Get in here, Grimchads. How's your build going? What do you do to speed up the grind to level 100?
Grim Dawn
every drop I'm getting has nothing to do with my character
What build are you running?
acid poison with hunter
What is the point of those skip difficulty items if you don't even get the devotion points from normal and elite shrines? What masochist would attempt ultimate with such a handicap
Welcome to the world of arpgs, we hope you enjoy your stay.
They also unlock all the rifts in easier difficulties so it's easy to get 20 levels from a couple quests in Ultimate, then swing by all the shrines on Normal to make up the difference.
some goofballs are having fun playing a basic lowbie bitch in ultimate for the new difficulty challenge it poses
I'm thinking of replaying it with the new expansion. Any fun caster builds that you would recommend?
Is the new secret crate boss supposed to be retarded hard or am I doing something wrong?
Anyone have some advice about grinding FOR ultimate? My gear is shit coming out of elite and while I think I could do ultimate to a point, it would probably be slow and I would be either running or dying way too much.
This hurts the most. I have 2 tabs of purples and literally nothing is helpful to me.
>trying to get the activate all five shrines in SR acheev
>only found 3 different ones so far
It better not fucking mean you gotta get the five buffs at once because I swear to fucking god
get lokarr set -> use mandates and ultimate thing -> run through normal and elite to get 55 devotions while picking up any decent gear to fill your slots -> go to ultimate and progress normally
works pretty well
Factions. Factions have passable gear.
Once you have one character on ultimate at 100 it's a cakewalk because you can just buy the faction certs for 100% rep gain for every new character.
Also make use of components in all of your armor. Use good ones if you got any but try to max resistances (wardstones, soul shards etc. are great for fixing shitty resistances). You can just salvage the item to get the componetns back when you get upgrades so don't be afraid of using the good shit.
And PS. since ultimate fucks your resistances up you'll probably need to get augments anyway. Black Legion has you covered with the 7% aether + 7% chaos one and pierce+poison one. Great allrounded augments.
You are almost making me almost feel bad for obtaining the enitre Ultos set minus the Gem in drops on my lightning druid.
My resists are maxed, I mostly just seem to take forever to kill certain enemies and even with maxed resists I find it really easy to get two shot by some bosses. Really wish I was wearing more than just half greens, half blues I had on normal.
>eye of Beronath or set amulet if your set includes one, add seal of annihilation
>green rings with resistances, open hand/closed fist or elemental balance, topaz on each
>stonehide greaves of gdstashing
>same 2-3 weapons of every kind that are broken as fuck for the damage type when compared to everything else (Belgothian's, fangs of Ch'thon, mindwarp...)
>highest level relic with bonuses to both your main class and damage type you can find
>same couple broken devotions for your damage type, 1-2 of the defensive ones on top of that
>if your class doesn't come with skills that allow it, get something to dual wield melee/guns if that's the route you're taking
>kraken if you go 2h
Factions are probably the answer anyway. Just check which one has some good shit for your build.
Are you following a guide or doing an OC build? Because if OC it might just be ultimate starting to reveal the cracks. Been there when I first started.
I need your help, fellow grimchads. I used to run with a pretty atypical build, a dual wielding chaos witchblade, using voidsteel for chaos damage and a fuck ton of ADCTH
Found a blueprint for the Rah'Zin set so I basically crafted it four times, kept the best and rerolled the rest to the rest of the set. Now I basically have two choices
>15k+ hp, decent damage, acid converted to chaos to blood of Dreeg thanks to darkblaze, 30% overcapped cold and lightning, absolutely fucking overcapped fire thanks to devil's cage
or
>12k hp and noticeably more damage using the set's granted skill + chaos damage Zolhan's technique, barely capped resists
Which would you go for? Build is definitely not a crucible slayer, but fun as fuck to play
Looks like they got around to posting its stats on Grimtools. On its own it's on par with Lokarr, but it drops those summons that will fuck you up, especially if you try killing them.
Why did you copypaste my post?
Dropped 3/4 Ghol set while trying to complete Bysmiel and Beastfaggot.
I'll have to make a third fucking pet character if I ever get another piece of it.
At least with the new transmuter you can just make the helmet of a set repeatedly and transmute that to get the rest
>set I want doesn't have a helmet
h-haha yeah so easy
Doing a skellington cabalist, which near as I can tell is pretty full proof. My constellations could probably use some work but I feel like I can't be far off the mark skills wise.
Does it matter what random lego blacksmith you use in terms of item outcome or is it just a different materials dump?
Way to be as boring as possible dumb summon monkey.
Cabalist has two of the funniest builds in the game and you chose to do summon sleep fest
>full proof
Truly, a diamond dozen
If you just maxed everything related to skeles, yeah, should be fine.
You shouldn't be having killspeed issues with a skele cabalist though, even with basically no gear.
>stop liking what I don't like waah
I'm at about 1200% pet damage with full buffs but I dunno, just doesn't feel very fast.
Personal use.
Someone pls help me make up my mind, I can't even
You got a loicense for that?
is mp any good? or is it mostly a singleplayer game?
FUCK Thermite Mines
Can be fun with the right companions, but if you gather 4 minmaxed people for superbosses and key dungeons, they'll be a literal steamroll with zero risk beyond the usual bullshit
>some retard tries to get someone else to rush him a Mogdrogen kill
>keeps dying and healing the boss to full
thanks, ill pick it up then. I hope necros atleast a bit like in d2
You can go skeles and I'd say it's more fun playing summoner in GD than it is in PoE and D2. You have more buttons to press and way more control over your pets.
Nice
If you want pet stuff the other cookiecutter option is Shaman/Occultist. You get more animals instead of skeles.
Basically summon druid vs. summon necro in terms of amount of pets too.
I honestly wish there was a modifier to make Thermite Mines into a singular mine but it actually lands WHERE YOU THROW IT. I always hated how you're mostly sort of guessing how the three mines are going to split. Also the reason I never liked Mortar Trap that much--it aims where it decides to aim, but not where I might want. Drop The Big One in the middle of the pack you shitty mortar
>try playing this shit
>go necro since very few games have necros
>combat is literally just stand around waiting for skeletons to kill everything
>start falling asleep after playing for a bit
>quit game and havent played it again
this is the boringest game ive ever played it should be called grim yawn instead
Best place to farm for Soiled Trousers?
You can build around other skills. You don't have to use pets.
>play a build that's based on pets and not doing damage yourself
>"dude why is this so boring"
I swear half of this fucking board are actual chimps
>build so that the game plays itself
>cry about it
Have you considered rolling a spellcaster or death knight instead, retardo?
>Need to make another endgame mythical relic
>Needs another mythical relic as a material
Why are these such a pain in the ass to make?
>grim yawn
Nice falseflag /poeg/-kun. Also pet builds are always the most passive kind of build you could go for in these kinds of ARPGs. Yes even meme skelly builds in D2. Try using other skills in conjunction with pets maybe?
>boringest
spic niggers are the worst
>/poeg/-kun
This is the dumbest shit.
Aren't we all friends here? I play PoE but I also love Grim Dawn. GD to me is mostly a chill single player game. PoE is tryhard online shit that I play for a few weeks ever 3 months.
>>stonehide greaves of gdstashing
>cheating for a craftable item of all things
lol
I'm just saying, don't pretend that it's just GD that has boring 100% pet builds.
Kind of dumb replying to you when it wasn't me you were replying to, but anyway. I actually love pet builds in GD.
I thought that was pasta, and if it's not, I'd assume it's just someone who doesn't like ARPGs in general. I see a lot of people complain that ARPGs in general are a snoozefest.
But summon druid sucks after normal, while summon necro sucks on normal bosses.
>the level 65 relic I've been wearing for 25 levels isn't an ingredient for the level 90 relic I need
>crafting the level 90 relic require mostly the same components and relics as the level 65 one, plus another mythical relic
>Also pet builds are always the most passive kind of build you could go for in these kinds of ARPGs
Some pet builds actually require you to constantly use billion of buttons to be really effective.
>Still haven't found the blueprint for the relic I want on my Infiltrator
Pain in the fucking ass
there are like.. multiple skills, on the necro tree alone, that both allow you to be active in fights and buff your dudes at the same time.
