Jesus Christ learning his inputs is fun but how the FUCK is he supposed to contest literally ANYONE with disjointed hitboxes?
Ken in Smash
Anyone?
space him
Throw some dokes at them
us Ken mains have it rough
FADC through their aerials if single hits
Use Hadokens wisely to push the use of more reckless, mispaced aerials
Use aerials or UpB Out of Shield to punish said reckless aerials
Capitalize off of openings as much as you can
You don't, all you can do is get some hard reads on the opponent and punish whiffs. Its even worse because you have less kill confirms than Ryu does.
What kill confirms does Ryu have other than jabs into shoryu?
Real talk, why the fuck did they add Ken over Shadow? Shadow is way more popular and important to the series he comes from compared to Ken.
Sourspot down air can combo into true shoryuken. Hard to pull off consistently tho
Ken has that OG echo fighter legacy to him that made fitting of the concept
Shadow has what, besides being one of the faces of the downfall of the Sonic franchise?
While I did want shadow as a playable character I'm fine with another SF rep. Just kinda wish they would have went with someone that wasn't just basically Ryu. Would have been cooler to have Akuma or even Chun LI.
UpAir1 Shoryu. Tight window since the move's a multi hit but it exists.
>People were freaking out early on about Crescent Kick into F-smash being a true combo
>It isn't
Real talk why weren’t you aborted after I fucked your mom?
He is truly a shit character, i still like playing him though.
i like to play some low tiers such as plant, incineroar, ridley & puff. imo ken feels harder to get anything going on, i strugle a lot with him makes me believe he is bottom tier
>different tatsu
>different dp
>different f-smash
>a few other different things I'm forgetting
Why the FUCK is he considered an echo fighter?
That's because the character's unorthodox
Same reason why you probably suck at Bayonetta yet she's like, Mid tier, at the Top of Low at worst
Ridley is NOT low tier
the only reason why we have ken is because of he is an echo. ken is the OG fighting game clone character and would be chosen before akuma any day just because of that. many secondry characters from the third party series we have like chun would be perfect in the game. but for now it seems we will only get echoes as the second reps or at least just in ultimate
Fuck off, bitch
% and weight-dependent, smartass
Give me an example of one character and percent where it actually combos.
How do you buff the SFs to keep their core style and uniqueness without making them stupid and broken?
you are probably right but for example i play every now and then with friends that are not very good, like i can win against them consistently 15-1 while picking any char even unorthodox ones like snake or megaman
but if i pick ken or ryu it becomes like 2-1
Shadow hasn’t been in a good game.
Make their moves actually work? People fall out of Ken’s shoryuken/crescent way more often than they should.
shut the fuck up, spoiled cunt
we all know who deserved to be an echo
Just zone them until their spirit to space dies and then go in
Lots of patience, walking, and dashing, along with some quick aerials to get in have been pretty effective for me so far. Running down tilts and Focus Attack feints help, too.
It's still a pain to fight a sword-user who can swing their sword in any direction and cover a bunch of space, though.
play him in doubles or offline casuals
