated health b-
>mfw i cheese him
Sorry anons it had to be done
If you run to the left, you can catch him while he's doing some attack animations. I guess Fromsoft can never get out of the habit of making bosses that are beaten by strafing.
youtube.com
By hearing it in another song
In all honesty idk what you expect them to do.
hug his demon arm and watch for his scoop dash
when hes at distance he'll do ranged fire attacks, run as close as you can and block with the fire sheild
i thought true monk was way more techincal
>tfw wasn't any good at this game but managed to push forward and get to Sword Senpai
>tfw this fight finally forced me to get good at this game and when I finally beat it I didn't even need a revive
pretty confident that bitch boi Genichiro will never touch me again after the amount of times I had to fight him to finally beat Isshin
Demon of hatred doesn't use any of the more complex mechanics of the game, no interplay with you and enemies taking turns blocking/deflecting and trying to gain frame advantage, a sweep is the only perilous attack and then there's the explosion that you can jump from, otherwise it's just about dodging with no iframes or running. It's like a souls boss but without iframes and with very generous running, so it ends up shallow and boring compared to the duels IMO. If he only had phase 1 and 2, and those phases had like 25-50% less posture (rewarding aggression and staying close), then it would be a decent miniboss, like a juiced up Ogre.
tfw got the memory bell and just fucked off to hirata estate before fighting ogre
tfw bashed my head against lady butterfly with only two gourds and default health as my first boss
tfw had no clue what I was doing, didn't know how to dodge cheese her or knock her off the wires
tfw came out of that fight as a parry god and everything up until Owl was pretty much trivial
Stop mashing attack on her. Hit two times then wait for her attack.
He does chip damage on deflects on some of his attacks iirc, and you don't have iframes to use dodge on its own, so I'm pretty sure it's fully intended for you to strafe all or most of his attacks.
Just like Dancer of the Boreal Valley and no steps
This bitch.
Stick around 5-6 meters away from him, your goal is to bait him into using his 3-attack whip-hand combo, when the 2nd swing misses, rush him while he's charging up the overhead swing final attack. You get 4-5 free hits in. Everything else you run backwards and attack him when his animation is ending. Red mark is always jump. When his body starts glowing yellow, thats when he's going to jump, easy to predict and dodge.
2nd and 3rd phase try not to get too far away from him, that huge forward firewall and later circle of fire attacks can be a bitch to avoid.
When you run towards him, he almost always throws fire at your direction so bait that attack first before going in, run towards him, then U-turn when he is about to throw fire at you. This boss really reminds me of the poison dragon boss in DS2.
What was I supposed to do with the monkeys? I kind of just chased them around. I killed two back to back, and then chased the hearing monkey while throwing shuriken.
There were rooms that helped you to get closer to them according to what ability they had. Orange loud monkey is the easiest to catch so its the first kill. Seeing Monkey I accidentally stumbled across on a rooftop and got a free kill. Hearing monkey I lured next to the bell, rang the bell and killed him while he was stunned. Last monkey is an invisible one who follows you around and you can hear him, so you either go into the waterfall room or the muddy room to see where he's going, just slash the air around where his foot prints stop.
Oh yeah, just beat Owl!
>tfw Owl is on his last stretch of health and I'm out of Gourd sips and Fireworks
>use the almighty art of tossing ash in opponent's face
>defeat him as he's wiping ash out his eyes
So this is the true power of the Shinobi.
>Fireworks
Good job, user.
Well done, user. That's some great progress you've done.
It's obvious that he mean the fistful of ash
Firecrackers, whatever.
I'm just excited is all.
I picked up on the rooms, but I had no idea how I could maneuver the monkeys into them. I'm kind of glad I didn't have to. I'm glad I didn't have the fourth monkey spoiled for me, though.
I thought I was just supposed to kill the shadows. When that didn't work, I noticed another set of footprints. Then, before I figured it out for real, I thought for a moment that they were Sekiro's and that I was supposed to suicide.
I watched some guides and he really doesn't seem too difficult.
Once he gets to the 3rd phase its basically over since lightning is so easy to redirect.
ive said pretty much the same thing before every boss ans get bodied for an hour
currently fighting owl at top of the castle how much do i have left?
here's hoping for a lot, really enjoying the game
This is an amusing thought process at least. For me it was obvious one of the monkeys is following me, when I can hear him clearly making noises even when theres no other monkeys close to me and theres prints behind me.
Not a whole lot, really, though there's one pretty neat area ahead, and a handful of bosses.
How big is the difficulty spike when moving on to NG+? I remember DS3's NG+ was really easy, but Demon's Souls was stupidly hard
Where is the place for the best exp and sen?
I thought it was when Ashina gets invaded.
I'm about to head into Fountainhead now but I forgot where and when I can get my grind on.
It didn't feel like much of a jump at all, really, but I'm only up to Owl and still have endgame to go through.
Fountainhead is the best place I think. I remember making lots of money there, but I don't remember about experience exactly.
literally the hardest fucking thing in this game is Headless
what the actual fuck am i supposed to do to this asshole
Get blue gourd that cures Terror, Get minimum 2 Divine Confetti. Dont lock onto him, swing your sword on his sides and attempt to to get behind him by just swinging your sword. Headless may grab your soul out of your ass but he's weak against attacks from behind too. You basically play a game of slow-motion grab-ass with him.
Land-based headless can be something vaguely resembling fun if you have the Lilac Umbrella.
Underwater Headless are just miserable.
And the rewards for fighting either variant aren't worth it at all.
wait doesn't the fourth monkey appear after killing the other three? that's what happened with me
>demon of hatred stops fighting at the whistle because it is the same whistle his shinobi partner used to use
same boat. i'm at the mini boss before him. also have to kill a named general in front of the main door surrounded by like 5 dudes, have the purple ninja in the well and the spear guy near there.
in fact i haven't played in a week. the game legit makes me not want to play sometimes.
Ako sugar divine confetti and pacifying agent.
Hit it until it die.
Oh god, you're so dumb.
His fire hand deals damage even if you parry.
His normal hand deals no damage if you parry.
His combo is fire->fire->normal->fire. So you dodge 2 times, parry, then dodge again.
His charge and 2nd phase aoe you can dodge by feather.
This boss is very good unlike to souls shit. Just git gut and learn patterns, that makes every fight really good in Sekiro.
I only just started it but it seems like your posture ramps up pretty quick if you block attacks without perfect deflecting. Seems like mini bosses are also balanced to kill you in the same amount of hits they would have as your first time encountering them your first playthrough
>stealth deathblow
How the fuck do you a stealh deathblow on her? The only way to reach her area is landing on her face while being isntanlty spotted even with the gachiin sugar
>tfw he thanks wolf for killing him
>tfw wolf doesn't even realize who it was
Actually he's the one who will do things to your asshole
You can run to the left, you'll see a cliff you can jump on on and wall hug around the corner. There's a bridge you can run across, which will alert the gun bitches, but if you run down til the hole and run back, Snake Eyes will have de aggro'd
Chad Shintoism vs Virgin Daoism
Run to the top left side, crawl by the wall, get to the middle of the bridge while dodging shots, then U-turn and return back, she might still be on yellow alert so wait it out.
Jump slashing messes with Her AI. She seems confused as to what to do about it
And will remain on the defensive.
You forgot the part where he sticks your soul inside his own ass. Ancient mythology can be fucking weird sometimes. Like the scandinavian "fertility" rocks next to fields, that resembled giant penises.
don't know why I found this so funny. I can't even imagine how fucking frustrating she was and you just kept doing it.
>So, you know who that was, huh?
>...no
YOU DUMBASS BLIND DOG STOP THINKING ABOUT KURO'S NAKED BODY FOR HALF A SECOND.
Ashina Dojo->Antechamber->Old Grave route is the best
Maybe he knew but didn’t want to have a deep conversation so he said no.
I do that sometimes.
You have one of the best places to head to next.
You're autistic?
Look up malcontent whistle
was in your same boat
confetti, and pacifying agent
his attacks are easy to parry
make sure to use another confetti if the first runs out
maybe you can leave them for later when you have the terror gourd
It spawns right away, you can kill it right at the start of the fight since it spawns right behind you.
Use puppeteer on the other 3 shooters then lead her on the poison pits
any hints for this dildo? Learning each phase getting tedious
I can't fucking beat Isshin. Been stuck for three days. Call me salty or whatever but a 4 stage fight makes my cancer come back.
His moveset becomes more simple to deal with if you're up his ass. You're supposed to make the move on him, not the other way around. This is what the pre-fight with Genichiro teaches you, as does his quote when you die: "Hesitation is defeat." i still think phase 2 is quite horseshit though
Underwater headless are really easy, just swim around him and attack him after hie finishes his attack animations.
regular headless arent that bad when you realize you can literally just hide behind him the entire fight
Thanks for the tip, i can get through his first phase ok but learning how to read his spear is tricky
Lone shadow is a garbage translation
Isshin first form: Hit him two times after you hear a "CLANG!" and he deflects you. Now he does 3 things, either he starts the winding up slash in which case you can just run away and hit him after his move is done, 2nd he goes for a punch, then sword thrust. Eat the punch (it doesnt take health away) and then mikiri the sword thrust., 3 he might start his usual combos instead in which case deflect and try again.
Isshin 2nd and 3rd form: He's a posture boss. Deflect all his spear thrusts, when you deflect correctly, he tries a red mark thrust with slight delay. Learn to Mikiri that and his posture will be gone in no time. Don't try to chip away his health because he doesn't stagger from getting hit anymore. Final phase the exact same tactic, only when you see lightning on the screen, jump, press L1, then R1 and the idiot Isshin shocked himself.
There's a part of the arena where there's a bridge, and there's barely any plants there. His moveset become much more readable there. I forgot to mention that Chasing Slash is god-like for closing the distance without letting down your defense.
thanks, just got him
>the winding up slash
You can parry both slashes
>Eat the punch
You can parry punch and mikiri thrust
Also Isshin loves to make wide attacks, so you can jump on him.
Fountainhead is annoying.
>ENFEEBLED
>literal retard out of nowhere hits me that moment
>no resurrections
Well bitch tells me to go around.
>random lighting locks onto me so I can't swim around.
I ain't got time for this bullshit.
You're supposed to close in on him when he's doing the wind-up slash. If you do so, he'll go for the punch and a sweep. which is way easier to deal with than the Ashina Cross.
Fountainhead is surprisingly easy. Bumrush the nobles, shuriken the dogs, stealth/sabimaru/lightning reflect/anti-air deathblow the warrior women.
Good job new sword saint
different Snake Eyes bro
If I dont level up at all the entire game will my exp meter always have level 1 capacity so I can get skill points really fast?
Just beat hesitation man
God damn that was a beautiful fight lads unironically kino as fuck
Seeing the dumb advices to beat headless in this thread is funny
just use the purple umbrella and 1 confetti for each phase, attack 3 times, get under your umbrella, wait, attack 3 times, rinse and repeat until the fight is over
not even DSP needed advice to figure this out.
the state of this board.
I don't get get why DSP is regarded as the worst gamer when he still beats games like every Souls game.
I beat Owl and Fountainhead Corrupted Monk just fine afterwards.
You'll eat Grandma's cooking, won't you?
this boss is easier than fighting a headless
i got gael flashbacks from this guy and i loved every second of it
youtube.com
I unironically can't play Exoder because of that.
>dub
>doubted myself during the 2nd phase
>everything clicked about his move set at some point
>parried everything like a madman and countered every thrust
>3rd phase is lightning reversals and felt like the victory run
I swear that spear made things a little more manageable to react to since he kept using thrusts more than sweeps and the pistol shots were easy to react to. What an absolute battle that was.
You’re garbage
he did though?
this game isn't that hard
are you guys that bad?
Most players either git gud with Butterfly, or git gud with Genichiro. That's why you have guys who steamroll Butterfly only to run into a deadstop with Gen, while other players will get stuck on butterfly and then flatten Genichiro later. You either lrn2parry with one or the other.
How?
I really can't imagine taking more than 2 tries for any of these bosses.
You can get a sneak attack on her even though her backs to the wall. Just crouch up to her right side.
how do you deal with life if a game boss defeats you
PROTIP: Using Homeward Idol cures enfeeblement, but doesn't actually send you back.
t. Ninja Gaiden players
So how many ares does Tengu mask isshin show up in?
Only spots i caught him were after the horse fight and before the sunken valley.
Any other spots he shows up at?
Serious question: how am I supposed to go back to playing other hack n slash/RPG games after this? Even Dark Souls 3 feels slow and boring now.
Serpent shrine or whatever. I guess thats after Genichiro if I remember right. If you have unlocked every skill from that skill list you get from him after the horse, he gives you a new skill list.
You couldn't wait like 3 seconds to regain posture?
If you think Isshins hard now, wait until you get to him on NG+ with Demon Bell and Path of Hardships. It took me one evening and one morning (4-5 hours worth of tries) to finally beat his ass
thats the real shit right there
You don't
I can't go back to Bloodborne either
Demon of hatred is probably the easiest endgame boss
Outspace him, he gives you retarded punish opportunities after his major strings and he barely even gains any new moves on the second phases
The second you recognize 95% of his moveset youll only get hit by the whip/fireball mixup if you fail to option select it. Sprint is your main dodge against him and the only thing you should think about parrying is the stomp
>blocks
Try parry
I've found, that if you only hit her ONCE after every deflect and wait for response, it'll usually get the AI do one normal hit and not go into the harder attacks. Easiest way to build up her posebar.
>not done DS2
>not done the Witcher 3
>not done Bloodborne chalice dungeons
Holy fuck Sekiro was a mistake
I was fucking up the parries but I would've been okay if I blocked it. I just got straight up hit by the last hit before the thrust because I forgot he did it. That combo is so long
>witcher 3
My advice would be to put the difficulty on the easiest option and just autopilot through the boring combat just for the sake of the world and story
thats exactly what i did with tw3 after i realized the combat sucked major dick
and i still enjoyed it so much
I can't get past Owl just with the path of hardships by itself
That's a good idea
>Long Arm Centipede Sen-Un: 2 Tries
lmfao, shitter
Which owl, first or second? if it's the first I also had a lot of trouble with him, but try to go for his lifebar instead of posture, he leaves a lot of openings after certain attacks. Second owl was way easier for me and I was aggressive at all times, going for the posture death blow every time
if she swings from YOUR right, deflect quick.
if she swings from YOUR left, wait a second then deflect.
She will always fire right after her kick. Just dodge out of the way.
Continue until she's all postured out.
