I just replayed Killer 7 for the first time in ages after getting back into Suda's stuff with Travis Strikes Again and have spent the last two days soaking up everything I can about it from the beta stuff to the Hand in Killer7 book and I still have so many questions.
What's the deal with Young Harman? What's the significance of Edo and Mithra's cameo appearances? What the fuck is the Yakumo? How can the Killer 7 exist in the NMH universe?
Killer7/Suda thread
So basically there's 2 eldritch gods of eternity that fight with each other trough time and space.
One day a kid is born that has special powers, he has a "third eye" that allows him to see trough something something bullshit and he has this ability that allows him to take the form of people he kills.
So he kills seven killers in an hotel because they had to do some bullshit that would start a war or something, and he gains their personas.
Oh and at some point before that he also killed his mentor wich turns out is one of the two endless god-entities and then tried to kill himself but fusing with said entity kept him alive.
So basically you've got this guy going around with multiple personalities that are actual literal real people that live on in his soul that he can change into at any point, and one of them is a god.
The other god dude makes smiley dudes that explode to create chaos and the god dude inside you doesn't like it so trough a long series of bullshit events you fight him and win.
Hundreds of years later the fight repeats because these two entities can never stop fighting, it's a cycle.
I don't know howm this all fits in with NMH and i don't care, any game Suda made that isn't Killer 7 is trash anyway.
>So he kills seven killers
I mean, he kills 6 actually.
There were 6 killers in that hotel.
The black guy with a suitcase is just a slightly modified version of his real self, and the guy in the wheelchair is the god guy.
But you know what i meant.
Is Fatal Frame 4 worth playing? I have heard Suda wrote the story/directed the game.
It is absolute bottom of the barrel trash.
FOUR TIMES A DAY-UH
He co-directed it. Not sure if it's worth playing.
The Killer7 exist in the NMH universe in the same way the Space Odyssey books do. They share a large overarching plot, but the world details change a bit.
Also, I'm still working on transcribing the book from the TSA CE. It's kind of garbage so I'm dragging my feet. I'll try to have it done by the time DLC 2 is out.
killer7 was originally going to be directly connected to TSC/FSR, but they changed it because killer7 would release internationally and they wanted to avoid new people being locked out. Edo is a remnant of that
Why is Killer 7 so fucking /fa/? Would unironically wear every single outfit in the game.
Even Kaede?
Especially Kaede
fuck yeah
That old trailer with Sandance Shot hurts a bit now but it's understandable even if we got FSR and a good portion of that means nothing without TSC.
Does this turn into bullshit to milk money or is it doable F2P? I'd put like 20 bucks on it, but since it seems like your money is just used to buy temporary stuff, I'd rather jump out before I get hooked.
I find it kind of interesting that k7 goes out of its way to make sure it can't take place in the Kill the Past universe by saying the internet and flight travel are banned when they're super important to TSC and FSR.
But then TSA comes in and starts bringing characters from everywhere all together so I'm interested to see if Suda is going to actually expand on that or if it's just supposed to be winks and nods for GHM fans.
He still kind of shows up in the final game but you probably shouldn't read into it much farther than just reusing the model they already had.
Play it until you start to get bored, then drop it, look up the ending on YouTube, and torrent the GOAT soundtrack. It's perfectly possible to beat for free, just incredibly tedious.
TAKE THIS
STACY CONCERT GOIN ON
RITE C'HERE
It get really fucking grindy once you hit floor 20, on top of that fighter retrieval skyrockets to hundreds of thousands kill coins, meaning even more grinding, unless you're willing to shill out cash for DM revivals.
TSA makes it pretty exciting to see the next game mostly Travis clone and hopefully some Uehara shit. I feel like killer7 is just alt timeline stuff because isn't it implicated that ELBOW has time travel methods. Either way it was some good ass fan service bringing stuff back in TSA.
>mfw I played FSR back when it came out and was hopelessly lost
I should get around to playing it again now that I've actually played The Silver Case.
It's still really confusing but without it you cannot understand the Sumio/Kusabi plotline and our boy Tokio Morishima.
>Twilight/Moonlight Sydrome localized remaster never
>Flower Sun and Rain PS2 version localized remaster never
>official English release of Kurayami Dance never
He promised us FSR last year.
Surely he wasn't lying.
We already can play most of his stuff, which is a god damn wonder given how unpopular and niche it is. Count yourself lucky.
I am really glad that we finally got The Silver Case and 25th Ward after all this time.
Thing is I got the PS2 ISO of FSR and a lot of the low res backgrounds are still in the PS2 version so maybe the FSR remake is trying to be a bit more pleasant and that's why it's taking so long. PS2 FSR is like playing a weird N64/early PS2 hod podge but the characters and not far away backgrounds look much better than how bad the DS ver is.
i want to marry the character designer
There's not much sense in trying to fix the textures, the game looks jank regardless.
So, do you think pic related will end up fighting the Smiths in NMH3?
maybe
Did TSA ever explain that scar on his face?
So what the hell is going on with Jeane? Did he just name his cat and likely daughter after his ex? How is Jeane able to talk now and why does she have an X scar on her face in the VN sequences?
