How about a thread about Yakuza then?
Is it going to be as well optimized as the last two?
Kiwami 2 imminent on PC

>Is it going to be as well optimized as the last two?
i hope so, don't forget 0 and kiwami are literally ps3 games and kiwami 2 runs on the newer dragon engine
I knew 0 was a PS3 port, but I didn't expect it to run 1440p 60fps ultra on a 750ti.
>japan
>ebin games
pick one
That was fucking quick.
I'm guessing 6 and then Judgement will come next. Let's hope 3,4 and 5 follow too.
hopefully we wind up getting 6, 2K, and the HnK game. 0 did pretty damn well from what I saw and Kiwami did ok on pc
I bought Kiwami 2 but have yet to play it, since I have my PS4 at 5.05 software. Hopefully Judgment will come to PC as well.
I heard 0 and Kiwami ports were kinda lazy and still have issues, I don't expect much now that this is the dragon engine which means more glitches and shit will likely occur with the physics and shit
The Yakuza community really got worse when 0 hit PC not pirates or any of that shit, just more idiots coming to the series and making gay ships and gay fanart and bloating the community with shitty memes all over the internet. I got in with 0 on PS4 and even then everyone was chill and it was hype waiting for Kiwami to come over and 6. But after 6 and more people started coming to Yakuza since many played 6 as their first one since it had shiny new graphics engine, shit went down hill and then PC ports happened. Fucking hell, now I know how anons felt who were the ones waiting for 5 to come over.
0 and Kiwami ports are literally perfect, they even removed Denuovo from them.
>Yakuza thread started with best girl's eyepatch
What a blessed day
Reminder to ignore obvious shitposter bait.
Of course we get the fast port for the fancy new engine my PC can't handle.
I've seen people of varrying rigs experiencing crashes and the lighting not being as good as the PS4 version even on highest settings
not coming out before july
They got recent lighting fixes.
It is improved but still not up to par to PS4 unironically
probably not, I expect another E3 announcement like last year
I play both on PC and some mediocore laptop and both run perfectly. Both had some bugs in the first weeks of the release like every other game that quickly got fixed (music didn't run in intro cutscene of Kiwami for me and my items got randomized at one point, it was at day 2 of the release). I bought Yakuza 0 when it was already patched out and never had any issues, runs at 60 fps on my mediocore laptop.
>Kiwami 2 on PC
>just posts SEGA's Steam store
How about some actual fucking sauce
only played 0, do I get to play as majima again?
kiryu's moves are boring
I'd rather have the original 2 on PC desu, Kiwami 2 is lazy garbage, vanilla 2 is unironic kino.
They teased Kiwami the same way.
You have to progress through the story and you unlock 3 Majima side chapters which are really short and you have to nearly beat the game to unlock the last chapter for Majima. Also Kiryu's moveset is different in 6 and Kiwami 2 but it is literal garbage even if you unlock every single move.
nigger the game has been rated for PC on PEGI and ESRB not a week ago, and now they changed it to their profile pic on steam
the studio said that judgement on pc is possible
what more do you need
Very briefly, it's a cut down version of his legend playstyle from 0 and it doesn't last long.
Is it better than Kiwami 1?
I heard Kiwami 1 was proper shite after Y0.
k2 is inevitable, its already up on esrb and pegi. what i really hope is they announce more games in the series instead of what we already know
why not just emulate in that case
Majima is playable in some side quest section of the game. At least there will be cabaret minigame again.
No. Unless you play this game.
Kiwami 2 is unironically a boring experience you are best to emulate or play on actual PS2 OG 2
>side chapters
>really short
>cut down
well that's depressing
which one has the minigame where you photograph girls?
>the HnK game
You don't want that. Or at least you don't want to pay money for that.
K2
my autism demands it
was it really that bad?
Which Yakuza PC game is best for a newcomer?
This. Everyone was hyping this shit up and it looked like shit in trailers and played like dogshit
0
Kiwami 1 isn't shit. It's just an alright expansion pack of 0. Don't go in expecting something on 0's level and it's still fun.
0. It's a prequel but it doesn't rely on or ruin any of the other games. It also has the best gameplay in the series.
0 > Kiwami > Kiwami 2 >3 > 4 > 5 > 6 is best order
Go 0, it’s amazing.
I do emulate it when I wanna replay it but PCSX2 isn't perfect, I'd love for a port of the original 2 in HD on PC. It's a shame that people will experience that game in a diluted form through Kiwami 2 first, OG 2 is legit one of the greatest games I've ever played.
0. It's built as an entry point.
Kiwami 2 has way better gameplay though
is not a shitty FPS game why the fuck would epic want it?
It's not proper shite, just kinda shit compared to 0. You play only with Kiryu, side stories are worse and some proper shit, Majima everywhere gets boring after you max it, story is much less emotional, chase section is even worse, all but one boss fight are fucking shit etc but it's still a good game.
Why does everyone who makes Yakuza fanart draw in such an ugly way?
Where the FUCK is Ishin?
they will anounce kiwami 2, Yakuza 6, judgement AND Dragon of the north star
It's not really as much of an entry point as people think. There are a bunch of things in that game that relies on you having knowledge of the characters from the previous games. That said, it's still a perfectly fine game to start the series with.
Kiwami 2 has better gameplay, 2 controls like shit and kiryu barely has any moves
the years have not been kind to that guy
0 is one of the best games of the generation, no reason not to start there. It's even the first chronologically.
>I heard Kiwami 1 was proper shite after Y0.
it's not as content packed as 0 (mainly it lacks a big minigame like cabaret and real estate) but its still really good if you liked 0. the main complaint really is you don't play as majima and kiryu's style are kinda meh compared to majima's which are obscenely fun.
> 2 controls like shit
Kiwami 2 has the shitty combat system from Yakuza 6, OG 2 has probably the fastest combat system in the series so far with a really arcadey feel to it and it's actually properly challenging. Having a bunch of moves means nothing if the game is piss easy, it just becomes fluff.
Some fan is doing a translation project and some parts look like shit, kinda hoping Sega get into gear and somehow deliver us Ishin
youtube.com
I started with 0 and after playing every game and going back it really doesn't rely on you having knowledge. It clearly describes the hierarchy of families and clans and the state of Yakuza at war and establishes everyones relationships. Every callback to other characters like Ryuji are just things for longtime fans. Not a single part is confusing because it lays everything out when it needs to.
witch one of the 2 ps2 games had that spining kick special atack?
Is Kiwami worth playing if I've beaten 1 fairly recently? How different are:
>the world
>sidequests
>the combat system
>minigames
There is only one side story where you don't know that one guy becomes main antagonist in another game, completely irrelevant really since that game where he appears is shit anyway.
I love how you can just do the running kick to deal with most mobs on the street in the dragon engine so much fun!
Everything is different and imrproved only things PS2 have over it is some of the hidden sidequests and the aesthetic. Play it in a few months.
>>the world
it's the same
>>sidequests
fairly fun, but nothing massively different from zero
>>the combat system
same as zero
>minigames
pretty much same as zero, but no sega games or dancing.
Oh no, it's really not confusing or a bad place to start but they play around with the established characters in fun ways that you can only really appreciate if you've played the previous games first. It's actually a really great prequel in that regard, it's easy for newcomers but also offer a lot of stuff for veterans.
The Ryuji thing was kinda dumb though desu.
>the world
Literally the same except for the city where Majima was
>sidequests
Worse, some are just filler, Champion from that toy car thingy returns but side story is much shorter and much simpler.
>the combat system
Better IMO since you unlock skills with xp and not money
>minigames
No real estate (good) and cabaret (bad) minigames.
Think of it as a DLC for Yakuza 0. It's much shorter.
Oh I was comparing it to 0 not original 1, nevermind then.
>Is it going to be as well optimized as the last two?
Who knows? Kiwami 2 runs on a completely different engine, it could be easiar, or harder to port and optimize for PC.
What's the likelihood of a Yakuza 0-2? I remember reading an article saying that the studio was considering it but I can't find it now.
I feel like I appreciated the previous games more because 0 was clearly this anniversary event for the series and put everything great about the game in a single package then going back and playing all the other games added a level of weight to see how far this series has come.
Yes ryuji shit was dumb outside of when he met kiryu
It's boring. Which is worse because you're just sitting there making this face all the time.
It's not good enough to elicit a response, it's not bad enough to elicit a response, it just is.
It will be harder to optimize for sure, since Kiwami 2 doesn't run at 60fps on console.
Depends if they think Majima can carry a full game.
How do characters not have brain damage after getting hit in the head so many times?
Thanks for the input.
Yeah, had me confused, for a bit as I haven't played 0 yet. Which I probably should do first, I just don't feel like diving into yet another 100 hours game.
I don't see why not.
>quests in yakuza
>meet a character
>they're weird
>kiryu ask if they need help
>at some point you fight
>from in some quick tearjerker
Wow great game here
I think we need a better bridge from somewhat crushed Majima to a joker fucking crazy Majima so I hope they do it. 0 did fine in some ways with the whole "I'm just a clown" and him realizing what he has to do to protect his waifu but it still doesn't really show how he became THAT crazy (or why he started to pretend that he is that crazy).
Yes you should play it first. What new content Kiwami adds from the original is paying off stuff from 0 even if 6 pretends the original is canon
Nice, now i'll finally get to play Yakuza Kiwami 2 at 60 frames
Fuck this makes me want to pick up a Yakuza game again.
*jet engine noises*
SLAP
SLAP
SLAP
There is not even enough room to fit that, at best we could get expansion of the relationship between him and Park which for some reason they never shared any scenes in 5 which made their relationship mean nothing even though it is integral to his character and the themes of 5.
The transition from Majima being stoic to being absolutely batshit at the end of 0 was weird as hell. I haven't played the other games but I understand it's just fanservice thrown in like Nishiki commenting on Kiryu's suit but holy fuck, it threw me for a loop.
Can you play through Yakuza games without doing any mini-games? I don't want to play karaoke bullshit.
>quests in Yakuza
>meet a character
>they're weird
>kiryu ask if they need help
>you start to engage in a fucking toy racing minigame, spend shit ton of cash to create best stylish and faster toy car world has ever seen, some kids waants to be your wife and you almost end up in jail, you BTFO your enemies and get that victory look from Kiryu and love the game.
Yes. Some of the most challenging side stories involve dancing though and they are pretty fun.
Why does seeing him get fucked up make me so HARD
The plot forces it a little but it's perfectly tolerable if you only care about the main story.
Speaking of side stories, plenty of them require you to master certain minigames, or involve exotic scenarios thereof.
I like Kiwami 2's controls, but in no way does Yakuza 2 control like shit.
Shit controls is Yakuza Kiwami 1's DoD style, when you go from that to Yakuza 2 you'll learn to appreciate how much better it controls from the get-go.
Hell, I have a feeling most of the people who say the original 2 games "don't control well" haven't even playing them beyond the first hour.
I like Kiwami 2, but in no way is it the definitive version of the game, it has pros and cons.
People thinking Majima's transition to being kinda self-loathing and stoic to a psuedo-madman are being absurd. For one he isn't really crazy he is playing an act to mentally protect himself from the world he lives in as a Yakuza. Two, this is seen in a lot of Eastern stories where the hero goes on a journey and meets different masters or has experiences and takes a bit from each to form their own ideology or skill. Majima learned from the characters in 0 like Nishitani, and Lee different values in himself which form his mad dog character.
Anyone else play just for the mini games?
Karaoke is just pure kino, with dancing being pure rage kino.
Both of them do, but in Yakuza 1 you have to get it from a coin locker IIRC.
I though the ending to 0 made it very clear that he puts on that crazy facade in order to never get close to another person like Makoto again.
Him beating the shit out his sidekicks is absurd though, especially after the way he treats everyone in 0, even when is being actually himself. But then again it's just a vidya and his minions like him when he beats them so whatever.
Am I the only one who hates the new skill point system in the dragon engine games?
i liked it. before he dies nishitani sort of lends him his personality to tell him to never ever let himself get played ever again so majima goes only pretending to be retarded to make sure of it. when i played k1 he sort of turns it off when he helps kiryu break his limits.
God, even the animations are more expressive in the original.
Crazy enough to nearly take the eye out of one his clansmen? I don't think they balanced it enough.
Yeah, it was the first one I played and even I could tell it was massively shoehorned in, surely that completely ruins a potential 0-2?
God I wish Sega would do something other than pander to Yakuzafags for a change.
Majima has a code and his minions sometimes don't follow it. Yakuza who go against the said code all must follow he sees as enemies or suspicious, just look at Terada. He did things for his own interest and made Tojo look like pussies. It is not farfetched to believe he would even see his own minions as scum if they were so selfish in their actions.
It makes sense in the context of PC releases but they are just going to ignore Yakuza 6 then?
The people he hangs out with are horrible people though. The ending of Yakuza 0 implies that he is directly involved in scamming young girls and then raping them while filming it and then using that tape as blackmail/selling it as porn. I don't think it's out of character for Majima to fuck up people like that.
The faces are unironically better in the original, just look at Kiryu's stare
But in 4 he beats the shit out of them for literally no reason.
It like the animation in Yakuza 2 was ahead of its time when I played it.
To go from the animatronic-esque animation of Yakuza 2 to the extremely detailed and expressive animation in Yakuza 2's cutscenes was something else.
Where else would you buy the game?
In Yakuza 3 Kanda beats the shit out his men, a lot of captains do. It is to show your role and demand respect especially to those who are not rightfully representing under your family name.
So are people in 0, in cabaret business he deals with some top-tier shitters and yet helps them and understands them. Basically Kiryu-tier. In other games he just goes lol random and starts to beat up random dudes who worship him for no reason. Plus not all Yakuza are terrible people.
>To go from the animatronic-esque animation of Yakuza 1*
Yeah, they didn't really bother to go for the small facial animation details when remaking the cutscene in Kiwami.
It's really impressive how much polish they put into those cutscenes for a PS2 game.
They're probably going to release 3, 4 and 5 before 6
His personality was basically retconned in 0 because he was made a protagonist. None of the other games imply Majima is anything but a terrible person.
I feel like in 3 and 4 there were hints because Majima became more popular
Maybe they're just going in series order, Kiwami 2 later this year and for Christmas, 3-5 remasters.
Yeah I think 0 did fine in some way, like Nishitani telling Majima how to live but even Nishitani had some limits. While it's completely possible for people to just make the click I wish we have seen actual Kiryu-chan! side of Majima in 0.
His personality got retconned with the change in writer from 2 to 3. He already mellowed out a lot in 3 and 4, Dead Souls have him feeling sympathetic to some little kid and 5 has that love story thingy. The original releases of Yakuza 1&2 has a pretty different tone and feel from the rest of the series, a bit more gritty and grounded, although still melodramatic.
I like HnK and I want to rip Lyn's model and/or nude mod her.
>It's really impressive how much polish they put into those cutscenes for a PS2 game.
It doesn't really surprise me, the leap from PS1/N64 to PS2/GC was insane. Devs that experimented with 3D before were now having more computing power that they could dream of. No wonder they tried to get the best result possible from it. Yakuza 2 came late into the lifecycle of the PS2 as well, but you could see things like that in early titles like FFX or MGS2
>Maybe they're just going in series order
fine with me, im just happy they're coming out.
>None of the other games imply Majima is anything but a terrible person.
>t. Literally hasn't played anything but 0 and Kiwami
This is why Zerofags get such a bad rap in these threads.
His personality in Zero is literally just an extension of what we learn about his past in Yakuza 4 (Hence the flashback scene at the beginning of his story in 0 that's LITERALLY from Yakuza 4), meanwhile we already knew he wasn't a piece of shit from Yakuza 2 and 3 where its shown repeatedly he can have a level head when needed, especially Yakuza 3 where he's one of the few sane ones still in the Tojo Clan.
Even if they did that I still think Shimano being able to see through Majima fucks up the whole idea
He probably laughed in Majima's face the first time he tried pretending to be crazy around him
ITT: Z00merfags spread misinformation as per usual.
4 is a series of missed opportunities, mainly the prison section.
Why the fuck have they turned him into an old dude?
Not him but I am a zerofag and even I know this. Even in Yakuza 1 there is that one scene where he could've taken the women hostage but let her go and his personality completely changed for a minute even in the scene later with Kiryu.
After beating 0 two weeks after it came out I bought a PS3 and played 1-5 before Kiwami came over in America. This is just false. And I will say the social media surrounding Yakuza has gotten really shitty with tumblr and deviantart shit and all this faggy shit.
Ive never played any game in the series, where should I start? i.e do I play 0 before 1?
Famous actor so they wanted to model his face in which also kinda ruins a part of his character by being old
0 then Kiwami 1
Play 0, Kiwami (better 1 basically) is basically a DLC for 0 after you beat it.
What missed opportunities?
I absolutely hate the big Saejima reveal that pretty much undoes most of the strife that character had to deal with. I would be fine with that if they went somewhere interesting with it but they didn't, it's absolutely retarded. A lot of the plot points in Yakuza 3 and 4 honestly feel like they just come up with some dark idea only to pussy out in the last second.
0 and Kiwami. Note that Kiwami is functionally an expansion pack of 0 with 1's writing pasted over so don't expect something as mind blowing. It's laughably obvious where the new dialogue was added into Kiwami due to how much more memorable it is.
It's too short and just a series of boring fetch quests. It has that one emotional moment that was really good and tense though.
Yeah that must be literally the worst plot twist in history of videogames. I like 4 but holy shit that was bad.
Play 0 first, if you like it then be a patrician and play the original 1 and 2 on the PS2 and move on to 3, 4 and 5. Dead Souls is only if you really enjoy the characters and can put up with a shitty zombie shooter. Skip Kiwami 1 and 2, they are garbage.
Anyone here play the mobile game? Is it worth it?
The escape sequence and Hamazaki becoming a bro are kino
I've been told it's standard stupid Gacha bullshit, I just read the backstory it gives for Ichiban on the wiki.
Yeah I just wish that making of the grappling hook was done better and that it had more things going on inside prison not just that little thing in the courtyard.
Was gonna buy this but find out it has Denuvo. Pirated on principle.
They removed denuvo
Denuovo was removed from both games. Kiwami didn't even have Denuovo at the release.
They patched it out, pirate if you want but don't be a faggot pretending it's about morals.
Where did you find that out? 0 had denuvo removed in a patch and kiwami 1 never had it at all.
Based Sega.
denuvo was removed from 0 and k1 didn't even use it. good job dummy.
Money? Who said anything about money?
Yeah it was awful. We could have had a nice redemption arc, and it would clash well with how Kazama, a hitman as well was portrayed (especially after cleaning out the koreans in 2
Prison are always hard to do, because in real life it's just waiting and be bored, but i'd like if they expanded the chapter a bit.
I kinda hoped they would expand the prison in Kiwami 1 as well, at least in a side stories of Kiryu reminiscing. 10 years is on hell of a long time to serve. Surely there must have been some cool moments in there.
not even 2 months and already teasing
noice, maybe we can get another yakuza or judgement by the end of the year
It's kind of annoying that there's now a *20 year* time skip with the creation of 0 that the developers don't seem interested in investigating outside of flaskbacks. Given the path they're going with Shin Yakuza it doesn't seem likely that they'll ever revisit Kiryu's story either.
I see them officially announcing K2 ar E3 or if they do before then Judgment maybe next also depending when they announce 3-5 remasters they may also announce that but will probably come next year
If you care about principle it's one series that you can safely preorder, SEGA is surprisngly based with their removal of Denuovo and making actual quallity ports.
They said 0-2 could be a thing but considering they declared they're done with Kiryu and the timeframe it'd be in, it'd be Majima's adventures while Kiryu is in jail.
Ichiban was in jail during the same time as Kiryu so who knows maybe they were in the same one
how does pc still get games when everyone torrents them
It could be nice. It could show more of Majima deciding to become a meme and more of Nishiki becoming a dick without Kiryu. Also seeing how that whole clan making and minion recruiting works with Majima, more Millenium tower stuff etc.
How did 3ds get games, and DS and GBA and PS1 etc. People buy good games on steam, epic and GOG all the time
turns out people still buy video games when they're good, whoda thunk it?
>whole clan making and minion recruiting works with Majima
Repurpose the Cabaret gameplay into a building the Majima family minigame and I'd play the fuck out of it. Also bring disco back
Anyone can explain the plot of Yakuza 1 to me? 0 made almost prefect sense, but Kiwami lost me.
Most importantly; What the fuck is up with 5th Omi Chairman Terada?
>It is revealed that he was on Kazama's side all along, but it is said that Nishiki betrayed Kazama and went independent with his help.
>Which by the way how the fuck happened, how is his family still in the Tojo instead of the Omi?
>Also that he was the one who told Nishiki about the 10 billion being stolen which led to Sera being massively discredited before the entire Tojo Clan, leading to his death
>And why did he tell about the 10 billion to Shimano of all the fucking people?
And not a question, but fuck that ending.
Terada betrayed the Omi and went to Tojo because his ties with Kazama. He was a double agent of sort where he acted like he was on Nishiki's side to turn the opportunity on its head. He told Shimano to instigate everything and take that a chance to move in. Play 2, it gets even more complex when you take the twists in context of 1.
not anytime soon, as they're mainly focusing on new stuff instead of prequels.
thank fuck for that, as i'm honestly sick of kiryu and majima at this point.
So I should just play 2 and it will make more sense? Cause then I'm outta here, the plot is the best thing about Yakuza.
>sick of kiryu and majima
>they'll show up in shin yakuza for some reason anyway
Yes play 2, but also there is more complex shit added to the 10 billion added to the lore in 4 and turns a lot of shit on its head
maybe in a sequel, but no way they'd do it in the first game.
I'm going to pirate it
Based, only brainwashed casuals use Steam or pay for digital distribution.
This.
>paying to rent pixels and 0s and 1s
Uh, Terada's machinations in 1 are not really expanded upon in 2, but as you can imagine, he has a much larger role.
Tbqh, by the time that girl's dead body turned up, I desperately wanted the whole 10 billion yen thing to just be over.
>he says as he pays his ISP to transmit 0s and 1s to shitpost on a japanese money-laundering board
low effort bait
Oh wait, where did that corpse even come from?
What you can actually launder money here ? Why did no one tell me ?
if you're talking about 1 there's a side story for that, but I don't know if it's new to Kiwami
I was just trying to make a yakuza joke
I am being serious
There's a substory if I remember right where a bar wanted their girl to dress up like Yumi and even get the same tattoo, the yakuza mistook it as the actual Yumi since the boss made her look nearly identical to her
Even if it's bait it's kind of true. The gay shipping is the absolute worst and the vast majority of it comes from zero babies.
Oh yeah, a lot of the sidestories in Yakuza 1 are actually plot critical and not only explores the plot more in depth but also sets up plot points for Yakuza 2.
>I am being serious
seriously baity
Why would anyone want their hostess to look like Mizuki? Mizuki is an uggo. Yumi is an uggo.
Yamato nadeshiko? More like yamato nadeshito.
I am speaking on how I feel and based on my observations not trying to bait
Just because she was popular and got customers or whatever
my beautiful son
Don't know why people hate his design, he looks like an actual yakuza and seems interesting
He looks like the troll boss from Tails get trolled
it's mainly the hair that some people complain about for whatever reason.
his hair is probably my favourite part of his design. looks messy as fuck, and gives him a more wild vibe.
He looks based
>60fps Kiwami 2
Really hope that JRPG Battle thing is actually in his game, it looks fun.
He looks biracial.
>falling for Valve's brainwashing
They could always give it a physical release. The fact that consoles got one but not PC proves that Sega sees PC as nothing but a bunch of brainwashed corporate cock sucking Valve and digital distribution drones that throw money away for nothing, I guess they aren't that wrong when you faggots are going to give them a donation through Steam instead of pirating it.
I'm playing Kiwami and it's fucking great, better than 0 imho. The world is Kabukicho so it's the same of 0, more sidequests (but all like go there, punch some guys, profit). Combat system is the same of 0 but you upgrade abilities with xp and not with money. Minigames cool desu.
Btw SEGA means handjob in Italian. The more you know...
I think you meant to say 144hz, arbitrary resolution and framerate support is the best thing about pc stuff
>Not knowing about okinawa
>physical
Huuuh NO THANK YOU. Only cucks buy physical games. Go back to your tranny discord.
Is this nigga serious?!
AHHHH YAKUZA KIWAMI 2 WHEN?!!?!?!?
Fuck
>thought I was clever by going behind him
>bullets turn at an impossible angle
Komaki doesn't fuck around.
>Rubber Bullets
That was the stupidest shit ever. What the fuck were they thinking.
>The Komaki Sniper Style
>Passed down from Toshigawa snipers from the Edo period
The Hannah-Man fight is the most bullshit since the game secretly expects you to lose.
It's not too bad, he has a predictable pattern you can block and then sneak in a few hits. It gives you a fuck ton of exp if you win.
I ended up putting it off until post game and barely won.
Winnie
The
Pooh
>Doubting Komaki
My man, this is a guy whose ancestor had a grudge with a guy for decades because he used weapons instead of his fists. He's totally serious.
>kiwami 2 at a playable framerate and with antialiasing
>posting with a tripcode
kiwami 2? what a yawner!
give me judgment and shin, the real dragon engine games to look forward to.
Why would you post such a bad remark?
Beast looking portrait, screams soul
didn't say that you in particular could reply to my post.
mind your own business and move the fuck along.
Literally no one cares about Shin. The protagonist looks like a faggot.
people know that it's going to be a better game than kiwami poo
Shin seems way more interesting than the shovelware that was the Kiwami's and the rushjob that was Yakuza 6. It seems like they are actually taking their time with a Yakuza game for once.
at this point Shin's going to be cross-gen isn't it
nah, it'll be on PS4 by the end of the year.
Nah, it seems like they're gearing up to release it pretty soon. Even then it would have to be pushed back to like late 2020 and even then we don't know if next gen is coming yet considering we've only just started getting rumors of the PS5 devkits fairly recently (As in, like one year at most). Sony's also skipping E3 this year so there's no way it's being announced this year.
>chink
God I hope so. I have no interest in the FotNS game or Judgement.
They might stay behind the curb anyway, I doubt they'll want to move to next gen before the big devs that sell consoles do and since games take so fucking long to make now, it'd be awhile.
Why would they go out of order? 3-5 should go first.
>Is it going to be as well optimized as the last two?
Considering that it's a completely different engine my guess is it won't
Anyone has the PS2 emulation image?
I won as soon as it unlocked, I ended up spending all my healing items and it took a lot of time.
this one?
didn't say that you in particular could reply to my post.
mind your own business and move the fuck along.
If anything they'll probably do a delayed port a year after the PS5 happens. Keep in mind they were into doing both Kenzan and Ishin even though the PS3 and PS4 were brand new, so I wouldn't doubt them porting it relatively soon to the PS5's release.
>implying japs would ever support chink stores
>Yuki-chan became a christmas cake club owner that spends her days on cabaret club forum sites
I can't believe there are people who would spout this shit meme in a thread about a game series that gets chinese translations faster than the english translation
Is the price going to be the same as 0 and Kiwami?
Any word on Y5 HD gameplay?
Any word on translation for 345HD?
I need to see those 100 man battles in smooth 60fps
so it's safe to assume that there's never going to be a Kiwami 2, or FOTNSLP OST release?
probably.
K2 was the same price as 0 when it came out.
It's only a few years old and probably cost a lot more to make so likely not. They've also built a decent fanbase on PC with 0/Kiwami so they might not need to.
Kiwami is much shorter than other 2 games, probably same price as 0.
they'll probably show off 5 a bit before it's released.
as for translations, nobody knows atm, though they could happen as a bundle.
it's going to be full priced this time, 0 and Kiwami already had price drops on the PS4 when they got ported, Kiwami 2 is still full priced on the PS4, unless they price drop it along with the port, but that's unlikely
>They've also built a decent fanbase on PC with 0/Kiwami so they might not need to.
they've also built a fanbase with the VC1 port and look what happened to VC4
>bought Kiwami 2 a few weeks ago
I fucked up. I fucked up. I can still pirate it and experience that sweet 144hz but it won't be enough.
345 will probably get announced at E3 for us, they literally only made them to sell to us westerners since the series started doing well overseas. Probably doing new translations as well as translating the cut shit from the previous English releases.
Would you buy a full spin-off rhythm game?
don't forget lewd bug waifus
I would buy a spin off karaoke game.
only zoomers prefer OG 2
Which Yakuza is even near 0's level. 6 was a bit disappointing
that makes no sense
Thanks!
i would buy sega so i can make them dev yakuza ddr
2,4,5, and maybe ishin (haven't played that yet)
a lot of people who have played judgement are saying it's great as well.
Kiwami 2 has a good story with good substories and minigames. It's the closest to 0 in terms of quality imo.
i don't know any languages
how the hell you reading these posts, boy?
But user, you're posting in English!
What I read about the Judgement translation is some of the best things I've ever read regarding handling translation.
like what
Yakuza 5 is the best content-wise. It's far more ambitious and larger than any other Yakuza game.
Yakuza 4 is also very solid.
yakuza 4 seemed great for the first few hours or so and definitely has alot of content but then i find bat b bont blay bas biryu bor bost bhe bame
Two sets of English subtitles. One to match what the dub actors say and localization and one that is what the Japanese actors say.
>bat b bont blay bas biryu bor bost bhe bame
Nigga the fuck?
Anyone who picks English for a Japanese cultural sim is a faggot.
>bat b bont blay bas biryu bor bost bhe bame
are you okay?
Are you weebs seriously excited for more of the same shit?
God DAMN.
This. Good on Sega for putting a lot of effort into this translation but anyone who was asking for an English dub is a retard.
Exactly. They are letting us avoid all that gay shit and just get a nice regular translation of them in subs.
The only problems I had were related to high refresh-rates and were easily fixable. Both ran smooth as butter at triple-digit FPS
Or they want to hear and understand everything
One of the reasons this series gives me a headache is all the dumb loud moonspeak when you're walking around.
Sadly most games would just go the lazy path and make the subs the same as the dub. Not letting dubs hurt the subs is great news.
You could take this as an opportunity to another language instead of being a little bitch.
Every game with dual voice over should have this. FFXV was bizarre in nip with english subtitles, sometimes they had nothing to do with one another
>but then i find bat b bont blay bas biryu bor bost bhe bame
user please respond i'm worried
He looks like he tells fortunes
I would buy Project Diva on PC.
>doesn't have dancing Japanese mafia in it
No I don't want this
Too bad I'm not gonna buy it since SEGA jumped back on the Denuvo dick sucking game
>I hate Denuvo so much I'm going to not buy games that don't have it.
Kiwami didn't even have it patched out, it just didn't have it.
You expect SEGA to have any kind of consistency?
The only thing they're good at is disappointing people
You are describing DMC5, not Yakuza
0 and Kiwami were Playstation Hits titles when they came out on PC so the $20 price point makes sense in that context. At best it'll probably be $40 unless they just decide to release everything for $20 but a year or more later after the console release. Valkyria Chronicles 4 was full price for example despite 1 being $20.
Only if it's a karaoke game with customizable characters featuring all the songs from previous games, variants for multiple characters (Ala Bakamitai or Rouge of Rove), and a bunch of new OC songs which of course will be used in later games as if no one will notice. A karaoke game would be amazing just because it's their best minigame by far.
How you feel is basically this
>I started with the most popular game on a most popular console
>everyone who started after me is a newfag
You're the newfag user
all that shit happened prior to the PC ports or even their announcements
i don't know how your head can be so far up your ass or you're just baiting
using denuvo and then backpedaling isn't based. there's nothing based about shitting your pants and then cleaning it up months after thousands of people told you to.
>shade boost
>FXAA
>direct3d9
garbage
based
Kiwami requires twice the effort for button mashing segments if at 120+fps.
Yakuza zero also still has the lighting issue
So what's the difference between this and Sonic All Stars Racing?
I liked it more as a hokuto no ken fan. As a yakuza game leveling up is shit and requires multiple playthroughs. The combos are great however and if the game didnt have the ishin tier grinding for leveling up then it be GOAT. Also always feels like you are weak when doing the colliseum battles.
It has less characters and only cars.
Haven't played a single Yakuza game since the first two PS2 games. How's the rest of the games?
No Sega characters, no vehicle transformations, Wisps used as racing items, customization, focus on team racing (I don't even know how that's going to work) and that's it.
lmao what? Kiwami 2 improved the 6 gameplay ten fold by literally making enemies blocks not cancel your combo. Made the game way better and 6 would;d benefit from this. Its a better remake then Kiwami was to 1.
FUND IT
Although secretly I thought disco was a lot of fun, I don't know why everyone hates it so much
Harder to run(higher specs needed) but not necessarily optimize.
>Yakuza zero also still has the lighting issue
No. It's already been fixed.
I remember both games looking exactly the same. Kiryu was just not angry all the time on his face in 2.
A lot of people can't get into the quick steps in between notes, and add onto this the flashing lights in your face and it's easy enough to understand. Add onto this the fact that the L1 special dance is actually worse off for you to do if you're at a high enough combo because you miss tons of notes and the point multiplier gets higher than the L1 when you're roughly around 20 or 30 successful hits.
Enemy blocks still drop your combo just like in 6, they just do it a bit less. Judgment still has the same problem as well but only certain enemies do the guarding besides bosses. The combo also doesn't drop fully, it just drops that attack in the combo, you can still continue the combo if you are able to when you get blocked, it's one of the ways they say "sorry" to you for it.
You sure? I dont think ive ever had my combo dropped when an enemy blocked in K2 meanwhile thats the entire reason I hated playing 6. 6 was a circle simulator.
Absolutely sure.
I dont see it in that webm. Seems like kiryu continued then gets hit by the RPG or amon dodges.
that looks nice. theater square looks so much bigger compared to 0 and k1, maybe its just me
I'm hyped for the Yakuza 6 engine lads
The entire city is bigger in general.
Kamurocho feels like it's closer to a 1:1 scale of Kabukicho in Yakuza 6 and K2
How accurate is Sotenbori to Dotenbori?
I wish they had Kiryu spend them in Akihabara.
>tiger drop
What were they thinking?
The punch where Sango guards and Kiryu gets bounced off is the moment because I am delayed before I can do anything and it continues the combo. The continuation of the combo is the exact same thing that can be done in 6 when you get blocked. You can see it in this webm as well. 6, K2, and Judgment all have the "bouncing off blocks" thing where your combo stops and then you can continue the combo from that point, Judgment just brought back the old system where you just hit against the guard and do no damage instead mixed in with the new guards.
No loading zones and being able to walk into random buildings/up random stairs etc. helps a lot, I think.
Nerfed to avoid making the post game a joke like in Kiwami, Kiwami's ultimate fight against Majima only takes about 10 seconds.
>They could always give it a physical release.
>Game would require 5 DVDs to store its contents on
SEGA isn't that crazy for a series that is niche in our territory (relatively), on a platform that skipped blurays and opting for digital downloads instead.
Unless you really want a cardboard box with just a serial key inside.
No one on PC wants a physical release other than maybe a few as a pure collector's item. You don't know shit.
There are an uncountable number of Yakuza fujos though
>newbie fujos keep trying to turn your yakuzafu gay
I hate this
