I've stopped and started Bloodborne like 4 times over the course of 3 years now. Still haven't finished it, finally killed cursed amygdala and quit again last time, that was like a year and a half ago now. Sekiro has kept me engaged the whole way through, but I'm not playing on console. I'm pretty sure I would have finished Bloodborne by now if I didn't have to drag my ass to the PS4, PC is just so much more convenient for me.

At level 317 where I'm at it's attack rating is exactly 1000.

Thrust damage is big on kin enemies. So the weapon is serrated for extra damage on beasts, and pokey for extra damage on kin. It's an all-around excellent weapon with reach when you need it.

You must be on NG+++ though. Is that even effective that far up? I don't touch Dark Souls new game stuff

Yeah man it's fine. Dark Souls 2 is the only one where 90% of weapons become actual dogshit in NG+ and you need to start equipping the good stuff instead of things you like. Everything was nerfed in that game to be PvP-balanced but enemy resistances are WAY higher than player resistances so all that did is make everything shit in PvE in dark souls 2 on NG+ and above.
