We need a new Ecco the dolphin game

Doing tricks in Tides of Time was fun, you could get over rock formations and glitch yourself into walls to explore out of bounds

A new Eco game would just be a walking... er swimming simulator.

Maybe it's not out because it'll be marketed toward kids so they'll tone down the giant underwater xenomorph monster into something that won't scare kids and everyone would hate it.

Sega's problem is that most of their IPs are arcade-style games, which don't sell anymore. Plebs want "cinematic experiences" not 100% full throttle gameplay. That and the fact that Sega literally doesn't have the cash to afford even one flop.

Plenty of ways to play it now.

I imagine it to start bright and colourful at the start as you start closer to the surface but as the game descends deeper it starts to lose light until you eventually reach absolute darkness, some fish and plants can illuminate the place and maybe a few secret caves filled with crystals. The further down you go the creepier it gets and the creatures become more terrifying and alien attacking you from the dark. Giant Lovecraftiancreatures lurk at the bottom.
