We allowed to post MYST stuff here? I didn't know we were allowed to post MYST stuff here. Do I have to pretend to be into a certain demographic or can I actually enjoy their company and believe that language changes and I can enjoy various dialects and twangs? Was that a question of did I forgot?
What's this meme? Can't nu/v/ enjoy classic masterpieces?

It's a joke with basis in the fact that 99% of players who liked Syberia (sp?), Myst and the like, as well as the overwhelming majority of point&click players have always been women or late teenage girls.
Jackson Scott
Myst is one of the best games of all time and "point and clickers" don't hold a candle to it.
>females >being into myst >a game that is essentially about a "programmer" fantasy setting where mathematical formulas compiled in a book-computer transform into worlds you can then enter - which is effectively a play on video game development itself >also requires massive amounts of logical reasoning as well as setting up equations with at least two unknown variables in the sequel, turning most puzzles into algebraic or combinatorial problems >again: females >being into a shit like that
just play realMyst, it's the same but 3D and with FPS controls so you'll be able to enjoy it without your stupid preconceptions about point&click getting in the way
Connor Flores
that ain't schizm though.
Speaking of which, Schizm 3 should be out soon.
Carter Stewart
I don't know why but Myst actually had wide appeal, I got my copy from my aunt.

Only in spiritual form do I compose a female collective bible entity known as The Church (of Christ Jesus Our Lord) as a male bodies male human boy man child hetero likes girls to away rapis-liberals-t crotch poking mayan spirit juju.

It was huge in 1991 or whenever it came out, people thought it was the most realistic thing they had ever seen, and bought it just to walk around

Is Myst for the 3DS good?

I just recently replayed the first four games again.
It’s been more than 15 years since I first beat those games but I still remembered far too many of the solutions, which is frustrating. That’s always the real shame of puzzle games; the best lateral thinking problems leave such an impression on you when you finally solve them that you’ll never be able to be stumped by them again.

real myst is kinda meh point and click is fine in this game the fps controls add nothing of value

After playing games like Portal, The Witness or The Belko Experiment (vr escape room), I think I can never go back to point'n'click. I'm addicted to freedom of movement and first person view.
Joshua Rivera
The original RealMyst looks meh but I think the Masterpiece edition looks great and the free movement makes things less confusing and doesn't really take anything out of the experience, I really wish I had a VR set to live inside Myst.
